Good day all. Thursday, February 27th<\/sup>, Attorney General Pam Bondi, on instructions from President Trump, released what she though were the complete Epstein files. However, late Wednesday, (February 26th<\/sup>), night AG Bondi found out that the New York FBI office had not sent in thousands of documents as instructed.<\/p>\n

To say that Pam Bondi was pissed would be a bit of an understatement. When she found out, apparently from a whistleblower in the NYC FBI office, that the office had deliberately withheld documents and files, she called the new Director of the FBI, Kash Patel. Patel was apparently surprised to hear this, and he\u2019s also not amused by the actions of that office. (Some background. Bondi\u2019s order was issued prior to Kash Patel\u2019s confirmation and swearing in as the new FBI director) Bondi has written a letter to Patel demanding the files and to determine why they were not provided and how he will deal with those responsible. Here are some of the details from Newsmax<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Attorney General Pam Bondi demanded Thursday that the FBI turn over thousands of pages of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender who died by suicide in federal custody in 2019. <\/b><\/p>\n

In a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel, Bondi wrote that she told Patel before his Senate confirmation she wanted all the files related to Epstein, who often socialized with celebrities, royalty, and other powerful individuals, including on a private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands. <\/b><\/p>\n

At that time, Kash Patel had no authority over the FBI. He was still going through the confirmation process. From what I understand, Kash Patel was fully on board with releasing the information. He was caught by surprise as much as Pam Bondi by the antics of the NYC office. I doubt he\u2019s very happy with this.<\/p>\n

Bondi wrote that after she talked with Patel, she received 200 pages that contained flight logs, a list of Epstein contacts, and a list of victims’ names and phone numbers. Also Thursday, the Department of Justice announced<\/a> the first phase in the release of Epstein documents that had been leaked but not formally distributed by the government, including flight logs and Epstein’s personal address book. <\/b><\/p>\n

I believe that was what was released. One of the reasons, besides the blatant disregard by the New York FBI office of Attorney General Bondi\u2019s instructions, that there has been a delay was that Bondi wanted to make sure that no information belonging to the victims of Epstein\u2019s crimes was released.<\/p>\n

But Bondi wrote that a source told her the FBI field office in New York possessed thousands of pages of documents related to the investigation and indictment of Epstein. <\/b><\/p>\n

That was, apparently, late Wednesday night. By then, the release of what AG Bondi had was already scheduled and she really couldn\u2019t cancel it. Personally, I think she should have with the announcement, after conferring with President Trump, Director Patel and Congress, that she had just found out that additional documents had been withheld and she was dealing with that mess.<\/p>\n

Bondi wrote that despite her repeated requests, she was never notified about files held by the New York field office. <\/b><\/p>\n

“When you and I spoke yesterday, you were just as surprised as I was to learn this new information,” she wrote to Patel. “By 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, February 28, the FBI will deliver the full and complete Epstein files to my office, including all records, documents, audio and video recordings, and materials related to Jeffrey Epstein and his clients, regardless of how such information was obtained. <\/b><\/p>\n

“There will be no withholdings of limitations to my or your access. The Department of Justice will ensure that any public disclosure of these files will be done in a matter to protect the privacy of victims and in accordance with the law, as I have done my entire professional career.” <\/b><\/p>\n

“I appreciate your immediate attention to this important matter,” Bondi wrote. “I know that we are both committed to transparency for the American people, and I look forward to continuing to work with you to serve our President and our country.” <\/b><\/p>\n

It looks like the New York office of the FBI is going to find out what happens when they fuck around with the new Trump administration and his team. Pam Bondi is not Sleepy Session or Bob Barr. Kash Patel is not Christopher Wray. Whoever decided to withhold those records is going to be luck if all that happens is being fired.<\/p>\n

The worst case scenario for the NY FBI will be Attorney General Bondi and Director Patel showing up with a few dozen U.S. Marshals and a large supply of handcuffs. It\u2019s actions like this that are making more and more members of Congress think that reforming the FBI is no possible and the only solution is formal disbandment and termination of 90+ percent of the agents. (The ones not fired would be pulled into a new agency or put under the Marshals) We shall see what happens next.<\/p>\n
