Good day all. Not many people realize that when President Trump activated the Department of Government Efficiency, he didn\u2019t just create a new department. He repurposed one that already existed, the United States Digital Service and renamed it the Department of Government Efficiency.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

This change hasn\u2019t made the original staffers happy. In fact, they are so unhappy, a number of them flat out quit. Here are the details from Breitbart<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Twenty-one civil service employees have resigned from billionaire Trump adviser Elon Musk\u2019s Department of Government Efficiency, saying they\u2019re refusing to use their technical expertise to \u201cdismantle critical public services.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWe swore to serve the American people and uphold our oath to the Constitution across presidential administrations,\u201d the 21 staffers wrote in a joint resignation letter, a copy of which was obtained by The Associated Press. \u201cHowever, it has become clear that we can no longer honor those commitments.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

Like you ever were? This department was created by Der Fubar, Barack Obamaa back in 2014 for the purposes of fixing the disaster that was Obamacare and it\u2019s technological back end. According to the Associated (with terrorists) Press<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The Digital Service was created by President Barack Obama<\/a> in 2014 to modernize the government\u2019s approach to technology. Its chief original mission was to fix the many glitches and digital problems<\/a> that plagued the rollout of HealthCare.gov, the site associated with Obama\u2019s signature health care law, which Trump has spent most of his political career bashing<\/a>. <\/b><\/p>\n

It hasn\u2019t been just President Trump who has been trashing Obamacare. Anyone who has any knowledge of it has also trashed it and deservedly so. Like anything the Communists Democrats create, it did exactly the opposite of what they claimed it would do.<\/p>\n

The employees also warned that many of those enlisted by Musk to help him slash the size of the federal government under President Donald Trump\u2019s<\/a> administration were political ideologues who did not have the necessary skills or experience for the task ahead of them. <\/b><\/p>\n

Actually, they do. The people who don\u2019t have the \u201cnecessary skills or experience\u201d and are political ideologues are the clowns who just did America a favor and quit.<\/p>\n

The mass resignation of engineers, data scientists and product managers is a temporary setback for Musk and the Republican president\u2019s tech-driven purge of the federal workforce.<\/a> It comes amid a flurry of court challenges that have sought to stall, stop or unwind their efforts to fire or coerce thousands of government workers<\/a> out of jobs. <\/b><\/p>\n

That setback may not actually be a setback. Frankly, this office under its previous name hasn\u2019t done much of anything. The Information Technology of the United States government is a disaster. Hardly a week goes by that we don\u2019t hear about some hack of a government office or database. I have a suspicion that Musk is discussing the current status of the government\u2019s IT infrastructure with President Trump and J.D. Vance.<\/p>\n

In a statement, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt<\/a> was dismissive of the mass resignation. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cAnyone who thinks protests, lawsuits, and lawfare will deter President Trump must have been sleeping under a rock for the past several years,\u201d Leavitt said. \u201cPresident Trump will not be deterred from delivering on the promises he made to make our federal government more efficient and more accountable to the hardworking American taxpayers.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

It\u2019s so nice to have a competent Press Secretary who can string two sentences together and not lie through her teeth while doing it.<\/p>\n

All had previously held senior roles at such tech companies as Google and Amazon and wrote in their resignation letter that they joined the government out of a sense of duty to public service. <\/b><\/p>\n

Considering how Google has been caught repeatedly moving to suppress the 1st<\/sup> Amendment rights of people in general and Conservatives in particular, I think that a full review of what these people have been doing for the last few years may be needed.<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s empowerment of Musk upended that. The day after Trump\u2019s inauguration<\/a>, the staffers wrote, they were called into a series of interviews that foreshadowed the secretive and disruptive work of Musk\u2019s\u2019 Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE. <\/b><\/p>\n

Secretive? President Trump and Elon Musk have been pretty open about what they were going to and then proceeding to do it. On the part about being disruptive? Oh Hell yes! That was why President Trump was reelected and why Elon Musk and his team were brought on board. What part of the previous election did you not understand?<\/p>\n

According to the staffers, people wearing White House visitors\u2019 badges, some of whom would not give their names, grilled the nonpartisan employees about their qualifications and politics. Some made statements that indicated they had a limited technical understanding. Many were young and seemed guided by ideology<\/a> and fandom of Musk \u2014 not improving government technology. <\/b><\/p>\n

Their job wasn\u2019t to improve technology. Their job is to rip the living guts out of the Deep State and the bureaucracy. The upgrades to the tech is something that another group will do.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, about 40 staffers in the office were laid off. The firings dealt a devastating blow to the government\u2019s ability to administer and safeguard its own technological footprint, they wrote. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThese highly skilled civil servants were working to modernize Social Security, veterans\u2019 services, tax filing, health care, disaster relief, student aid, and other critical services,\u201d the resignation letter states. \u201cTheir removal endangers millions of Americans who rely on these services every day. The sudden loss of their technology expertise makes critical systems and American\u2019s data less safe.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

I suspect these clowns were on the RIF lists as well. They also have the usual \u201cI\u2019m to important\u201d attitude of most bureaucrats. As for all those systems? They all have one thing in common. They\u2019ve been hacked almost as badly as Felonia von Pantsuit\u2019s bathroom mail server. It\u2019s obvious that they never had any project plan to overhaul the tech infrastructure of the United States government.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will not use our skills as technologists to compromise core government systems, jeopardize Americans\u2019 sensitive data, or dismantle critical public services,\u201d they wrote. \u201cWe will not lend our expertise to carry out or legitimize DOGE\u2019s actions.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

And the response from most Americans?<\/p>\n
