There have been a number of reports on how people like General Mark Milley (ret.) contacted the Communist Chinese saying that they would prevent President Trump from \u201cDoing anything\u201d against the PRC in the closing months of his administration. Then we have the disaster that was the final withdrawal from Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

Hundreds, potentially thousands of Americans were left behind, we had a dozen service members killed because a suicide bomber, who was spotted, wasn\u2019t shot. Why? The sniper was denied permission to take the terrorist out. Finally, billions of dollars in equipment was left behind. Milley, instead of actually standing up to Biden and his minions and telling them their plan was a disaster, aided them in the debacle. Now there is a report that the Trump transition team is compiling a list of current and former officers to determine if they should face court martial. Here are the details from NBC News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n The Trump transition team is compiling a list of senior current and former U.S. military officers who were directly involved in the withdrawal from Afghanistan and exploring whether they could be court-martialed for their involvement, according to a U.S. official and a person familiar with the plan. <\/b><\/p>\n Please note that it looks like NBC is using their usual \u201cAnonymous Sources\u201d again, so take all of this with a few tons of salt. (Fake news and all that)<\/p>\n Officials working on the transition are considering creating a commission to investigate the 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan, including gathering information about who was directly involved in the decision-making for the military, how it was carried out, and whether the military leaders could be eligible for charges as serious as treason, the U.S. official and person with knowledge of the plan said. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re taking it very seriously,\u201d the person with knowledge of the plan said. <\/b><\/p>\n Treason would be extremely difficult to prove, intentionally so. It is the one crime that is specifically listed in the Constitution and requires a great deal of proof. Right off the bat, those charged would have to be actively working with the enemy and I can\u2019t see any officer calling up the Taliban and telling them what the plans were as well as handing over the keys to all the abandoned equipment. This is why I\u2019m saying that this story needs to be carefully vetted.<\/p>\n The Trump transition team did not immediately respond to a request for comment. <\/b><\/p>\n I suspect they were caught off guard. Not because this leaked out, but more then likely it\u2019s either untrue or not even close to what is actually going on. I don\u2019t doubt for one minute that the Trump Team is looking into what happened and who let that screwed up disaster occur in the first place. (In the end, it is all Biden\u2019s fault)<\/p>\n Matt Flynn, a former deputy assistant secretary of defense for counternarcotics and global threats, is helping lead the effort, the sources said. It is being framed as a review of how the U.S. first got into the war in Afghanistan and how the U.S. ultimately withdrew. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cMatt Flynn has nothing to do with the Trump transition team, much less leading any review concerning military justice matters,\u201d said Mark S. Zaid, Flynn\u2019s attorney. In a statement Zaid said that \u201cno one has sought out Mr. Flynn\u2019s views on this hypothetical legal scenario.\u201d\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n And there is another nail in the coffin of this NBC News story. Since NBC used their usual \u201cAnonymous Sources close to the Transition team,\u201d and no named sources, it\u2019s looking more and more like they are making this whole thing up. That Mr. Flynn has stated that he is NOT working with the Trump transition team further indicates that this is fake news by your typical Journalism School graduate.<\/p>\n NBC News did reach out to multiple officials on the Trump transition team about this story.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n It looks like someone responded and blasted the idiots cooking up this story.<\/p>\n \u201cThe sources apparently pushing this story appear to be your typical selfish Washington, D.C. insiders seeking to gain better positioning for their own administration jobs,\u201d said an individual with knowledge of the campaign.<\/strong><\/p>\n President-elect Donald Trump has condemned<\/a> the withdrawal as a \u201chumiliation\u201d and \u201cthe most embarrassing day in the history of our country.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n That isn\u2019t any secret. What Biden and the Democrats did, with the complicity of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has gone down in history as one of the worst withdrawals since the Fall of Saigon.<\/p>\n It is not clear, though, what would legally justify \u201ctreason\u201d charges since the military officers were following the orders of President Joe Biden to withdraw all U.S. forces from Afghanistan. <\/b><\/p>\n And that is yet another reason that this \u201cStory\u201d needs to be vetted. Treason is a very specific charge, and the last person who might have been charged would have been Johnny Walker Lindh<\/a>. As for the charge itself, here is what the law actually says<\/a>:<\/p>\n 18 U.S. Code \u00a7 2381 – Treason <\/b><\/p>\n Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States. <\/b><\/p>\n While there was incompetence and possibly cowardice on the part of senior officers, (Cowardice in the sense of protecting their pensions and future job prospects after leaving the military), I don\u2019t see what they did as treasonous under American law or the Constitution. There may be other legal actions that could be taken, but that requires an actual investigation, and it looks like what NBC News is claiming, isn\u2019t happening.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
