Good day all. A little over a year ago, reports came out regarding the Chief of London, England\u2019s Metropolitan police announcing<\/a> that he would arrest Americans in the United States for posting anything that the British government didn\u2019t like. That idiot was roundly and soundly mocked by Americans with many reminding the moron that we had already had this discussion in 1776.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

As time went on, people generally forgot about the Brits, aka \u201cBeans on Toast\u201d issuing threats. Then came the news that the UK government was going to fine 4Chan<\/a> \u00a3<\/span>20,000 pounds for violating their censorship rules. 4Chan, through their attorney, Ron Coleman, basically told the Brits to go pound sand<\/a> and ignored their fines. (4Chan<\/a> is hosted in the United States and is subject to American laws and the Constitution of the United States)<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t sitting well with the Limey Bastards and they have decided to \u201cUp their game\u201d as it were. They are now saying that the 1st<\/sup> Amendment does not protect Americans from British Authority. Here are the details from the National Pulse<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Britain\u2019s communications regulator, Ofcom<\/a>, has asserted that the U.S. Constitution, including the First Amendment<\/a>, does not prevent it from imposing sanctions under the draconian Online Safety Act<\/a>, even against U.S.-based companies. This assertion comes amid a growing legal dispute with the 4chan imageboard, which has refused to comply with information requests issued by Ofcom. <\/b><\/p>\n

As I mentioned above, 4Chan<\/a> is based in the United States and has no presence in the formally great Britain. They are not subject to British laws. As for the serfs residing in Britain, they can go to the 4Chan site<\/a> and view the content. Of course, now that Britain has gone totalitarian, these people may be criminally charged. (The Muslim rape gangs, on the other hand, will continue to be ignored by the police. Their victims will probably be the ones charged and jailed) Just as an aside, until now, I\u2019ve never visited 4chan<\/a> and don\u2019t have a lot of information on what they do.<\/p>\n

Ofcom recently fined 4chan \u00a320,000 ($26.7k) for failing to respond to its statutory notices and warned of further daily penalties. The regulator argues that the Online Safety Act, which came into force earlier this year, applies to any online platform accessible in the United Kingdom, regardless of where it is based. <\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In its correspondence with 4chan, Ofcom stated that the platform\u2019s claims of constitutional<\/a> protections, especially under the First Amendment, were not relevant, and that it can apply its enforcement powers internationally regardless of U.S. law. <\/b><\/p>\n

Yeah, good luck with that. No American court will rule in your favor. Well, maybe if you find a Biden or Obama Judge. They\u2019ve shown their utter contempt for the Constitution.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Online Safety Act gives Ofcom broad authority to compel companies to monitor and remove supposedly <\/b>harmful online content. Critics, including civil liberties advocates and U.S. lawmakers, have warned that the law imposes sweeping\u00a0censorship<\/a> obligations, going well beyond child pornography and other obviously criminal content. For instance, parliamentary debates on Muslim grooming gangs<\/a> have already been <\/b>taken down to satisfy its requirements. <\/b><\/p>\n

In the last year or so, pretty much since the Conservative Party was soundly thwacked in their last election, and the Labour party took control, Britain has basically gone full tyrannical. (The Conservative party was almost as bad which is why they were beaten like a drum) People are now going to prison for just standing somewhere and praying silently.<\/p>\n

While I don\u2019t follow British politics all that much, I understand that Nigel Farage\u2019s Reform Party is gaining in their polls by leaps and bounds, and the Labour Party\u2019s polling numbers have cratered. It looks like the Reform party might take control of the government when they have another election, if they ever have another one.<\/p>\n

In response to Ofcom\u2019s actions, 4chan and Kiwi Farms, another U.S.-based platform, filed a lawsuit in federal court<\/a> seeking to block the British regulator\u2019s demands. The lawsuit argues that the Online Safety Act, as applied to American companies and speech, violates the First Amendment and attempts to impose British law extraterritorially. Legal counsel for the platforms has said the enforcement notices are void and unenforceable in the United States. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cEvery threat and penalty\u2014including threats of multi-year prison terms\u2014contained in these letters pertains to speech and conduct which is constitutionally protected in the United States,\u201d 4chan\u2019s lawyer Preston Byrne argued. <\/b><\/p>\n

Which is why 4Chan and other web sites based in the United States are telling the Beans on Toast government to go take a flying fuck at a rolling doughnut. There is no way the courts will back the Brits, and frankly, if they were that stupid, that would be the final nail in the coffin of the Judicial branch of the United States.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer\u2019s government has defended the law<\/a>, describing it as a necessary measure to protect children<\/a> and users from online harm. Starmer also previously insisted that the legislation is not intended to censor Americans\u2014claiming<\/a>, \u201cWe wouldn\u2019t want to reach across U.S. citizens, and we don\u2019t, and that\u2019s absolutely right\u201d\u2014but Ofcom\u2019s actions against 4chan suggest this was untrue. <\/b><\/p>\n

Keir Starmer has proven himself to be a scumbag. From what I\u2019ve read and heard, he has helped cover up the criminal malfeasance of British law enforcement regarding the Muslim grooming gangs that were selling teen girls. From what I\u2019ve read, he has no chance of being reelected as Prime Minister. (The whole British system very different from ours. You vote the party, not the person as I understand it) I\u2019m not at all surprised that commie lied about the reach of that totalitarian law.<\/p>\n

A federal court has yet to rule on whether Ofcom\u2019s orders can be enforced or recognized under U.S. law. In the meantime, Ofcom has stated it will continue to pursue penalties and reserves the right to escalate enforcement, including blocking access to noncompliant sites. <\/b><\/p>\n

What British government does in their country is their own business. If they want to block their subjects, then they can do that. I\u2019m sure the People\u2019s Republic of China will be more than happy to help you to construct the \u201cGreat Firewall of England.\u201d As for a United States court ruling on this case, if it takes that judge more than 2 minutes to throw the British into the harbor to be one with their tea, that judge needs to be removed from the bench.<\/p>\n

A key legal stance of 4chan is \u2014 paraphrased by Ofcom \u2014 \u201cOfcom has no power to enforce UK laws in the US.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

And the Brits response to this?<\/p>\n

The UK Ofcom has officially stated that, \u201cWe do not accept this point.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

And the response from myself any millions of other Americans?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It\u2019s time for President Trump to get on the phone to that thug, Starmer, and flat out tell him that enough is enough. If Starmer doesn\u2019t take the hint, then perhaps it\u2019s time for the United States to rethink it\u2019s \u201cSpecial Relationship\u201d with Britain and start considering that regime change might be something to look into.<\/p>\n

As for the Brits trying to enforce this, assuming the courts don\u2019t shove their heads up their own asses, all I can say is good luck. I can see them actually trying to do something really stupid and sending agents into the United States to grab a few people, smuggle them back to Britain and put them on trial.<\/p>\n

Would they like to know how many ways that can go wrong for them? Allow me to give them an idea. There are between 400 and 800 million guns in private hands in the United States. (Despite the best actions of the Labour Party\u2019s fellow travelers, aka the Democrat Party) The odds are that if you try to kidnap someone, that person, or someone near them will be carrying a gun. Unlike the British, American gun owners know how to shoot and they practice a lot. At best, your agents are taken and held for the police, who will not be very happy with you. At worst? You get sent home in a pine box.<\/p>\n
