As you can imagine, it was quickly added to the Drug Cartel\u2019s \u201cProduct line.\u201d They aren\u2019t buying the drug from the manufacturer though. They reverse engineered it and are making it themselves. They then smuggle it across the border the same way they\u2019ve been smuggling their other \u201cproducts,\u201d cocaine, heroin, pills, etc.<\/p>\n
Obviously, law enforcement wants to shut all this down since accidental overdoses are killing and injuring tens of thousands of people each year. In many cases, someone who isn\u2019t an addict and is just \u201cSnorting a line\u201d or \u201cDropping a pill\u201d doesn\u2019t know that there is Fentanyl in the mix. So they take what they would normally consider a \u201cSafe and effective\u201d amount for their little trip. However, the Fentanyl, being so powerful, hits their system and well\u2026<\/p>\n

Now there is a bill in Congress to put Fentanyl on the list of Schedule 1 drugs. According to that tome of incredible internet accuracy, Wikipedia<\/a>, a Schedule 1 drug is:<\/p>\n In the case of Fentanyl, this would be considered a drug with a high potential for abuse. I do think it has some medical use in the pain management field and again, according to Wikipedia<\/a>, it is used for that purpose. However, it is one of the most dangerous narcotics out there and in the hands of idiots, morons and even medical professionals not trained in it\u2019s use, shouldn\u2019t be available.<\/p>\n You would think that no one would be against restricting this to the truly needy and punishing those providing it unlawfully. You would be mistaken. It looks like the Progressive Liberal Democrats are opposed to protecting the Americans from drug pushers. Here are the details from the American Wire<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n Democrat lawmakers are under fire for opposing a bipartisan bill that aims to stem the flow of fentanyl smuggled by drug traffickers. <\/b><\/p>\n Of course. George Soros and his spawn are against anything that protects Americans. Why am I not surprised?<\/p>\n Democrats like New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker have echoed these concerns while attempting to delay the bill\u2019s progress through amendments and procedural tactics, Fox News reported. <\/b><\/p>\n Cory Booker, also known as \u201cFarticus\u201d is one of the really stupid members of the Senate. The only people dumber then he is, are the people of New Jersey for putting him in office and reelecting him.<\/p>\n Booker called for extending the temporary scheduling of fentanyl analogs and claimed that the HALT Act will result in \u201charsher penalties for drugs,\u201d Fox reported. <\/b><\/p>\n And the problem with this is what again? We aren\u2019t talking about the users here, we\u2019re talking about people selling this crap. For a long while, drug dealers stayed away from Fentanyl, considering it to dangerous to work with or sell. (Killing your customers is not a great way to generate repeat sales after all)<\/p>\n Democrat Senators Sheldon Whitehouse and Ed Markey, also argued that the HALT Act would slow research on fentanyl analogs and exacerbate mass incarceration among minorities, according to Fox. <\/b><\/p>\n Now why would that be? First, researchers are looking for ways develop pain medications that are not addictive and don\u2019t affect the brain. Whoever comes up with a drug that does this is going to make trillions. As for \u201cMinorities in prison? There is a simple fix for the so called \u201cMinorities.\u201d Don\u2019t sell drugs unless you\u2019re a pharmacist and you are filling a prescription. Problem solved.<\/p>\n Booker cited parents who lost children to fentanyl to make his case, but those same parents are in support of the HALT Act. <\/b><\/p>\n The responses to Farticus are rather lengthy and basically slam him for being what he has always been. An ignorant incompetent who has managed to scam his way up the political ladder.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, President Trump addressed the Fentanyl crisis during his first cabinet meeting, and vowed to hold Canada and Mexico accountable for doing nothing to stop it from entering the U.S. <\/b><\/p>\n Currently, there is the beginnings of a discussion that Congress should consider issuing Letters of Marque and Reprisal<\/a> to private American citizens who can then go after the cartels. They would be considered \u201cPrivateers\u201d who would be able to go after not just the Cartels, but their money as well. Since Mexico is essentially a failed state owned by the Cartels, a Letter of Marque and Reprisal makes sense. Canada is a different kettle of fish and would need to be handled differently.<\/p>\n As for the Democrats coming out in opposition to making Fentanyl a permanent entry on the Schedule 1 list, I have another theory. They do get millions in bribes<\/i><\/span> campaign donations from Big Pharma. I also suspect, although I have no proof, that there are a few members of congress who are being flat out bribed by the Cartels. I\u2019m sure this is just a conspiracy theory after all and there is no chance that any members of congress are on the Cartel\u2019s payroll.<\/p>\n Frankly, I say go ahead and put Fentanyl on the Schedule 1 list. If Big Pharma can find a way to \u201cClean it up\u201d so to speak, so that it isn\u2019t both addictive and something drug addicts use to get high, so much the better.
