Good day all. Recently President Trump settled a lawsuit against CBS News and Paramount over 60 Minutes rigging an interview with Kackling Kamala Harris. With that settlement, a deal to sell Paramount to Skydance, which had been on hold due to the suit, could finally be completed.<\/p>\n

The Left, which hadn\u2019t been paying that much attention to the deal until the lawsuit by President Trump, suddenly looked up at who was actually buying Paramount. It turns out that Skydance Media is a privately held company owned by David Ellison<\/a>. Skydance is not noted for producing Woke garbage that nobody watches. In fact, it looks like they produce movies and television shows that most people actually like.<\/p>\n

This being said, it does look like David Ellison, who is the son of Oracle founder Larry Ellison, might not be a supporter of President Trump. Why you may ask? Because he decided to set fire to $1 million dollars and donated it to Biden. Still, the Libtards are panicking over what is probably going to happen to the CBS News division. Here are the amusing details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Former CBS anchor Connie Chung warned on CNN Friday that the recent merger<\/a> between Paramount Global and Skydance Media could be the “end” of journalism as she once knew it. <\/b><\/p>\n

Well I certainly hope so! We have seen just how corrupt so called \u201cJournalists\u201d have become over the decades.<\/p>\n

The FCC announced it approved an $8 billion merger between the two companies on Thursday with the deal set to close on August 7. This came after several controversies involving CBS, which Paramount owns, such as a lawsuit settlement with President Donald Trump over a “60 Minutes” segment<\/a> and canceling “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” <\/b><\/p>\n

I heard something interesting the other day. There is a rumor that if the lawsuit had not happened, Colbert would have been canned months ago. If this is true, then Colbert owes President Trump thanks for keeping him on the air for a few more months and getting a paycheck.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Based on the newly formed company Paramount Skydance Corp., the former “CBS Evening News” anchor suggested the network she was a part of could lose all of its independence. <\/b><\/p>\n

“I fear the end of CBS as I knew it,” Chung said on “CNN News Central.” “CBS was always a standalone network. It was autonomous. The news division was autonomous, and it was always unencumbered by pressures from politicians, including presidents, and unencumbered by bean counters. But now? I can see very clearly that the days that I remembered are long gone.” <\/b><\/p>\n

And to that I say, GOOD! CBS and CBS News have been manufacturing news and slandering people for years. They finally did something that someone, in this case President Trump, had the means to push back with.<\/p>\n

She continued, “Honest, unbiased, fact-based journalism is being tainted and those who practiced that journalism, like Edward R. Murrow and Walter Cronkite, that kind of journalism has disappeared. I also fear that gone are the days of Frank Stanton, who was the president of CBS, who defended the rights of the journalism, the First Amendment, the fourth estate before Congress, and he represented all journalists in many ways.” <\/b><\/p>\n

Cronkite managed to burn a large amount of his credibility when he decided to editorialize about the Vietnam war while on the news desk. Edward R. Murrow was the gold standard, however he was a reporter, not a journalist. If you want to look at when things started changing, it\u2019s when you had people referring to themselves as journalists and not reporters.<\/p>\n

Chung is correct though that honest, unbiased fact based journalism is being tainted. What she fails to understand is that it was that it was people like her that tainted the news. Perhaps if we returned to honest, unbiased fact based reporting instead of journalism, the Legacy Media might begin regaining their credibility.<\/p>\n

Chung placed more blame on Paramount\u2019s controlling shareholder Shari Redstone and Skydance Media CEO David Ellison for having “tainted journalism” with their “greed.” She also called out company\u2019s pledge to not implement any new DEI initiatives as an insult to her and other women and minorities at CBS. <\/b><\/p>\n

This is why no one trusts the Legacy Media. Chung has her head so far up her ass that she has completely missed what\u2019s happening in the United States. First, she demonstrates that she is a typical Liberal racist with her demands that DEI be continued. DEI has been proven to be highly destructive to companies. She\u2019s also admitting that the only reason she was able to \u201cGet ahead\u201d was due to her gender, not her own talents and abilities.<\/p>\n

As for greed? Obviously, we can\u2019t see what\u2019s in your contract for compensation, but I suspect it is in the 7 figures. You certainly aren\u2019t worth that. You are under the misguided impression that corporations exist to cater to what you want. I hate to be the one to break it to you, but they are in business to make money. If they lose money, then eventually, they have to shut everything down. Paramount\/CBS made a number of bad decisions and basically ran out of money. This is why they\u2019re selling to Skydance.<\/p>\n

Several journalists have accused CBS and Paramount of acquiescing to Trump ahead of the merger through its settlement and cancellations, including Chung. <\/b><\/p>\n

The so called journalists of the CBS News division were actively working to kill the Skydance deal. They also don\u2019t see anything wrong in using the News division as a propaganda arm for the Democrat party. I also don\u2019t think they either understood or cared that if the sale fell through, there was a very good chance that the entire company would end up shutting down and everything being sold off piecemeal in a fire sale.<\/p>\n

“I have difficulty believing what they claim, which is that the \u201860 Minutes\u2019 agreement had nothing to do with the merger, or a settlement had nothing to do with the merger, and also that the disappearance of Steve [sic] Colbert had nothing to do \u2014 it had only to do with financial issues. It all smells,” Chung said. <\/b><\/p>\n

Colbert was costing Paramount $40 million dollars a year. Advertisers were looking at the numbers and asking \u201cWhat the heck are we paying for?\u201d Chung is your classic Manhattan Marxist. She has hers and she wants yours as well. In her mind, she is, as one of the privileged elite, she should be supported by others in whatever she wants to do.<\/p>\n

Paramount has been facing an intense backlash for its recent decisions, even from some of its own employees<\/a>. <\/b><\/p>\n

Veteran “60 Minutes” producer Rome Hartman told Fox News Digital<\/a> earlier this month that he thought the company\u2019s settlement with Trump was a “cowardly capitulation by the corporate leaders of Paramount” and a “fundamental betrayal” of CBS News.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

In the end, Skydance is going to be the new owners, and they are going to start reconfiguring both the entertainment and then news divisions. What will this entail? Basically, taking out the WOKE progressive trash. I won\u2019t be at all surprised if 60 Minutes is closed down. They are the ones that started this whole mess and have proven that management flat out can not trust them.<\/p>\n

Next will be major cuts to the entire news division. A few people expect that the Skydance\/CBS News will just do the legal minimums for the time being as they start rebuilding the News division. That rebuilding should start with taking any applicants who graduated with a degree in journalism and circular filing it. In the mean time, the Leftards in Congress are having a fit of their own.<\/p>\n

Senators Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. and Ron Wyden, D-Ore., also sent a letter to Ellison demanding answers about the Trump settlement and the Colbert cancellation<\/a>, suggesting anti-bribery laws may have been broken in order for the merger to proceed with FCC approval.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

The response should and probably will be, \u201cNone of your Fu**ing business!\u201d The left has, in all probability, just lost one of their major propaganda outlets and they are looking at others such as the Washington Compost and the Los Angeles Times begin a formal restructuring and a return to what news organizations should be. Places that report what is happening and not try to tell you what to think. It\u2019s long past time.<\/p>\n
