This was all predicated on the false report cooked up by Felonia von Pantsuit that President Trump was a Russian asset. (It actually was Felonia. See the Uranium One<\/a> sale she cashed in on) Now, the current director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Kash Patel, has flat out accused the FBI back then of lying to get the warrants. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n FBI Director Kash Patel<\/a> accused the FBI of lying to obtain surveillance warrants to illegally spy on President Donald Trump during his 2016 presidential campaign and subsequent first term.<\/b><\/p>\n Trump has long accused his 2016 opponent, Hillary Clinton, and former President Barack Obama of being ringleaders in an alleged spying conspiracy against his campaign, an allegation both have denied.<\/b><\/p>\n Of course they are denying it. If they admitted it, then the possibility of criminal prosecution comes up.<\/p>\n Patel detailed the years long federal investigation into the alleged surveillance on the latest episode of “Hang Out with Sean Hannity.”<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n “It took me two years of my life to prove the following: that a political party in the United States of America in the 21st century would go overseas and hire some bogus intelligence asset to manufacture fraudulent, fake, unverified information, funnel that to not just the intelligence community, but the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” he said.<\/b><\/p>\n “And then take those packaged lies that they had paid for with campaign finance funds and go into a secret surveillance court and illegally spy on your opponent to be the president of the United States.”<\/b><\/p>\n I would say that this has been known for a while, but knowing and proving are two entirely different things. If President Trump hadn\u2019t won reelection in 2024, none of this would be coming out and it would always be labeled a conspiracy theory, along with all the other \u201cConspiracy Theories\u201d regarding the origins of Covid-19 and the corruption of the Biden family.<\/p>\n Patel’s comments come as scrutiny intensifies over the federal government<\/a>\u2019s use of spying power and following Congress\u2019 renewal of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) for 45 days.<\/b><\/p>\n Section 702 of FISA permits authorized U.S. officials to collect phone calls and text messages of foreign targets, but in doing so can also capture Americans\u2019 communications \u2013 a piece of legislation Trump strongly opposes.<\/b><\/p>\n FISA is, in my opinion, flagrantly unconstitutional. There is a major fight in the GOP caucus regarding renewing it. Considering how it\u2019s been abused, it needs to die. Do we need something to take it\u2019s place? I\u2019m not actually sure we do. We have a system and it\u2019s worked, generally, for 250 years.<\/p>\n Patel told Fox News that FISA warrants \u2013 some signed by former FBI Director James Comey<\/a> \u2013 were used to illegally spy on Trump and top officials, including himself, during the 2016 campaign and in years that followed.<\/strong><\/p>\n “I was illegally spied on by<\/a> the likes of Rod Rosenstein (former U.S. deputy attorney general) and Chris Wray (former FBI director) and 10 other staffers on the Hill and people who were elected to serve this country in the halls of Congress.”<\/b><\/p>\n “They were actually continuing the weaponization that Donald Trump<\/a> and I had exposed during Trump One [President Trump’s first term].”<\/b><\/p>\n Patel was a member of the National Security Council back in 2019. He was also the chief investigator and one of the authors on the 2018 Nunes memo reporting on FBI bias on the whole Russia thing. While he no doubt had some clues, Comey and Wray buried everything. Of course, they never expected Kash Patel to be in the position of Director of the FBI.<\/p>\n The FBI-approved warrants, Patel shared, were later rescinded by the FISA court in 2018 after a federal investigation into the alleged spying was completed.<\/b><\/p>\n “The FISA court themselves came back and said these warrants were illegal,” the FBI director explained. “The FBI did not provide evidence of exculpatory evidence and innocence and that the FBI essentially lied in those applications and all the information was unverified.”<\/b><\/p>\n That\u2019s called locking the barn after the horse has left. Knocked up a bunch of mares, and died of old age. These warrants should never have been granted in the first place. Of course, there was the question of who was on the FISA court at the time.<\/p>\n Patel argued that the alleged weaponization of federal law enforcement<\/a> did not end when Trump first left office in 2021 but was reignited under the Biden administration. <\/b><\/p>\n There are a lot of rumors that there are things happening behind the curtains and that the DoJ is getting ready for a lot of indictments. Currently, they have Comey under indictment for threatening the President. I suspect that may be a \u201cCamel\u2019s nose under the tent\u201d and they might be working on other indictments.<\/p>\n You also have an actual investigation into the 2020 election. Kash Patel has said that arrests are coming regarding that mess. I suspect the Democrats are getting worried since they are using their usual insults and calling anything about the 2020 Tainted election a conspiracy theory.<\/p>\n I know that people wanted arrests within hours of President Trump\u2019s glorious return to office January 20th<\/sup>, 2025. These people have to be patient. There is a lot that has been going on, such as cleaning out the FBI and DoJ of bad actors. Then there were all the records that Wray and Garland either hid or destroyed.<\/p>\n However, I think the corner has been turned and the FBI seizing election records from Fulton and Maricopa counties indicates that things are going to happen.
