Good day all. I will admit that when I saw this, my conspiracy meter pegged at 11. There is a report that people in the Central Intelligence Agency illegally spied on the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard and her team.<\/p>\n

Obviously, there has to be something going on. This isn\u2019t something I found on World News Daily. Apparently, these people were \u201cObserving\u201d Gabbard\u2019s team as they went through various documents to see if they cold be declassified. Here are the details from the Daily Caller<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

The CIA illegally surveilled its own intelligence community colleagues who were overseeing the agency\u2019s clandestine work and investigating allegations of wrongdoing, according to a congressional letter and an attorney representing whistleblowers.<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The CIA listened in on the interviews and watched the computer activity of a task force<\/a> working under Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard, the letter alleges. Gabbard\u2019s team, the Director\u2019s Initiatives Group or DIG, sought to review and declassify documents related to spy world abuses, including suppressed scientific evidence that COVID-19 was lab-made and fabricated intelligence painting President Donald Trump as a tool of Russia.<\/b><\/p>\n

CIA officer Jim Erdman, a member of the DIG, made the explosive allegation in written testimony<\/a> to Sen. Rand Paul\u2019s Committee on Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs, which Paul published as an attachment to a congressional letter to Langley on Thursday.<\/b><\/p>\n

Ok, we have another whistleblower who has come out publicly instead of hiding behind the anonymity shield that a lot of \u201cWhistleblowers\u201d use when they are making accusations against President Trump and his cabinet. In my mind, that increases his credibility. If he brought receipts as well?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As spy chief, Gabbard oversees the CIA. But America\u2019s most secretive spy agency bristled at the scrutiny, the letter indicates. CIA spies \u201cconstantly\u201d monitored the team\u2019s fledgling attempts to apply oversight and often impeded them, Erdman wrote.<\/b><\/p>\n

Well, there is a way to deal with that. You give these morons one warning. If the continue and try to hide what their doing, pull their security clearances and escort them from the building. If what they did rises to criminality, then prosecute them.<\/p>\n

Erdman, who led the team\u2019s efforts on the origins of COVID, testified in a Senate hearing Wednesday about a pattern of obstruction that elevated the work of scientists close to Fauci who promoted the theory that COVID emerged from an animal over the work of some of the intelligence community\u2019s own biological weapons experts, who often favored the theory the pandemic emerged from a lab. But his written testimony provides greater detail about his allegations of CIA obstruction.<\/b><\/p>\n

I knew about the Covid-19 cover-up and have a post about it. What the CIA did was inexcusable at best and yet another reason Anthony Fauci needs to die in prison. (Natural Causes, firing squad, gas chamber, electrocution, whatever as long as he\u2019s convicted and sentenced)<\/p>\n

Committee witnesses\u2019 written testimony is typically published before a hearing gets underway, but Erdman\u2019s statement was initially held back for fear of CIA retaliation.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI am testifying here today because, in my year with DIG, the CIA obstructed lawful oversight related to the DIG\u2019s work and retaliated against the DIG with what I believe were illegal investigations into DIG members,\u201d Erdman wrote.<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In addition to spying on the group\u2019s work, the CIA withheld documents and information ordered for declassification, denied the team access to necessary information, and withheld information from Gabbard herself, the letter states. This limited the team\u2019s access to documents related to the assassination of President John. F Kennedy and anomalous health incidents (AHI), or \u201cHavana syndrome.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

Obviously, I don\u2019t know how these things work, however, Ms. Gabbard reports directly to the President of the United States, Donald Trump. Perhaps she should have asked him to get involved. The last thing these clowns want is the attention of the President of the United States, whoever that may be. (Well, except Joe Biden. They could give him a bowl of ice cream and a 12 year old girl to play with and he wouldn\u2019t be any problem at all)<\/p>\n

Erdman alleges the team investigating anomalous health incidents \u00a0found that third parties listened in on their interviews, even in secure rooms.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cIndividuals involved in our AHI investigation discovered third parties were listening into secure phone calls at Intelligence Community facilities,\u201d Erdman wrote. \u201cIn one instance, it was during a conversation with a whistleblower.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

Erdman said the team confirmed with an IT expert that this eavesdropping ability would have required someone to specially request a technical change.<\/b><\/p>\n

That is going to leave a paper trail somewhere. I can also say that if someone presses the IT people, they aren\u2019t going to protect spies who broke the law. They will hand them over on a silver platter.<\/p>\n

Suspicions of eavesdropping heightened when a CIA contractor interviewed by the task force was fired the next day, Erdman said.<\/b><\/p>\n

I would have gone straight to that contractor\u2019s supervisor and asked WTF? I also think that contractor needs to be questioned by the oversight committees, even if it has to be done in a secured environment. As for whoever fired the contractor? Termination on the spot.<\/p>\n

One spy agency retaliated against an employee who took up the assignment to work on the DIG, Thompson told the DCNF. The DCNF is not naming the spy agency in order to protect the individual\u2019s identity. Thompson represents both Erdman and the unnamed individual.<\/b><\/p>\n

I suspect that the appropriate people are aware of who this is.<\/p>\n

The CIA had retaliated in other ways too, per Erdman\u2019s testimony, including the headline-grabbing claim that the agency had revoked documents set for declassification about the assassination of JFK and MKUltra<\/a>, psychological experiments the CIA conducted in the 1950s.<\/b><\/p>\n

I have no idea what that means. How do you revoke documents that are about to be declassified? Well, In know one way to get around this sort of obstruction.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Erdman\u2019s testimony provoked a rare public rebuke from a Republican cabinet member of a Republican-chaired hearing.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Committee acted in bad faith by subpoenaing an Agency officer for testimony today without notifying CIA, despite having already obtained closed-door testimony from the individual previously,\u201d said Liz Lyons, a spokesperson for CIA Director John Ratcliffe, in a public statement Wednesday. \u201cThe witness testifying today is not appearing as a whistleblower in pursuit of the truth, but instead in response to the subpoena issued by Chairman Paul.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThis proceeding amounts to nothing more than dishonest political theater masquerading as a congressional hearing,\u201d she said. \u201cAs the CIA has already assessed, COVID-19 most likely originated from a lab leak, and efforts to undermine that conclusion are disingenuous.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

While I have stated before that I have little use for Rand Paul, I can think of one reason that he issued the subpoena. It could be it was done at the request of Mr. Erdman to provide him some cover. Obviously, if what he is saying is at all true, then a subpoena would be a way to protect him. He would be responding to a demand to appear by Congress in their oversight roll.<\/p>\n

Now I will admit this sounds completely over the top. However, this is the Central Intelligence Agency and they have a long history of play fast and loose with the law. All the old Cold Warriors are now retired or are retiring and the ones we coming up may have heard all the old stories and thought that the rules didn\u2019t apply to them. You also have a lot of Cover My Ass going on.<\/p>\n

We also have the people who were brought in under Obama and later Biden. We\u2019ve seen how their counterparts in the DoJ and FBI conspired to get President Trump. It\u2019s very believable that they were actively obstructing and interfering with the DNI\u2019s instructions. Is this all just another conspiracy theory? Well, we know how those have been turning out lately.<\/p>\n
