Good day all. Last year there were two attempts on the life of the Greatest President of the 21st<\/sup> century, Donald Trump. The first attempt had a round graze President Trump\u2019s right ear, with two other people wounded and one, tragically killed. The second attempt was stopped by the Secret Service at Mar-a-lago and the criminal fled.<\/p>\n

That criminal was Ryan Routh. He was captured soon after the attempt. His trial, where he was representing himself, just concluded with Routh being found guilty. Here are the details from Newsmax<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

A man representing himself in federal court against charges of trying to assassinate Donald Trump last year at his Florida golf course was found guilty of all charges Tuesday afternoon. The jury deliberated for about 2 hours and 20 minutes.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

That long? I guess they decided to have the catered lunch before coming back with the verdict. I figure 30 minutes to come to the verdict, about an hour to do the paperwork and then lunch.<\/p>\n

The jury found that Routh, 59, intended to kill Trump, then a former U.S. president and Republican presidential candidate, when he pointed a rifle through a fence while Trump was golfing at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach. <\/b><\/p>\n

The fact that this nut is alive is a testament, and not in a good way, to the Secret Service\u2019s marksmanship. As I recall, Routh was spotted and one or more agents opened fire and missed. They did manage to drive him off so there is that.<\/p>\n

He faces a maximum sentence of life in prison. <\/b><\/p>\n

Since this is in Florida, and everyone is pretty angry at what this walking turd tried to do, I don\u2019t see the judge being at all lenient in his sentence. Granted this is a federal case, but the judge hearing it is not noted for playing games. Now this is where the fun begins. Apparently Routh actually thought he had put on a good case and that he was going to be acquitted. When the jury came back and announced guilty, he tried to emulate John Wick<\/a>, only on himself.<\/p>\n

At some point, Newsmax reports, Routh attempted to stab himself with a pen before marshals swarmed him. His daughter shouted at him to stop. <\/b><\/p>\n

I feel sorry for his daughter, knowing that her father is a complete nutjob who is going to spend the rest of his miserable life in prison.<\/p>\n

Earlier Tuesday, Routh told jurors during his closing argument that he did not intend to kill anyone that day. <\/b><\/p>\n

“It’s hard for me to believe that a crime occurred if the trigger was never pulled,” Ryan Routh said. <\/b><\/p>\n

If that rifle he had wasn\u2019t aimed in President Trump\u2019s direction and was just left in the car, he may have had a defense. However, he had it set up through the fence links ready to fire once President Trump came into range. Granted, the rifle was piece of junk, but Brandon Herrera, the AK Guy, did a breakdown of the rifle and was actually surprised at what he found.<\/p>\n
