One of these is Edward (Ed) Robert Martin. He is currently the interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. For those of you who failed everything in school, but were awarded participation grades, the District of Columbia is Washington, D.C. President Trump has also nominated him for the post to the Senate.<\/p>\n
This has set off a number of a number of former prosecutors who worked to railroad anyone who was in Washington during the January 6th<\/sup> Protests. They are trying to destroy Ed Martin for daring to review \u201cTheir\u201d work. Here are some of the details from the Communist News Network (CNN)<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n Five former prosecutors who worked on criminal cases stemming from the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol are urging the disciplinary office governing lawyers in Washington, DC, to open an investigation into President Donald Trump\u2019s<\/a> controversial pick to be the district\u2019s top prosecutor. <\/b><\/p>\n From what I\u2019ve seen, and granted, it\u2019s not that much, the only thing controversial about Mr. Martin is his reviewing the actions of the thousands of prosecutions and other details involving the J6 defendants. (All of whom have been pardoned) Since it\u2019s unlikely they can stop his confirmation, they are doing the next best thing, (in their minds). They are going to the utterly corrupt Washington DC Bar.<\/p>\n Martin, who has been serving in the post on an interim basis since Trump returned to the White House, is a divisive pick for the job. After stepping into the position, he used his new powers to dismiss January 6 Capitol riot cases, fire prosecutors<\/a> who were involved in the investigations, go after his and Trump\u2019s political adversaries, and launch internal reviews<\/a> in an attempt to find misconduct within the office. <\/b><\/p>\n Note that this story was writing by CNN so fair and balanced is not something they are noted for. There have been any number of stories on the abuse and misconduct over the last four years by the Garland Department of (In)Justice including the attempt to jail President Trump on bogus charges. This is what Martin is looking into.<\/p>\n In a letter filed Sunday with the DC Bar\u2019s Office of Disciplinary Counsel, the former prosecutors outlined those controversial actions, as well as others, saying that Martin violated several professional rules. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cHe has used his brief time in office to demonstrate a fundamental misunderstanding of the role of a federal prosecutor, announcing investigations against his political opponents, aiding defendants he previously represented, and communicating improperly with those he did not,\u201d the group wrote. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThese actions are not worthy of the Department of Justice, undermine the Constitutional guarantee of equal protection of law, and violate Mr. Martin\u2019s professional obligations,\u201d the letter reads. <\/b><\/p>\n In other words, these clowns are in his gun sights and they want the Bar to save their Progressive butts. Frankly, if there is any group that needs to be investigated, it\u2019s these former prosecutors. The actions of federal prosecutors over the last four years, targeting anyone who either supports President Trump or wouldn\u2019t kowtow to the Democrat Party had far to many people thinking that it might be time to pull the guns out of the closet. Thankfully, this didn\u2019t happen.<\/p>\n In addition to the five former prosecutors, the letter was also signed by prominent conservative lawyers from the Society for the Rule of Law, including retired federal Judge J. Michael Luttig, former Rep. Barbara Comstock, attorney George Conway, and Stuart Gerson, a lawyer who held top roles at the Justice Department under Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton. <\/b><\/p>\n I recognize most of these people, especially George Conway. That useless POS is a hardcore never Trumper and helped found the Lincoln Project. All of them are utterly opposed to President Trump and his goals to Make America Great Again.<\/p>\n The letter pointed to a statement from Martin on the DC US attorney\u2019s X account<\/a> earlier this year in which he described himself and his colleagues as \u201cTrump\u2019s lawyers\u201d to argue that he was abusing the power of the Justice Department. The letter said the social media post reinforced Martin\u2019s public statements suggesting he was pursuing investigations into \u201cperceived political enemies of himself and the President.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n The CNN article goes on to list all the things they consider to be bad. Of course, This is CNN so expecting them to do any honest reporting is a forlorn hope. Now on the flip side is an article by Jeff Charles<\/a> of Town Hall<\/a>. He quotes from the CNN article but adds a few things to it. For instance, he quotes from Adam Schiffhead.<\/p>\n Democrats have been busy trying to block Martin\u2019s appointment. Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) told CNN, \u201cI hope the Republicans do their job. This man is unqualified, he\u2019s abused the powers of that office. He\u2019s made the strongest case you can make to be rejected for this position.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n This pencil necked geek should talk. The only reason he hasn\u2019t been indicted yet is the Biden Autopen Pardon he received.<\/p>\n Some Democrats have criticized Martin for his lack of experience as a federal prosecutor or judge. Others took issue with his involvement in the \u201cStop the Steal\u201d movement as one of its organizers. He was present during the riot, which he described as \u201crowdy but nothing out of hand.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n The data that we now have does seem to indicate that Biden and the Democrats did steal the 2020 election and attempted to steal the 2024 election. Of course, the Democrats continue to claim that\u2019s all a conspiracy theory.<\/p>\n Predictably, his decision to dismiss hundreds of J6 likely earned him the lion\u2019s share of the left’s enmity, given their obsession with the riot. Also, his investigations<\/a> into the J6 prosecutors didn\u2019t win him any brownie points with folks on the left. <\/b><\/p>\n Dismissing the charges didn\u2019t matter in the long run since President Trump issued his pardons. Investigating the J6 prosecutors is warranted, in my opinion since so much has come out on how they flat out abused their authority, up to and including threats against family members of people who were in Washington that day. Then there was the outright suppression of exculpatory evidence by the DoJ and J6 prosecutors.<\/p>\n Martin has also come under fire for making incendiary comments<\/a>. He, like many, questioned former Vice President Kamala Harris\u2019 alleged blackness and has been a vocal critic of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices. <\/b><\/p>\n I followed the link and it went to the British newspaper site, the Guardian. They make the old Communist propaganda sheet, Pravda look downright conservative. As to Martin\u2019s being opposed to DEI? So are a majority of Americans once they learn just what it is.<\/p>\n The bottom line is that Martin\u2019s stance on J6 is truly what infuriates the left. Shortly after President Trump was inaugurated, these people saw their most hallowed narrative fall apart as he pardoned those who were railroaded for being present at the Capitol building on that day. <\/b><\/p>\n It sounds like Ed Martin is the Left\u2019s worst nightmare. He is starting to dig into all the activities of the January 6th<\/sup> investigations and prosecutions. If what the anecdotal evidence we\u2019ve seen over the last four years proves to be real, then Martin may just go after those prosecutors.<\/p>\n This is why they are trying to stop him by complaining to the Washington Bar Association. They know they probably can\u2019t stop his confirmation. What they aren\u2019t considering is how this is going to look to the rest of the country, not to mention the Trump Administration. They are going to ask \u201cWhat are these banana heads trying to hide?\u201d<\/p>\n I think we know the answer. It was the Democrats and the Biden\/Garland DoJ tossing out the Constitution and the Rule of Law and instead weaponizing the entire legal system to get anyone the Democrats considered to be their enemies, starting with President Trump.
