Good day all. I\u2019ve been thinking about this for a while and it looks like others have as well. We have a number of members of Congress and a few judges who are naturalized American citizens. In the past, such people were seen as absolute die hard pro-Americans. However, we\u2019ve been seeing a change in that outlook.<\/p>\n

Of late, a lot of naturalized Americans seem to have forgotten their oath of citizenship. It\u2019s very simple. When you are sworn in as a new American, you repeat these words.<\/p>\n

“I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.”<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n

I always enjoy seeing pictures and videos of people taking this oath and the look of seriousness as they take the oath and the look of absolute joy when they are welcomed as the newest American citizens. Sadly, we have a few that are literally putting other countries, the ones they are from, ahead of the United States.<\/p>\n

Such people are Ilhan Omar, Pramila Jayapal, James A. Himes and others. According to Grok, something like 26-28 current members of Congress are Naturalized citizens. An overwhelming majority are also Democrats. I also tried to find out how many federal judges are naturalized citizens, but there is no real list.<\/p>\n

A few names that Grok generated will be very familiar to people. We have Tanya S. Chutkan (Jamaica), Amit P. Mehta (India), Ana Cecilia Reyes (Uruguay), Amir H. Ali (Canada). If these names are familiar to you, it\u2019s due to their consistent rulings against President Trump and having those rulings overturned by the Supreme court.<\/p>\n

Because of these people and their antipathy the nation that took them in, Representative Nancy Mace is putting forward legislation to amend the constitution to allow only those who are native born Americans to hold elective and appointed office. Here are the details from the New York Post<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) <\/b><\/a>unveiled legislation Wednesday aiming to ban foreign-born US citizens from serving in Congress and other high levels of\u00a0 the federal government.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

The South Carolina congresswoman singled out Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.),<\/a> Shri Thanedar (D-Ill.)<\/a> and <\/b>Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) <\/b><\/a>in announcing her joint resolution to add an amendment to the US Constitution that would prohibit naturalized US citizens from becoming federal judges, holding Senate-confirmed positions or serving in the House or Senate.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cAll born in foreign countries, none were citizens by birth. All sitting in the United States Congress. All making clear every single day their loyalty is not to America,\u201d Mace said<\/a> of the trio of Democratic reps.<\/b><\/p>\n

Twenty-six House members<\/a>, including 19 Democrats and seven Republicans, were born outside of the US.\u00a0 In the upper chamber, six senators<\/a> \u2013 four Democrats and two Republicans \u2013 were born outside the US.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As I said before, I\u2019m of two minds regarding this idea. Part of me is all for it considering the trash in congress such as Ilhan Omar and Shri Thanedar. On the other hand, there are immigrants who have totally embraced America and our way of life. One of these people is Lily Tang Williams. She is currently running for congress in the state of New Hampshire. She was born in China, came to the United States in her 20\u2019s, worked hard and became a naturalized citizen. She is also for the best mic drop ever on that communist wimp, David Hogg a few years ago.<\/p>\n
