Iran has been causing trouble since 1979, and has been working on enriching uranium for at least the last 15 years. Israel has been so concerned over the potential Iranian nuclear bomb that they have made certain scientists unalive. At one point, a combined group designed, built and deployed a virus that caused the controllers on the centrifuges to basically self destruct. This was the Stuxnet worm.<\/p>\n
Then we stupidly elected Barack Obama and he couldn\u2019t wait to kiss the ass of the Iranian Mullahs. That jerk literally sent billions in cash to Iran and ran interference between Israel and Iran. Then America replaced him with the Greatest President of the 21st<\/sup> Century, Donald Trump and he hit Iran where it hurts. In the wallet. After the tainted Election of 2020 and the installation of the Worst president* in American History, Joe Biden and he decided, (or was told), to continue the Iran ass kissing.<\/p>\n While all this has been going on, Iran has been working on their nuclear program. While Israel and any number of others think that Iran might actually be close to building a device, the Government doesn\u2019t see any indication that this is actually happening. Here are the details from Newsmax<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n The United States still believes that Iran has not decided to build a nuclear weapon despite Tehran’s recent strategic setbacks, including Israel’s killing of Hezbollah leaders and two largely unsuccessful attempts to attack Israel, two U.S. officials told Reuters. <\/b><\/p>\n The comments from a senior Biden administration official and a spokesperson for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence added to public remarks earlier this week by CIA Director William Burns, who said the United States had not seen any evidence Iran’s leader had reversed his 2003 decision to suspend the weaponization program. <\/b><\/p>\n “We assess that the Supreme Leader has not made a decision to resume the nuclear weapons program that Iran suspended in 2003,” said the ODNI spokesperson, referring to Iran’s leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. <\/b><\/p>\n I have absolutely no confidence in the CIA in generating actual intelligence. Their track record for missing major events is near perfect. For starters, they completely missed the fall of the Soviet Union. Then there was 9\/11 and if they had been around at the time, the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. These morons would probably be shocked if an Iranian mushroom cloud sprouted over New York.<\/p>\n The intelligence assessment could help explain U.S. opposition to any Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear program in retaliation for a ballistic missile attack that Tehran carried out last week. <\/b><\/p>\n No, the real reason is that the Deep State hates Israel and has no problem with Iran\u2019s backing of terrorism. The CIA is fully Deep State and has been almost since it\u2019s inception.<\/p>\n President Joe Biden said after that attack he would not support an Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear sites, but did not explain why he had reached that conclusion. <\/b><\/p>\n Allow me to explain. He was instructed to block Israel as much as possible on instructions from Iran\u2019s best asset, Barack Obama.<\/p>\n U.S. officials have long acknowledged that an attempt to destroy Iran’s nuclear weapons program might only delay the country’s efforts to develop a nuclear bomb and could even strengthen Tehran’s resolve to do so. <\/b><\/p>\n “We’re all watching this space very carefully,” the Biden administration official said. <\/b><\/p>\n Beth Sanner, a former U.S deputy director of national intelligence, said the risk of Khamenei reversing his 2003 religious dictum against nuclear weapons is “higher now than it has been” and that if Israel were to strike nuclear facilities Tehran would likely move ahead with building a nuclear weapon. <\/b><\/p>\n You are assuming that his 2003 dictum was actually real and not just a story to fool certain people who think they\u2019re smarter then everyone else.<\/p>\n Iran is now enriching uranium to up to 60% fissile purity, close to the 90% of weapons grade, at two sites, and in theory it has enough material enriched to that level, if enriched further, for almost four bombs, according to a yardstick of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the U.N. watchdog. <\/b><\/p>\n If Iran wasn\u2019t working to build a nuclear weapon, there would be no reason to enrich uranium to weapons grade levels.<\/p>\n The expansion in Iran’s enrichment program has reduced the so-called breakout time it would need to produce enough weapons-grade uranium for a nuclear bomb to “a week or a little more,” according to Burns, from more than a year under a 2015 accord that Trump pulled out of when president. <\/b><\/p>\n Actually making a bomb with that material would take longer. How long is less clear and the subject of debate. <\/b><\/p>\n This isn\u2019t the Manhattan Project where thousands of scientists and engineers worked to literally invent atomic weapons. The knowledge on how to do this is out there. The Iranians also have access to tooling that literally didn\u2019t exist in 1944. There is also little doubt that if Iran gets the bomb they will use it. They have two primary targets, Israel and the United States.<\/p>\n The United States has been privately urging Israel to calibrate its response to avoid triggering a broader war in the Middle East, officials say, with Biden publicly voicing his opposition to a nuclear attack and concerns about a strike on Iran’s energy infrastructure. <\/b><\/p>\n The recent airstrike on Iran pretty much trashed their air defense systems. I understand that one aircraft actually strafed one of the targets, not just bombed it. That was basically a middle finger to Iran. Strike aircraft don\u2019t like to get that low when they don\u2019t have to. (The A-10 excepted)<\/p>\n Israel, however, views Iran’s nuclear program as an existential threat. <\/b><\/p>\n I have no doubt that Israel has a plan in place if they determine Iran has one or more nuclear weapons, or are in the process of assembling them. I would like to think the United States has some sort of contingency plan, but this story that they don\u2019t actually believe that Iran is working concerns me. Actually it scares the crap out of me that they are that stupid.<\/p>\n I think it\u2019s long past time for the Central Intelligence Agency to undergo a major overhaul in how they generate and process intelligence. For starters, they need to actually start recruiting spies and human assets in other countries. Thanks to the Church Committee, Jimmy Carter and Stansfield Turner, our capabilities have been badly compromised.
