Putting those two together and you have one of the more worrying plans currently underway. George Soros is in the process of taking over a nationwide radio network and is looking to the Democrat controlled Federal Communications Commission to ease his way into censoring America. Here are some of the details from the New York Post<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n Left-leaning billionaire George Soros is trying to recruit the Democrat-controlled Federal Communications Commission to help fast track his takeover of the nation\u2019s second-biggest radio network. <\/b><\/p>\n I would make a small correction here. Soros isn\u2019t so much left leaning as royalist. He thinks he should be emperor of the Planet Earth and that the people of the planet are nothing more then serfs.<\/p>\n Soros, 93, pumped $400 million into Audacy in February<\/a>, a network which reaches 165 million monthly listeners and includes a handful of conservative shows from hosts including Sean Hannity, Dana Loesch, Mark Levin, Glenn Beck and Erick Erickson. <\/b><\/p>\n But their influence is likely to be muted if the billionaire takes over and imposes his agenda, as has happened with other media acquisitions. \u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n Muted? More like flat out shut down.<\/p>\n A source with knowledge of the deal told The Post: \u201cThe idea that George Soros is buying hundreds of local radio stations right before a national election and will keep broadcasting Sean Hannity and other conservative talk radio hosts on Audacy is not credible.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n Under existing FCC rules, foreign company ownership of US radio stations is not allowed to exceed 25% \u2014 but a filing acquired by The Post details Soros\u2019 asking the commission to make an exception. <\/b><\/p>\n I wasn\u2019t aware that Soros was using one of his overseas companies. I know that slug is a naturalized American citizen. Rupert Murdoch became a Citizen so that he could build his print and telecommunications empire in the United States, (Fox for instance)<\/p>\n FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr is raising an alarm\u00a0that was first set off by Texas Congressman Chip Roy (R-Texas) in April<\/a>. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThe FCC should not create a special Soros shortcut,\u201d Carr told The Post this week. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cWhen it comes to a broadcast station acquisition of this size and magnitude \u2013 hundreds of radio stations across more than 45 markets \u2013 the FCC needs to run its full and normal review process.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThe FCC should not be skipping steps or waiving required agency processes.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n I think the \u201cFix\u201d is already in and that the FCC is just going through the motions.<\/p>\n Roy had earlier written<\/a> the Soros group would usually petition to get its foreign funding sources vetted by the FCC first, but that they are trying to waive that process and put it off \u201cuntil sometime down the road \u2014 indicating that those foreign stakeholders will be given \u2018special warrants\u2019 in the meantime,\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>Roy wrote in late April.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n According the NY Post story, Soros has been making significant moves into American radio, and it appears he\u2019s been going after primarily conservative stations such as Univision. As for Audacy, it looks like they are in bankruptcy proceedings.<\/p>\n Sources told The Post Soros\u2019s stake is equal to about 40% of the company\u2019s senior debt \u2014 a massive chunk which, although not a majority, could yield effective control of the media giant when it emerges from bankruptcy. <\/b><\/p>\n Which I expect is exactly what he wants. The rumors are he wants to shut down any conservative commentators who will dump on the serial pants loader, Joe Biden. He\u2019s done this before.<\/p>\n In June 2022, the Soros-backed\u00a0Latino Media Network<\/a>\u00a0bought Mamb\u00ed \u2014 a mainstay of Miami\u2019s hardline anti-Communist Cuban exile community for decades \u2014 and 17 other Spanish-language radio stations from TelevisaUnivision in an estimated $60 million deal. <\/b><\/p>\n The newly-formed network was run by two former Democratic operatives, Stephanie Valencia and Jess Morales Rocketto, who worked on Barack Obama\u2019s and Hillary Clinton\u2019s political campaigns. Valencia also worked in the Obama White House. <\/b><\/p>\n And it looks like the first thing those two did was call off all the conservative content.<\/p>\n Venezuelan-born former Radio Mamb\u00ed host Lourdes Ubieta quit the station after she learned of the takeover that summer. <\/b><\/p>\n She\u2019s now hosting a show on Audacy, and obviously can\u2019t comment on it. Probably both NDA\u2019s and just general ethics, something Progressives sorely lack.<\/p>\n Ubieta cannot comment on her current job but told The Post the Latin Media Network, which did not respond to The Post\u2019s request for comment, essentially neutralized Radio Mambi by shutting down all the political content at the station. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThey kept the name Radio Mambi but they made it all soft shows like sports and entertainment,\u201d Ubieta told The Post. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cEverything was hard-core anti-Communism politics on Radio Mambi before. That\u2019s all gone now.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n This is something that all \u201cGood\u201d Communist revolutionaries do. They go after the radio stations. I have little doubt that Ms. Ubieta will be moving on shortly after Soros gets his grubby hooks on Audacy.<\/p>\n There is a method to all this. After the Fairness Doctrine was rightfully tossed on the ash heap of history, conservative talk radio exploded and blow a gaping hole in the Left\u2019s total domination of the media. The biggest name was the late Rush Limbaugh. The Progressives hated him as much, if not more then they do President Trump. They all but started dancing in the streets when he passed away a few years ago.<\/p>\n Shutting down any conservative or non-progressive speech has been the goal of the Democrats for decades. Now they are about to hand the \u201cKeys to the Kingdom,\u201d so to speak, to someone who has actively worked for the collapse of the United States and Western civilization for most of his adult life.
