Good morning all, this is the Angry Systems Administrator with a bit of news from the Anger Central Data Center. Most of you don’t know that Anger Central doesn’t host its own servers. The reason is cost.<\/p>\n

In order to run a full data center we would need to buy or lease building space, get a generator, fire suppression systems, multiple internet connections, and backup systems. All this before we even looked at server hardware.<\/p>\n

In other words, $10’s of thousands of dollars in start up costs. I think we made $0.42 from the ads we run last month. In other words, it isn’t cost effective for us to run our own network.<\/p>\n

Instead we host Anger Central<\/a> on a shared server run by a company called Hosting Matters<\/a>. We moved over to them when we started having problems with our previous hosting service, Fly By Night Internet.<\/p>\n

We found Hosting Matters<\/a> when one of our favorite sites, The Anti-Idiotarian\u00a0Rottweiler<\/a>, had a Hosting Matters<\/a> badge on their main page. I did the technical checks on the service and the Angry Beancounter<\/em><\/del> Accountant looked into costs. They were a lot better than the current services we had so we moved over there a few years ago, and we’ve had no regrets about it.<\/p>\n

Recently, Hosting Matters<\/a> started running a special. $11\/mo for unlimited disk space and bandwidth. I saw this and went “Hmmm.” We’ve been using a lower level account for the simple reason we didn’t need anything else. However, this month we actually used \u00a0more than half our\u00a0allotted\u00a0bandwidth and I’ve always been a bit concerned about space issues.<\/p>\n

I talked it over with the Angry Accountant and the Time Waster in Charge<\/em><\/del> Angry Webmaster and after speaking with the\u00a0people\u00a0at Hosting Matters<\/a>, we decided to upgrade the account.<\/p>\n

So what does this mean for you?<\/p>\n

Pretty much nothing. You will see the same levels of service, (BWAHAHAHAHA), that you’ve always seen from Anger Central<\/a>. However we now can do more on the back end then we could in the past.<\/p>\n

So, in conclusion, if you are looking for a reasonably priced internet web site provider, Anger Central<\/a> heartily recommends Hosting Matters<\/a>. The Buffoon<\/em><\/del> Angry Webmaster recommended the company to someone in his Real World Job and that person was very\u00a0satisfied. We hope you will be too.<\/p>\n
