Good day all. It\u2019s been about 2 months since Operation Yoink removed Nicholas Maduro from power. When this happened, the usual suspects were screaming \u201cRegime Change! Forever War! Boots on the ground!\u201d None of that happened. Instead the next person in the line of succession took office in Venezuela.<\/p>\n

Since then, there has been discussions and, to be honest, a few threats against the current government. However, there have also been a number of carrots. One big juicy carrot has been oil exports. For years, first Hugo Chavez and then Nicholas Maduro basically looted Venezuela\u2019s oil reserves for their own purposes and bank accounts. Maduro was selling oil to China and Cuba for far less than market value. Now things have changed and for the benefit of Venezuela and it\u2019s people. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

The Trump administration has turned Venezuela into a significant U.S. oil supplier<\/a>, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said Sunday, arguing the shift will help offset Middle East disruptions and ease pressure from the global shipping crisis.<\/b><\/p>\n

“[Venezuela] was a sanctioned adversary, and now they’re a strategic ally with the largest reserves with no threat of the chokehold like we have in the Strait of Hormuz,” Burgum told “The Sunday Briefing.”<\/b><\/p>\n

“Venezuelan oil can flow to America freely and is starting to flow, will continue to flow, and these are the kinds of things that are going to bring gas prices down in America, because President Trump understands that energy security means national security and energy security also means affordability for Americans,” he said.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

For those who might be screaming about this being American favoritism, there are a few technical things Libtards and Democrats may not be aware of. The oil from Venezuela is very \u201cHeavy\u201d and requires specialized refineries. Those refineries are in the United States. I\u2019m assuming there are others around the world, but economically, shipping the oil across the Gulf of America makes sense. We\u2019re also paying fair market value for the oil as well.<\/p>\n

Burgum\u2019s comments align with recent moves to expanding <\/a>Venezuelan crude exports<\/a> to the United States, with Venezuela\u2019s state oil company Petr\u00f3leos de Venezuela S.A. signing new contracts last week to supply crude oil and refined products to U.S. Gulf Coast refineries. <\/b>The agreements are part of a broader effort to re-establish commercial ties and bring Venezuelan oil back<\/a> into major U.S. supply chains.<\/b><\/p>\n

It\u2019s also designed to help Venezuela pick itself up and start the process of rebuilding themselves into the prosperous nation it once was. Imperfect at the time, but far better then it is now. Of course, there is also a down side to the rising prices. American oil companies will now have an incentive to start drilling domestically. Frankly, this is a good thing.<\/p>\n

Finally, once Epic Fury is completed and Iran is no longer a threat to the United States or anyone else, tankers will be able to start transiting the Straits of Hormuz again. That will also start oil prices back down, especially as the oil states sell off the oil they already have stored in tanks.<\/p>\n

For Venezuela, this will give them some breathing space. Hopefully, the new government won\u2019t be wasting money on cheap Chinese weapon systems that have proven to be ineffective and instead spend it on roads, bridges medical system and schools. They should also start looking into mining all the other resources they have. With hard work and a bit of luck, Venezuela will be reborn.<\/p>\n
