Good day all. For the last couple of months, President Trump has been using the Drug Cartels fast boats loaded with drugs for target practice. Most of the American people support what President Trump is doing. However, there are a few members of congress who are upset that we are reducing the amount of drugs getting into the country.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

When President Trump declared the Drug Cartels to be terrorists, he also unleashed the military soon thereafter, the Pentagon released a video of a Drug Cartel\u2019s fast boat, basically an ocean going speed boat, being blown out of the water. In that incident, there were no survivors.<\/p>\n

The military then proceeded to blow a number of other boats out of the water, sending hundreds of kilograms of Bolivian Marching Powder, aka Cocaine, into the briny deep. This upset the Democrats and a couple of Republicans. (Rand Paul) They were upset that the United States military was blowing the narco-terrorists boats out of the water instead of capturing the drugs and arresting the crew and giving them due process.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This is the reason that the Senate Democrats tried to stop President Trump\u2019s latest move to protect Americans. Here are the details from the Common Defense<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

The Senate on Thursday rejected a bid to curb President Donald Trump\u2019s latitude in potentially striking Venezuela, a vote that keeps Congress on the sidelines while the administration strengthens its naval posture in the Caribbean. <\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The outcome comes as Democrats press for greater oversight, even as Republicans appear ready to grant the president additional room to maneuver. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Trump has taken decisive action to protect thousands of Americans from lethal narcotics,\u201d said Sen. Jim Risch, the Republican chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. <\/b><\/p>\n

Yes, President Trump is doing something that should have been done decades ago. Back in the 80\u2019s and 90\u2019s, several novels were written about turning lose the military or the CIA. Tom Clancy\u2019s Clear and Present Danger<\/a> was one of these novels. The difference between between a Clancy novel and reality is that we aren\u2019t trying to hide what we\u2019re doing.<\/p>\n

The remark mirrors a broader argument that behind the headlines lies a genuine effort to deny narcotics a path into the United States and to deter criminal networks at sea. <\/b><\/p>\n

It also shows that the majority of Americans are all in on exploding Narco boats. The problem is the Democrats and a couple of RINO\u2019s. They aren\u2019t happy that their Cocaine supply is going into fish gills instead of their own nasal cavities.<\/p>\n

A vote tally of 49-51 reflected a political reality more than a simple numbers game. The only Republicans voting in favor were Sens. Rand Paul of Kentucky and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rand Paul is proving once and for all that he\u2019s about as nutty as his father and Lisa Murkowski? She\u2019s moved from RINO to TransRepublican. She will back the Democrats most of the time, even when her constituents tell her that they want the opposite.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The result underscored the uneasy balance between oversight and support for a muscular campaign aimed at drug trafficking and potential threats in the region. <\/b><\/p>\n

Not really, no, it doesn\u2019t. What it shows is that the Democrat Party is in the pay of the Cartels and they\u2019ve been told to put a stop to President Trump sending their expensive product to the bottom of the ocean.<\/p>\n

The United States is assembling an unusually large force, including its most advanced aircraft carrier, in the Caribbean Sea, leading many to conclude that Trump intends to go beyond just intercepting cocaine?running boats. <\/b><\/p>\n

No, President Trump isn\u2019t going to invade Venezuela. There have been rumors of sending in airstrikes on Cartel targets, but I can\u2019t see that happening, at least not from a carrier. I suspect President Trump is simply playing mind games on Venezuela dictator Maduro…And the Democrat Party.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really an open secret that this is much more about potential regime change,\u201d said Sen. Adam Schiff, a California Democrat who pushed the resolution. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cIf that\u2019s where the administration is headed, if that\u2019s what we\u2019re risking \u2014 involvement in a war \u2014 then Congress needs to be heard on this.\u201d The remark highlighted the tension between a perceived strategic objective and the constitutional prerogatives of Congress. <\/b><\/p>\n

There are a number of ways to cause a potential \u201cRegime Change\u201d in Venezuela. Sending in the Marines is at the bottom of the list. That\u2019s the way the old Neocon\u2019s and Bush RINO\u2019s liked to do things and we have plenty of experience on just how well that works out. Besides, there is no need. Unless China or Russia try playing games and trigger the Monroe Doctrine<\/a>, we aren\u2019t going into that political dumpster fire. No matter how much Lindsey Graham wants us to.<\/p>\n

Some Republicans remain uneasy about the campaign. Sen. Thom Tillis, a North Carolina Republican who voted against the resolution, said that he still has doubts about the plan. He pointed out that it was expensive to change the deployment location for an aircraft carrier and questioned whether those funds could be better used at the U.S.-Mexico border to stop fentanyl trafficking. Tillis warned that if the campaign continues for several months more, \u201cthen we have to have a real discussion about whether or not we\u2019re engaging in some sort of hybrid war.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

Listen stupid, we have been in a war with the drug cartels for decades. The crap they\u2019ve been smuggling into the United States has poisoned tens of thousands of people. If we can cut the flow that comes in via boats and submersibles by blowing those things out of the water, then this is a good thing.<\/p>\n

Perhaps you should go back to your state and ask the people who put you into office what they think. My guess is that the don\u2019t want to invade Venezuela, and I believe that President Trump has no plans to do so. Otherwise, President Trump should carry on.<\/p>\n

Sen. Todd Young, an Indiana Republican, explained his vote by saying he did not believe the legislation was \u201cnecessary or appropriate at this time.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

