Good day all. With all the screw ups by the Secret Service and DHS regarding the attempted assassination of the Greatest President of the 21st<\/sup> Century, Donald Trump, it looks like the House of Representatives is going to put together a formal commission to look into things.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

With the various oversight committees, this does make some sense. They want to centralize things and not end up stepping on each other\u2019s political feet. Speaker of the House Johnson is looking to fill the slots with people from both sides of the aisle. This is where things are getting \u201ciffy.\u201d Here are some of the details from the Federalist<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

House Democrats are pushing to have the former Jan. 6 Committee chairman who sought to strip<\/a> former President Donald Trump of his security detail earlier this year serve on a bipartisan commission investigating the recent assassination attempt.<\/b><\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Punchbowl News reported<\/a> that former Jan. 6 Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., is one top candidate Democrats are considering for an appointment to the 11-person panel established by House leadership. <\/b><\/p>\n

Bernie Thompson should be in jail or at least expelled from the House of Representatives. His actions on the January 6th<\/sup> Committee were borderline criminal. He also wanted to strip President Trump\u2019s Secret Service protection, (Such as it is), from him. Basically, he wanted to get President Trump killed. He shouldn\u2019t be on the commission, he should be testifying in front of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cHouse Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries can choose five Democrats to serve along with six Republicans,\u201d Punchbowl reported. \u201cDemocrats are still sorting through potential candidates. But one name we\u2019ve heard is Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.). Thompson is the top Democrat on the House Homeland Security panel and chaired the Jan. 6 Committee.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

As I mentioned above, Thompson should be the last person Jeffries submits to Speaker Johnson for the reasons I mentioned. If Jeffries does submit his name, it will show he is not serious about determining what happened with the Secret Service and working to fix the issues.<\/p>\n

Punchbowl News not only omitted Thompson\u2019s efforts to remove Trump\u2019s security detail, but the outlet also said nothing of the former Jan. 6 Committee chairman\u2019s misconduct on the partisan panel that was weaponized to throw political opponents in jail without proper oversight. <\/b><\/p>\n

I have the Punchbowl article open for reference. I don\u2019t know which side of the political fence they\u2019re on. Left, Right, or actually trying to remain impartial. (Option 3 is the preferred option)<\/p>\n

In March, House lawmakers investigating the Jan. 6 Committee\u2019s conduct reported that Thompson\u2019s probe deleted<\/a> troves of records from the two-year inquisition to cover up additional abuses by the committee. The Federalist had just revealed<\/a> the committee led by Thompson and disgraced Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney concealed testimony from former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato, who told investigators Trump pled for D.C. leadership to accept 10,000 National Guard reinforcements for local police ahead of Jan. 6, 2021. <\/b><\/p>\n

In fact, the Pelosi Kangaroo Committee was a flat out fraud on the Taxpayers. It\u2019s sole purpose was to \u201cGet Trump!\u201d They were found to have lied, concealed exculpatory evidence, manufactured evidence and generally showed just how corrupt the Democrats and the Deep State Uniparty RINO\u2019s are. This cost Lizard Cheney her seat when she suffered one of the worst, if not the worst drubbing in a primary in history.<\/p>\n

This is the person Hakeem Jeffries is considering for the commission. If he actually does nominate him, this will show that the Democrats really don\u2019t care to fix the problems with the Secret Service. I suspect that Speaker of the House Johnson, who I am having issues with, will refuse the nomination and tell Jeffries to submit someone who isn\u2019t a corrupt liar who should be facing a long prison term.<\/p>\n
