There have been some countries that have sent a large number of criminals into the United States and are balking at letting American planes loaded with illegals from landing. Yesterday, (Sunday January 26th<\/sup>), Colombia refused to allow the planes to land.<\/p>\n

President Trump was playing golf when he was informed. His response? He paused on the 3rd<\/sup> Hole and ordered a massive hike in tariffs and other sanctions on Colombia, including canceling any visas issued to Colombian nationals trying to enter the United States legally. The result? The President of Colombia caved in by the time President Trump reached the 8th<\/sup> Hole. Here are a few details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Colombian President Gustavo Petro swiftly backtracked on his refusal to accept deportation flights from the United States after President Donald Trump threatened tariffs and other measures.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

The White House confirmed on Sunday that Colombia’s president had caved “to all of President Trump\u2019s terms, including the unrestricted acceptance of all illegal aliens from Colombia returned from the United States, including on U.S. military aircraft, without limitation or delay,”\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

“Based on this agreement, the fully drafted IEEPA tariffs and sanctions will be held in reserve, and not signed, unless Colombia fails to honor<\/a> this agreement,” the statement said. “The visa sanctions issued by the State Department, and enhanced inspections from Customs and Border Protection, will remain in effect until the first planeload of Colombian deportees is successfully returned.” <\/b><\/p>\n

“Today\u2019s events make clear to the world that America is respected again,” the statement added. “President Trump will continue to fiercely protect our nation’s sovereignty, and he expects all other nations of the world to fully cooperate in accepting the deportation of their citizens illegally present in the United States.” <\/b><\/p>\n
