Recently, James showed her face at a promotion ceremony for New York Firefighters. Why she was there is an interesting question since she really had no reason to put in an appearance. The FDNY Firefighters were not happy with her and they showed it, booing her loudly. This didn\u2019t sit well with the higher ups in the FDNY and someone sent out a message saying that theyw ere going to hunt these people down and punish them. Here are the details from the New York Post<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh<\/a> is hunting down smoke-eaters and other staffers who mercilessly booed\u00a0New York Attorney General Letitia James \u2013 and cheered in support of Donald Trump \u2013 during a department promotion ceremony this week, The Post has learned. <\/b><\/p>\n FDNY Chief of Department John Hodges fired off an email to other agency honchos warning a reckoning led by the department\u2019s\u00a0Bureau of Investigation and Trials was coming over the\u00a0chorus of boos and chants of \u201cTrump\u201d that James received at Thursday\u2019s event.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cBITS is investigating this, so they will figure out who the members are,\u201d Hodges wrote FDNY chiefs Saturday in the letter obtained by The Post. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cI recommend they come forward. I have been told by the commissioner it will be better for them if they come forward and we don\u2019t have to hunt them down,\u201d he continued.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThe [deputy chiefs] shall direct the captain of the company to make a list of those who come forward and send it directly to [FDNY operations]. I realize members might not come forward but they should know that there is clear video of the entire incident and they will be contacted by BITS if they don\u2019t,\u201d he wrote.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n Oh this isn\u2019t going to end well for those idiots, and I don\u2019t mean the firefighters who voiced their opinions of James and her persecution of the Greatest President of the 21st<\/sup> Century, Donald Trump. The reports indicate that those in attendance weren\u2019t on duty and weren\u2019t in uniform.<\/p>\n An FDNY retiree fumed at the department\u2019s heavy-handed response.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cIt was a political\u00a0stunt for the city to have\u00a0the AG there. When it backfired, they sent their fascist pit bulls after guys for exercising their First Amendment\u00a0rights,\u201d he said. \u201cMost were off-duty and not in FDNY uniform.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n If any actions are taken against these people, the lawsuits will be epic, and that\u2019s before the Union gets involved. (Which they damn well better. This is a classic reason for the existence of a union. Protecting their members from out of control management)<\/p>\n Famed constitutional and criminal law attorney Alan Dershowitz blasted the FDNY\u2019s hunt down. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cFirefighters have an absolute constitutional right to boo the attorney general, and the government\u00a0 has no power to punish them for it,\u201d Dershowitz told The Post. \u201cSo efforts to get the names of the booers\u00a0is an effort by the government to chill free speech\u00a0and is unconstitutional.\u201d\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n Now the FDNY management is claiming that they aren\u2019t actually trying to find out who boo\u2019d the corrupt AG, Letitia James. Here are those details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n The FDNY pushed back on a report that it was “hunting” down firefighters and staffers who booed New York Attorney General<\/a> Letitia James and shouted, “Trump! Trump! Trump!”\u00a0during a promotion ceremony last week, saying that it is simply looking into those who broke department regulations. <\/b><\/p>\n “Nobody is hunting anyone down,” FDNY spokesman Jim Long told Fox News Digital in an email on Sunday morning. “We\u2019re looking into those who clearly broke department regulations. It has nothing to do with politics. It\u2019s about professionalism at an official event held in a house of worship.” <\/b><\/p>\n Nice try. However there is this small problem of threats from the FDNY leadership to do just that. Hunt down and punish firefighters for exercising their right of free speech as protected by the 1st<\/sup> Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. Granted, Democrats don\u2019t think that such an archaic document matters in their quest for a Utopian State, but most people who aren\u2019t Progressive Liberal Democrats do.<\/p>\n I suspect that the FDNY management is going to try and walk this disaster back in some way. Their denial that they are going to track down people who boo\u2019d James is a small step. What\u2019s probably happened is that their legal staff has quietly asked them \u201cAre you Fu***ng insane?\u201d<\/p>\n The worst case scenario would be these morons finding and punishing firefighters and the firefighters walking off the job. That will turn not just people against the FDNY and the City Government, it will turn commercial building owners against them as well. Perhaps Commissioner Kavanaugh might want to consider a new line of work.
