Good day all. A story broke last week that really shouldn\u2019t surprise anyone. A drug trafficker in Massachusetts was arrested. What makes this an interesting story is that this was one of Govno Maura Healey\u2019s aids.<\/p>\n

This arrest occurred in Springfield, Massachusetts. If that name sounds familiar, then you are a fan of the Simpsons. It\u2019s also halfway across the state, about 90 minutes from Boston. The aid, Lamar Cook, is, or was the deputy director of the Healey\u2019s western office. Now he is sitting in jail. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n An aide to Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey<\/a> was arrested for cocaine trafficking after investigators intercepted packages with the drug slated to be delivered to a state office building where he worked, prosecutors said.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n I can\u2019t say I\u2019m surprised at the level of stupidity of one of Healey\u2019s DEI hires. He was having cocaine shipped to his office? That\u2019s not just stupid, that is epic stupid. The Massachusetts State Police check packages coming in. Usually they\u2019re looking for things like explosives or poisons, but the sensors will see Bolivian Marching Powder as easily as it does anthrax, probably easier.<\/p>\n LaMar Cook, 45, of Springfield, pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Wednesday and was ordered held without bail pending a court hearing, Boston.com reported.\u00a0In addition to the drug charge, Cook is also charged with illegally owning a firearm and ammunition.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n Ok this one is probably a charge I consider unconstitutional. The only reason it wold be illegal is if this criminal mastermind was a convicted felon. I don\u2019t see anything in the story to indicate he had been convicted previously of any felonies. I suspect he didn\u2019t go through the Massachusetts process of begging for permission to exercise his 2nd<\/sup> Amendment rights. (Massachusetts is a Blue State and has banned the right to keep and bear arms)<\/p>\n Cook served as deputy director of Healey\u2019s Western Massachusetts office, according to an archived staff directory. A spokesperson for the governor\u2019s office said state officials fired Cook “effectively immediately” after learning of his arrest Tuesday, Boston.com reported.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n “The conduct that occurred here is unacceptable and represents a major breach of the public trust,” the spokesperson said. “This criminal investigation is ongoing, and our administration will work with law enforcement to assist them in their work.” <\/b><\/p>\n This is all \u201cPolispeak\u201d for \u201cOh shit! Didn\u2019t anyone do a check on this guy before he was hired?\u201d I think the safe answer to this is of course they didn\u2019t. The Fox News story has a picture of the now former deputy director and going by first impressions, he looks like someone I wouldn\u2019t want to meet in a well lit hallway, never mind a dark alley. Granted, this is not the way to judge someone, however, I\u2019ve seen people dressed like bums that I would trust more then this clown. (And skin tone doesn\u2019t matter. I look at the face and eyes)<\/p>\n Authorities have seized 21 kilograms of cocaine<\/a>, including eight intercepted Saturday during a delivery operation at the Springfield State Office Building, the DA’s office said.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n 21 kilograms? Yeah, if he\u2019s convicted, he\u2019s not getting out of jail any time soon. I guess he can count his blessing that he wasn\u2019t in a boat in the Gulf of America with his drugs.<\/p>\n The investigation stemmed from two prior drug seizures. Authorities intercepted and searched two suspicious packages at Hotel UMass (University of Massachusetts Amherst<\/a>) in Amherst on Oct. 10 and found about 13 kilograms of suspected cocaine.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n That\u2019s was probably for a party at Umass Animal Amherst. How did they tie this in to Cook?<\/p>\n Cook previously worked as the director of Hotel UMass, according to his LinkedIn profile.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n “Evidence collected during that operation was consistent with the narcotics recovered during the most recent controlled delivery in Springfield,” the DA\u2019s office said. “The investigation into the UMass seizure remains ongoing and may result in additional charges related to the prior shipments in Hampshire County.”\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/eyerolll-brain.jpg?resize=290%2C295&ssl=1\")
