Good day all. The politically motivated New York kangaroo trial against the Greatest President of the 21st<\/sup> Century, Donald Trump, continues and things aren\u2019t going to well for the prosecution. Last week, they put a witness on the stand to help \u201cGet Trump!\u201d It didn\u2019t go as expected.<\/p>\n

\n<\/p>\n

The witness was Hope Hicks who was President Trumps communications director during the 2016 campaign. She was called by the prosecution as a witness for the prosecution. It didn\u2019t go the way Bragg and his cronies thought it would. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

In an epic miscalculation that backfired spectacularly, prosecutors in the Manhattan hush money trial of Donald Trump<\/a> called Hope Hicks to the witness stand.\u00a0The moment cross-examination began, their misbegotten case against the former president began to collapse. \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Hicks, who served as press secretary during the 2016 presidential campaign, explained that Trump\u2019s motive for suppressing salacious stories was to protect his wife, Melania<\/a>.\u00a0 “Absolutely\u2026I don\u2019t think he wanted anyone in his family to be hurt or embarrassed about anything on the campaign.\u00a0 He wanted them to be proud of him.” \u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

I think the first words through the prosecution’s collective heads when Hicks said this was along the lines of \u201cOh SHIT!\u201d<\/p>\n

The account by Hicks<\/a> demolishes District Attorney Alvin Bragg\u2019s primary claim against Trump that he paid porn star Stormy Daniels for her silence with the intent to benefit his campaign and, thereby, influence the election by “unlawful means.”\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

To the contrary, it nicely corroborates the findings of a federal investigation that no crimes were committed, or campaign finance laws broken because there was another purpose for the non-disclosure agreement that Daniels signed. \u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

From there, things went from bad to worse. Another \u201cStar Witness\u201d is convicted liar Michael Cohen. Bragg and his team of Progressive twerps need people such as Hope Hicks and their previous witness, David Pecker, to corroborate whatever Cohen would say since his actual credibility is lower then a pregnant snail\u2019s belly. It hasn\u2019t worked out that way at all.<\/p>\n

Like the prosecution witnesses before her, Hicks disparaged Bragg\u2019s planned star witness, Michael Cohen<\/a>, Trump\u2019s one-time personal lawyer.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

“He used to like to call himself Mr. Fix-It, but it was only because he first broke it.”\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Ouch!\u00a0 But that denigrating remark is tame compared to the other derisive comments that have been leveled thus far at the insufferable Cohen, who is a convicted liar who went to prison. \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It was foolhardy for Bragg\u2019s legal team to call Hicks.\u00a0A rank amateurish mistake.\u00a0Her testimony was redundant and unnecessary.\u00a0But under the theory that no dead horse will be left unbeaten, prosecutors seemed determined to have her tell the jury what they already knew.<\/b><\/p>\n

Perhaps we can charge the New York District Attorney\u2019s office with cruelty to deceased virtual animals. That has the same validity as the case this politically motivated moron has brought against the Greatest President of the 21st<\/sup> Century, Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Hicks confirmed that Trump was aware that Cohen paid off Daniels to end what can fairly be described as aggressive blackmail demands.\u00a0When the election drew near, Daniels ratcheted up her greedy scheme to profit from Trump by threatening to go public about a supposed affair, which he denied.\u00a0 Not incidentally, she renounced the purported tryst.\u00a0Then, in a head-spinning maneuver, she recanted her repudiation.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

That case from early in Trump\u2019s presidency eventually ended up with Daniel\u2019s lawyer, Michael Avenatti, going to prison for stealing money from clients, among other things. As I recall, and it\u2019s been a few years since all this happened, (And I\u2019m to lazy to look it all up again), Daniels ended up having to pay President Trump.<\/p>\n

The payment to Daniels, regardless of its intent, proved to be a waste of money.\u00a0While the National Enquirer never published her story, Hicks testified that other news outlets did so in advance of the election.\u00a0 In the end, it didn\u2019t seem to matter much to voters who were more invested in policy ideas rather than personal issues.\u00a0The unlikeable Hillary Clinton<\/a> was also a factor.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Calling Felonia von Pantsuit unlikable is like calling raw sewage in your kitchen unpleasant. Why the prosecution keeps bring that whole thing up isn\u2019t making a lot of sense. Everyone already knew about it. Trump doesn\u2019t deny the payments. He said he was following his lawyer\u2019s advice and he, (Michael Cohen), handled everything.<\/p>\n

Bragg should turn himself in to authorities for impersonating an honest lawyer.\u00a0To fulfill his campaign promise to nail Trump, the D.A. has manipulated the law and mangled evidence to engineer a wrongful conviction.\u00a0He targeted Trump in a textbook case of selective prosecution.\u00a0This is an affront to the principles of fairness and equal justice. <\/b><\/p>\n

The Democrats don\u2019t care. The only goal has been to \u201cGet Trump!\u201d The corrupt judge handling this case, Juan Merchan, has been a willing accomplice in this and has been committing one reversible error after the other. His recent threat to jail President Trump for using his 1st<\/sup> Amendment rights is one such incident.<\/p>\n

There is no way the Secret Service will allow this, and if Merchan issued such an order, it\u2019s not beyond the realm of possibility that the agents would draw their weapons on the deputies in the courtroom. If President Trump were put into jail it would probably be in Rikers Island and President Trump would no doubt be attacked within hours and probably murdered. Bragg, Merchan, and all the Democrats may want this, but, as usual, they aren\u2019t thinking about what the repercussions would be.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

If polling data is correct, Americans are offended by this big top spectacle.\u00a0They resent seeing the leading candidate for president taken off the campaign trail and tied up in court by a partisan enemy.\u00a0Bragg\u2019s legally anemic case only accentuates the injustice. <\/b><\/p>\n

There is no mistaking the boomerang effect here.\u00a0Voters see this for precisely what it is: a pathetically weak case designed to damage Trump politically to the benefit of President Joe Biden\u2019s reelection chances<\/a>.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

Without question, that is the goal. The problem for the Democrats is that it\u2019s not working. In fact, it\u2019s having the opposite affect. The Democrats have been after President Trump since November 9th<\/sup>, 2016. They cooked up a fake dossier, two fake impeachments, a stolen election and now they\u2019re trying to railroad President Trump into prison. People have had it and they aren\u2019t going to put up with it for much longer. If the Prosecution\u2019s own witnesses are sinking their case, what will happen when President Trump\u2019s defense team gets to work? This isn\u2019t going to end well for Bragg or the Democrats.<\/p>\n
