This was supposed to \u201cGet the economy going\u201d and provide \u201cAssistance\u201d to businesses destroyed by the utter stupidity of the politicians on both sides of the aisle.<\/p>\n

A lot of that money went to FEMA. Recently, we had a major disaster, known as Hurricane Helene that destroyed sections of North Carolina and other states. The response by FEMA was flat out incompetence and DEI stupidity.<\/p>\n
The final straw was the head of the Department of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas announcing that FEMA is running out of money. This led the Republicans in congress to start looking into FEMA\u2019s accounts. They found that FEMA was still spending money on Covid-19, and now they want to know why. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n A top Republican lawmaker sent a scathing letter demanding several facts and figures from FEMA administrator Deanne Criswell after discovering nearly half of a recent congressional appropriation for disaster relief was spent on non-hurricane-related interests. <\/b><\/p>\n Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, said that FEMA lifted its August restrictions on immediate needs funding (INF) on Oct. 1 \u2013 right after Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida<\/a>. <\/b><\/p>\n Well, that would make sense I think.<\/p>\n While recently-criticized FEMA funds used for migrant issues is formally partitioned from disaster relief (DRF), Roy said COVID-19 response-related funding falls in the disaster relief pot. <\/b><\/p>\n “The American people have legitimate concerns regarding the availability of FEMA funding to respond to these hurricanes and future events in the near term,” wrote Roy, who sits on the House Budget Committee. <\/b><\/p>\n “FEMA is rapidly spending billions out of the Disaster Relief Fund (DRF) on non-immediate needs, including billions in unnecessary funding for COVID-19, which threatens to deplete the fund despite there being nearly two months left in hurricane season,” he added. <\/b><\/p>\n One of the problems we have been seeing with the epic incompetence of the Biden-Harris maladministration is misappropriation of funds. They have been, probably illegally, diverting funds to things congress never authorized, like welfare for illegal aliens instead of plane tickets out of the United States.<\/p>\n He, Rep. Roy, questioned the “sheer amount” of funding going to COVID-19 relief nearly two years after the official coronavirus “emergency” ended. <\/b><\/p>\n $1.2 billion has gone to the state of California alone, and nearly half of DRF funding initially delayed due to INF restrictions went to COVID-19 projects, according to a FEMA document obtained by Roy. <\/b><\/p>\n If you have been following the news, what little is actually reported by the Democrat Propaganda Corps, you will see that a lot of that \u201cRelief\u201d money has flat out disappeared. The amount of fraud, and the complete lack of interest by the Biden-Harris maladministration or the Democrat Party is criminal.<\/p>\n Roy went on to demand Criswell answer as soon as possible as to why FEMA lifted INF restrictions as images of devastation in the Smokies were very much public. <\/b><\/p>\n Ok, I don\u2019t really understand this INF restriction stuff. I would have assumed that since it stands for Immediate Needs Funding, that it was meant to clear the way to get fund to those in need in the disaster areas. I have a suspicion that there was something else going on with that money rather than dealing with the hurricanes.<\/p>\n He also asked for specific figures for appropriations for COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 projects, as well as appropriations for Helene and Milton recovery efforts. <\/b><\/p>\n “Please explain how FEMA will ensure that COVID-19 projects do not continue to jeopardize FEMA\u2019s ability to use the DRF in the future to respond to disasters, absent a massive increase in congressional appropriations,” he added, floating the idea that Congress could ban DRF funds from going to COVID-19 projects any longer. <\/b><\/p>\n “If we are going to appropriate dollars for disaster relief, both FEMA and Congress should ensure the DRF prioritizes individuals impacted by disasters . . .” he said. <\/b><\/p>\n Gee, you think? I thought that was how it was all set up in the first place. As I understand it, and I may be mistaken, FEMA is one bureaucracy that can keep any leftover funds and roll them over into the next fiscal year without penalty. The thinking is that they can use that asap and not have to wait for Congress to appropriate more money for the agency in an emergency.<\/p>\n Apparently, FEMA under the instructions of Biden, Harris and Mayorkas, was using the money set aside for disasters and wasting it on illegal aliens and kickbacks to their cronies as \u201cCovid Relief.\u201d FEMA has not been covering itself in glory since it\u2019s inception. The recent mess with Hurricane Helene and the stupefying incompetence of FEMA, especially with the news that they were basing their decisions on who got help using DEI criteria is crying out for Congressional action.<\/p>\n Frankly, it may be time to just disband the agency entirely and set up an office with the Military handling things. They live for logistics and when it comes to getting things done, once they have their instructions, just stand back and watch them work. Of course, that was before Obama and Biden came in and trashed the officer corps.<\/p>\n As for Mayorkas? He better hope that Biden remembers to give him a full pardon before he leaves office. If any of the Biden-Harris cabinet secretaries deserve to be criminally investigated, and potentially indicted, it\u2019s Alejandro Mayorkas.