Yet he added that he was \u201ctroubled by many aspects and assumptions of this operation and believe it is at odds with the majority of Americans who want the U.S. military less entangled in international conflicts.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

We aren\u2019t \u201cEntangled\u201d in an international conflict. This is the direct defense of the United States of America from a terrorist criminal organization that is smuggling drugs into the United States. We aren\u2019t invading anywhere, we aren\u2019t nation building. Basically, the military is conducting target practice. Add to this, it\u2019s in the Gulf of America, not the Persian Gulf or anywhere else.<\/p>\n

At a hearing of the Senate Armed Services Committee earlier Thursday, Sen. Roger Wicker, the Republican chair, said that many senators have \u201cserious concerns about the Pentagon\u2019s policy office\u201d and that Congress was not being consulted on recent actions such as pausing Ukraine security assistance and reducing U.S. troop levels in Romania. <\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Republican lawmakers have directed their ire toward the Defense Department\u2019s policy shop, led by Elbridge Colby, who has advocated for the United States to pull back from some international commitments. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cIt just seems like there\u2019s this pigpen-like mess coming out of the policy shop,\u201d said Sen. Tom Cotton, an Arkansas Republican who chairs the Senate Intelligence Committee, during another Armed Services hearing. <\/b><\/p>\n

And you can go take a flying fuck at a rolling donut. Americans are tired of playing world police. Blowing narco boats out of the water is literally defending the United States. As for Europe, with a few exceptions, people are sick of them. I don\u2019t know the percentage, but I think that pulling out of NATO is something many Americans think should have happened 20 years ago.<\/p>\n

Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth held a classified briefing for congressional leaders on Wednesday, outlining the intelligence behind the targeting and the legal rationales for the strikes, while avoiding a direct pledge to strike Venezuela itself. <\/b><\/p>\n

I can hazard a guess regarding the intelligence aspects. We probably have some CIA types on the ground watching the boats being loaded and then passing on the data to the military. They put a satellite or drone overhead and once the fast boat pulls out, the track it and at the right moment, KABOOM! As to the legality? These criminals aren\u2019t in the United States so they don\u2019t get due process. I understand that a few survivors were sent back to Venezuela, probably to pass along the news that the rules have changed. Eventually, the Cartels are not going to be able to find anyone to drive their boats from the Bay of Exploding Narco-boats into the Gulf of America.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Now the Democrats are really annoyed with President Trump and his using their drug supplier\u2019s transport system for target practice. They are insisting that we activate the war powers act in order to stop blowing the drug runners out of the water and insure a steady supply of Colombian Marching Powder into the nasal cavities of their constituents\u2026.and staffers I suspect.<\/p>\n

Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia announced that he would continue to force more votes, saying, \u201cWe should not be going to war without a vote of Congress. The lives of our troops are at stake.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

No actually they aren\u2019t. There are no troops in Venezuela. The Narco boats are being hit with drone strikes.<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cYou cannot bomb your way out of a drug crisis,\u201d a line that captured the frustration of those who want a different path forward in confronting narcotics trafficking without limitless engagement abroad. <\/b><\/p>\n

And what different path forward would that be? We\u2019ve never done anything like this before, so technically, this IS the different path. Of course, drug users in congress are now screaming about \u201cMission Creep.\u201d The idea about this is that we will start sending in ground forces on raids to hit the Cartel\u2019s supply points and drug labs. I don\u2019t see this happening.<\/p>\n

There is also the idea\/claim that we might conduct airstrikes inside Venezuela, again hitting the cartels. Again, while I don\u2019t have a problem here, I don\u2019t see the United States doing this. Just cutting off the supply routes across the Gulf of America by sinking the drug boats and submersibles is quite effective, especially when the few survivors are returned to spread the word that sailing a boatload of Cocaine towards the United States is suicide.<\/p>\n

Supporters of stronger oversight insist that the War Powers Resolution of 1973 remains a critical tool for safeguarding Congressional authority, while backers of a robust unilateral approach insist that speed and resolve in the face of cartel violence are essential. <\/b><\/p>\n

A small problem with the War Powers Act is that no president has ever accepted it. Some have worked within the confines, but they still took action when needed and then let Congress know after the fact. Then there are the people who actually matter, the American people. They overwhelmingly support turning the Narco boats into reefs and the crews into chum for the sharks. Here are those details from the Daily Caller<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

More than 70% of Americans support the Trump administration\u2019s decision to blow up cartel drug boats, according to a recent Harvard CAPS\/Harris poll. <\/b><\/p>\n

Since President Donald Trump\u2019s return to office in January, he has led a major crackdown on drug cartels, designating<\/a> certain international groups as Foreign Terrorist Organizations. In a Harvard CAPS\/Harris poll released<\/a> Monday, 71% of voters surveyed said they support sinking South American ships carrying drugs into the U.S. <\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a policy that is working, a policy that Americans support and certain members of Congress are on the wrong side again. Now if I were a conspiracy minded sort, I might think that a few members of Congress are in the pay of the Drug Cartels. I\u2019m sure that isn\u2019t the case of course, and it\u2019s just another conspiracy theory.<\/p>\n

I think it\u2019s time for the American people to start hammering on the idiots in Congress and tell them to start putting America first and stop stuffing cocaine up their noses. Call, write and email, (Although they tend to ignore those unless it\u2019s business related), and tell them that you support President Trumps blowing the narco-boats out of the water.<\/p>\n
