Good day all. I think a little break from politics may be in order. Ever since Alec Baldwin, who couldn\u2019t be bothered to follow basic firearm safety protocols, blew away Halyna Hutchins, he has been trying to wriggle out from under the sweet meteor of judicial doom coming straight at him.<\/p>\n

After the conviction and sentencing of the armorer\/prop handler on the set, Baldwin has been doing what good Progressive Liberals always do, Denying it was his fault and blaming the gun and\/or everyone else. Now the court has just issued a ruling that clears the way for Baldwin\u2019s trial. Here are the details from Newsmax<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

A New Mexico judge has rejected a request by Alec Baldwin to dismiss the sole criminal charge against him in a fatal shooting on the set of \u201cRust,\u201d keeping the case on track for a trial this summer. <\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer on Friday upheld an indictment charging Baldwin with one count of involuntary manslaughter in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in 2021. The judge rejected defense arguments that prosecutors flouted the rules of grand jury proceedings to divert attention away from exculpatory evidence and witnesses. <\/b><\/p>\n

What exculpatory evidence? The gun had a live round in it. Baldwin didn\u2019t do a basic safety check to verify it wasn\u2019t loaded, he pointed it right at Ms. Hutchins, and the idiot cocked the hammer and pulled the trigger. If that idiot had followed ANY of the basic safety rules, Ms. Hutchins would be alive today.<\/p>\n

Special prosecutors have denied the accusations and said Baldwin made \u201cshameless\u201d attempts to escape culpability, highlighting contradictions in his statements to law enforcement, to workplace safety regulators and in a televised interview. <\/b><\/p>\n

Baldwin is a Liberal. Worse, he\u2019s a Hollywood Liberal. Reality is not something any of them have a firm, or any really, grasp on.<\/p>\n

Friday\u2019s decision removes one of the last hurdles for prosecutors to put Baldwin on trial in July. <\/b><\/p>\n

The evidence is overwhelming in this case against Baldwin. Anyone who handles firearms knows that if you are holding the gun, you need to handle it in a safe manner.<\/p>\n

Baldwin has pleaded not guilty to the involuntary manslaughter charge, which carries a maximum sentence of 1.5 years in prison.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And that isn\u2019t long enough in my opinion. Hannah Gutierrez-Reed is doing 18 months right now for her part in this. (I didn\u2019t follow her trial, but I don\u2019t recall her actually handling the pistol that had the live round in it, and it has never been determined how live ammunition ended up on the set. However, I may have missed something) I can\u2019t see the actual \u201cTriggerman\u201d getting off. Baldwin is guilty and needs to serve every single day of his sentence in a nice small cell.<\/p>\n
