Good day all. This is a breaking story so as usual, the 72 hour rule is in effect. A man armed with a shotgun got onto the grounds of President Trump\u2019s home in Florida, Mar-a-lago.<\/p>\n

The man, identified as Austin Tucker Martin, was shot and killed by the security detail on site. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n A man in his early 20s was shot and killed early Sunday after allegedly breaching the secure perimeter of President Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, the U.S. Secret Service announced.<\/b><\/p>\n Currently, President and Mrs. Trump are in Washington and were not at risk from this nut.<\/b><\/p>\n The Secret Service said the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. when the suspect made an “unauthorized entry<\/a>” at the property. <\/b>The individual was observed near the north gate carrying what appeared to be a shotgun and a fuel can.<\/b><\/p>\n That sounds like the idiot was planning to do a little fiery protest by burning President Trump\u2019s home down. I have a suspicion that he knew the Trump\u2019s weren\u2019t there and assumed that the security detail would either be significantly reduced or not even in place.<\/p>\n Silly idiot.<\/p>\n The Secret Service might reduce the staff slightly, but there will always been agents patrolling 24\/7\/365 even when the President isn\u2019t on site. As for this idiot\u2019s apparent plan to torch Mar-a-lago? That place is huge and has fire suppression systems in place. At worst, he might have done a few thousand dollars in damage if he had managed to succeed, which he didn\u2019t, and now he has assumed room temperature.<\/p>\n Agents and a deputy from the Palm Beach County Sheriff\u2019s Office (PBSO) confronted the man who was pronounced dead at the scene.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n That must have been one heck of a confrontation then. Considering that there have been two attempts on President Trump, I have a suspicion that confrontations tend to involve, shoot first, shoot again, shoot some more<\/a> and then demand the suspects surrender.<\/p>\n Sheriff Ric Bradshaw confirmed to Fox News that the suspect was 21-year-old Austin Tucker Martin of North Carolina. The FBI, Secret Service and Palm Beach County Sheriff\u2019s Office are investigating, including the man\u2019s background, actions and potential motive, as well as the use of force. <\/b><\/p>\n 21 years old? Would anyone care to place a wager on what the background investigation on this moron is going to turn up? Dollars to doughnuts, it\u2019s going to show he was a raging libtard and probably a member of Antifa. It will probably be a week or so before any information comes out. The FBI needs to make sure that this deceased whackjob was working alone. I suspect he probably was.<\/p>\n Bradshaw said at a press conference that a deputy and two Secret Service agents on the detail went to investigate after an individual made his way onto the “inner perimeter” of Mar-a-Lago.<\/b><\/p>\n “They confronted a white male that was carrying a gas can and a shotgun. He was ordered to drop those two pieces of equipment that he had with him \u2013 at which time he put down the gas can, raised the shotgun to a shooting position,” Bradshaw told reporters. “At that point in time, the deputy and the two Secret Service agents<\/a> fired their weapons and neutralized the threat.”<\/b><\/p>\n The deputy was probably armed with a handgun. The Secret Service? They probably had something a little bit heavier then sidearms. I actually checked with Grok and they said that agents might carry the FN P90. Useful for intruding armed nuts, Jaffa and Goa\u2019uld that might come through the Stargate<\/a>. (Ok, I couldn\u2019t resist) In any case, the criminal was probably not expecting to run into anyone. (I expect both significant delusions and pharmaceuticals being involved)<\/p>\n He said the suspect did not exchange any words with law enforcement officers who instructed the man to “drop the items.”<\/b><\/p>\n Well, he did, eventually, right after he started leaking from a number of newly formed body orifices. The Fox story also shows the shotgun dumbass was carrying. It looks like a pretty typical pump action 12 gauge. Depending on what he was loaded with, and his competence with it, he could have caused some serious injuries or fatalities among the security force. What is also interesting is that it\u2019s a shotgun and not an AR platform rifle.
