Good day all. I haven\u2019t written anything about Representative Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick because so much else was happening. She is a Democrat representing Florida\u2019s 20th<\/sup> district. She is also under indictment for fraud and if convicted is looking at 50 years in prison.<\/p>\n

Recently McCormick was investigated by the House Ethics committee and they found sufficient evidence to recommend her expulsion from the House of Representatives. Soon after, at least one representative started working on a bill to expel McCormick. Most people would have taken the hint and resigned.<\/p>\n

Eric Scumwell and Tony Gonzales, two dirtbags from each of the parties were both looking at expulsion and decided that resignation was a better idea than being booted out. Both had vested in that gold plated retirement system Congress has cooked up for itself. I don\u2019t know, but being expelled may have cost them their pensions. For McCormick, that wouldn\u2019t have been an issue. She is only in her second term.<\/p>\n
