Well, the good news is the criminals have been identified and one has been arrested. Surprising no one, both are illegal aliens. Here are the details from the New York Post<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n An illegal immigrant was arrested Saturday for stealing Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem\u2019s pricey Gucci bag containing $3,000 in cash and other personal items \u2013 and a second migrant suspect is still on the loose, according to sources.<\/b><\/p>\n I think the New York Post made a slight error here. It wasn\u2019t a \u201cMigrant\u201d that hasn\u2019t been arrested yet, but another illegal alien. Migrants are people who come to the United States legally.<\/p>\n Noem, 53, was on an Easter outing with her family at The Capital Burger in Washington, DC, when the masked thief stole the luxury shoulder bag<\/a>, which also contained her driver\u2019s license, passport, DHS badge and apartment keys on April 20.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n An aside. I looked up The Capitol Burger and it seems they have several locations, including Boston, Massachusetts. From what I can see, it\u2019s not a Burger King style place, but rather high end. I\u2019m rather surprised an illegal even went in there and that the staff didn\u2019t notice. It appears the security cameras did though.<\/p>\n The suspect,\u00a0whose identity was not immediately available,\u00a0was busted by the DC Metro Police and the Secret Service, sources said. <\/b><\/p>\n Dear Criminal. Are you aware that committing a crime in Washington D.C. is an automatic Federal Offense? Would you care to guess who long you will be a guest of the Federal Prison system before we kick your butt out of the country?<\/p>\n The perp, who is believed to be part of a large east coast robbery crew, is expected to appear in court early next week as law enforcement hunt for his accomplice, sources said. Officials are also looking for a second suspect who is also reportedly an illegal migrant. <\/b><\/p>\n Terrific. Yet another problem caused by the Worst President in American History, Dementia Joe Biden. You know, I wonder what the response to this would be if it were one of these Clinton, Obama or Biden judges who was robbed? They are the ones so hot on protecting illegal aliens after all.<\/p>\n DC US Attorney Ed Martin\u00a0noted it is unlikely Noem was targeted based on her high-profile position.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThere is no indication it was because of that,\u201d\u00a0Martin\u00a0told NBC News.<\/a> <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cIt was frankly, it was a nice looking purse. This was not an amateur. This was a person, a thief, that knew how to do this. You could see how he scouted the room out.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n I tend to agree with this. If that thug knew he was about to steal the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security\u2019s handbag, I suspect he would have given it a pass and ordered takeout instead.<\/p>\n Security footage captured a white man in a N95 surgical mask, dark pants, a \u201cfur-type\u201d collar and a ball cap lift the DHS honcho\u2019s bag before leaving the restaurant located about a mile from the White House.\u00a0The suspect glanced around the restaurant before grabbing Noem\u2019s bag, covering it with his jacket and then hustling out of the restaurant, according to sources who described the video. <\/b><\/p>\n Apparently, Ms. Noem did feel the purse being snagged but thought it was one of her grandchildren playing around.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was kind of shocking, actually, because it was sitting right by my feet. I actually felt my purse \u2014\u00a0he hooked with his foot<\/a>\u00a0and drug it a few steps away and dropped a coat over it and took it,\u201d Noem, who oversees the Secret Service, US Customs and Border Protection and the Coast Guard,\u00a0recounted to podcaster<\/a>\u00a0Vince Coglianese.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cI thought it was my grandkids kicking me in the legs, but it was very professionally done,\u201d she added on the \u201cVince\u201d podcast.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cIt tells me that this happens all the time to people, and that they live in communities where this is a danger and it reaffirms why I\u2019m here.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n By this, Secretary Noem means rounding up these criminals and booting them out of the United States as fast as possible. Also, as a Cabinet Secretary, Ms. Noem is also entitled to protection by the Secret Service. According to the NY Post, it isn\u2019t clear if they were in the restaurant or not. I suspect that even if they were, they might have missed the theft. It\u2019s not what they are looking for. They\u2019re looking for potential threats to their protectee.<\/p>\n Martin assured the alleged robbers will never step foot in the country again now that US Immigration and Customs Enforcement is involved in the case.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cPresident Trump\u2019s direction to us is we charge these folks that are here illegally and we prosecute them, as well as deport them when need be, you know, as soon as that can happen,\u201d he told NBC.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cWhat I can tell you is he won\u2019t be back on the streets of America.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n I bet that criminal alien is kicking himself. I have no doubt that the money is long gone, but you have to know that these idiots would have checked the ID and probably looked up the name online if they didn\u2019t recognize who Kristi Noem is. Once they discovered the DHS ID, I suspect they might have required a change of undergarments.
