Couric recently resurfaced and decided to burnish her Progressive Liberal Elitist credentials by insulting half of the American people. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n Former TV anchor Katie Couric<\/a> argued President Trump’s MAGA base was driven by “anti-intellectualism” and class resentment, in a recent interview. <\/b><\/p>\n On Sunday’s edition of Bill Maher’s “Club Random” podcast<\/a>, Couric debated the liberal comedian about the polarization in society and the motivations of Trump supporters. <\/b>Couric argued that the wealth gap in America was wider than ever before and had spurred class resentment in the culture. She argued this was driving the MAGA movement. <\/b><\/p>\n “The socioeconomic disparities are a lot and class resentment is a lot and anti-intellectualism and elitism is what is driving many of these anti-establishment \u2014 which are Trump voters \u2014 so, I think that is a huge problem that we have to address,” Couric said. <\/b><\/p>\n There is out of touch with reality, and then there are Progressive Liberal moonbats like Couric who live in a bubble on another planet in an entirely different galaxy.<\/p>\n She went on to double down on her argument that class resentment and jealousy drove voters to support Trump. <\/b><\/p>\n “I mean globalization and the transition from an industrial to a technological society \u2014 I don\u2019t know if you\u2019ve ever been jealous of someone else or resentful \u2014 it is such a corroding and bitter, almost bile feeling,” she told Maher. <\/b><\/p>\n “I think that when people who are really struggling see people who have everything, and are on top of that, looking down on them, it is just a recipe for such anger and resentment and grievance,” she continued. <\/b><\/p>\n This nonsense is right out of any Ivory Tower library and, as usual, completely misses the point. Like all Liberals, Couric not only doesn\u2019t understand what the acronym \u201cMAGA\u201d means, (Make America Great Again), she actually resents the very idea of America and everything it stands for. Bill Maher, who I personally have no use for, seems to understand what\u2019s driving people then Couric.<\/p>\n However, Maher pushed back on Couric’s argument, suggesting that Trump voters had legitimate complaints about Democrats, bringing up the border hypocrisy of sanctuary city leaders.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n I suspect that Couric stands with the Sanctuary City leaders in their demands that the border states stop shipping illegal aliens to them and instead just be good little slaves, listen to their masters such as Katie Couric and keep them in Texas and Florida.<\/p>\n Maher also said he was “bored” with the media’s negative treatment of Trump and wished they would understand the perspective of the typical Trump voter. <\/b><\/p>\n Now Maher is asking for miracles.<\/p>\n “Not to defend Trump, but to defend the people who still vote for him. Because what they see on the other side, to them, is even more dangerous. Because it’s closer to home,” he said, referencing gender ideology in schools and anti-Trump sentiment in the media. <\/b><\/p>\n “Those kind of things are what they say, ‘That’s why I’m voting for Trump,'” Maher added. “‘We don’t like him but he’s all that stands between us and madness,’ That’s their view. I would like that view presented [<\/b>by the media<\/b><\/u><\/a>].”\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n And that will never happen until there is a major overhaul of the MSM and they stop being the Democrat Propaganda Corps. As for Katie Couric, she\u2019s showing how out of touch she truly is with the average American. By her words, she\u2019s demonstrating that she is not an American, but one of the \u201cGlobal Elites.\u201d She is also showing that she is no longer relevant and should be basically ignored.
