Good day all. Back in March, I posted a story<\/a> about some American communists who thought it was a good idea to show their support for the regime. There were a number of these spoiled brats who stayed in one of the special hotels the Regime maintains for rich western morons to come and spend dollars.<\/p>\n

This all happened right after Operation Yoink and the removal of Venezuelan dictator Nicholas Maduro. One of the first things that happened was all the cheap or free oil that Cuba needs was shut off. The Manhattan Marxists decided that staying in a 5 star hotel with generators, burning fuel the Cuban people actually needed was a great idea.<\/p>\n

One of these moonbats is some two legged turd named Hasan Piker. Prior to that post<\/a>, I had never heard of him. Apparently he likes to post videos on YouTube basically pushing for a communist takeover of the United States. (Among other things) Now he has a problem. The DoJ is investigating him and others for potentially violating the sanctions and embargoes in place against Cuba. Here are some of the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Federal officials have served subpoenas to Marxist political influencer Hasan Piker and CodePink cofounder Susan Medea Benjamin as part of a wider investigation into whether U.S. organizations and leaders violated U.S. laws and sanctions in supporting Cuba’s communist regime, Fox News Digital has learned.<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Piker and Benjamin are among those caught in a federal inquiry into whether activists who traveled to Cuba in March violated U.S. sanctions laws through the financing, coordination or delivery of goods to Cuba, including potential contacts with Cuban government personnel or entities on the island. The administrative subpoenas were sent to the pair by the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control<\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n

I think that it\u2019s safe to say that Piker and the others probably did break U.S. Law. The response by Piker on the subpoenas does seem to indicate that he is worried that he might just be in real trouble. According to a story in the New York Post<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Far-left streamer Hasan Piker<\/a> has been visibly rattled by the federal investigation<\/a> into whether his jaunt to Cuba<\/a> back in March violated US sanctions.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not great,\u201d Piker bluntly told his audience about the probe Sunday. \u201cI mean it\u2019s bulls\u2014, but still not great that they\u2019re after your boy. They\u2019re up my ass.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, free me. Free me,\u201d the 34-year-old riffed in response to a comment that flashed on his feed. \u201cI can\u2019t believe I\u2019m saying that. But I\u2019m about to be seemingly made an example of.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Returning to the Fox News story<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The administrative subpoenas \u2014 called “Requests for Information,” or RFI \u2014 seek financial, logistical and communications information revolving around trips the two widely bragged about making to the island nation in March with delegations of the “Nuestra Am\u00e9rica Convoy,” or “Our America Convoy,” from a global network of communist sympathizers, activists and influencers who brought supplies to the country’s ruling Communist Party of Cuba, according to sources familiar with the matter.<\/b><\/p>\n

The United States has had sanctions in place going back to 1962. There has been some minor changes, especially after Justin Trudeau\u2019s daddy, Fidel Castro, croaked. However, sanctions have not been lifted and if anything on the list was brought in without the OK from the State Department? Well someone is in big trouble.<\/p>\n

The investigation is part of a broader effort by officials at Treasury, State and Justice departments to curb malign foreign influence operations inside the United States, particularly activities tied to support for political violence, extremist movements or acts the U.S. government classifies as terrorism. The scrutiny reflects growing concern among federal authorities and lawmakers over whether foreign actors and aligned organizations are attempting to shape American political discourse, mobilize activists, sow discord and normalize rhetoric that could encourage violence or undermine U.S. national security interests.<\/b><\/p>\n

The left has been shipping the same people all over the country. Nothing was done about it under the Biden maladministration. (They were just fine with it) However, when DOGE started digging through things such as USAID, they discovered a number of payments to organizations that were…questionable. Once that money was cut off, people like George Soros and Neville Singham had to step up their payments. (There is some question on if Singham is acting as a front from the Chinese Communist government) Now we have the DoJ and FBI following the money, especially to groups like Antifa. Now they are looking at Piker and all his commie friends.<\/p>\n

According to a Fox News Digital investigation, Singham has pumped $278 million<\/a> into nonprofit groups that have pushed pro-China, pro-Cuba, anti-U.S. narratives and street protests for almost a decade, since his marriage in February 2017 to CodePink co-founder Jodie Evans, who is also being investigated for her role in the March trip. CodePink received $1.33 million from Singham after he married Evans.<\/b><\/p>\n

Code Pink entered people\u2019s consciousness about 20 years ago. They opposed the invasion of Iraq. (In hindsight, that was probably the one time they were correct). Since then they have gone further and further off the deep end supporting every country and group that wants to destroy the United States. As the Fox story said, Singham has been funneling millions into their bank accounts. This and the antics of Code Pink have attracted the attention of the DoJ and, hopefully, the IRS.<\/p>\n

In mid-March, organizations in the Singham network \u2014 from the Venceremos Brigade to People’s Forum, a hub for communist causes in New York City \u2014 were leaders of the Nuestra American Convoy, which included an estimated 650 delegates from 33 countries and 120 organizations. The organizations included Democratic Socialists of America, a U.S. nonprofit that promotes Piker as a headline member.<\/b><\/p>\n

For the purposes of this post, who care about the other countries and what they do? They aren\u2019t here and if they cause to much trouble, to the point of being an actual threat to the United States? Well, we have tools to handle that.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The investigation by the Office of Foreign Assets Control is part of a broader dragnet that includes as many as 40 American citizens who joined foreign nationals, including a controversial Brazil activist, Thiago Avila, who are part of a global network of anti-U.S. Marxists, communists and socialists. Additional subpoenas are expected.<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The administrative subpoenas mark a serious escalation by the Trump administration against a far-left nonprofit activist network that has spent years defending communist regimes, from Cuba to China, while presenting its work as humanitarian aid, anti-war organizing and “solidarity” with people “oppressed” by the “imperialist” U.S “colonial power.”<\/b><\/p>\n

That is the usual mantra of the Communists. Of course, when they do it, it\u2019s not \u201cColonialism,\u201d it\u2019s \u201cFreeing the Oppressed!\u201d Of course, they don\u2019t mention that their idea of freedom is freeing the formally oppressed of anything and everything they have including their lives. Now the DoJ is taking things seriously for the first time in decades and are taking the communists at their word, hence the subpoenas.<\/p>\n

U.S. law imposes broad restrictions on financial transactions involving Cuba, primarily through the “Cuban Asset Control Regulations,”<\/a> administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Those rules generally prohibit unlicensed travel-related transactions and the export of goods or services to Cuba, with limited exceptions for journalism, humanitarian projects, educational programs and certain activities meant to support the Cuban people.<\/b><\/p>\n

Now there are procedures available where you can get permission to bring in supplies to Cuba. Granted, it almost impossible to get a waiver, but it\u2019s not impossible. You can also just not do anything that could be a potential violation of U.S. Law. You could ask other countries that don\u2019t have any sanctions against Cuba to help. Of course, they won\u2019t, which is why I suspect they weren\u2019t asked.<\/p>\n

Piker, one of the most influential political streamers on Twitch<\/a>, has built a massive online following with a mix of Marxist politics, anti-American commentary and inflammatory statements that have repeatedly drawn public backlash.<\/b><\/p>\n

Until earlier this year, I had never heard of this loser. I don\u2019t think he is all that influential. What he is, is a phony. I understand that Piker is quite well off financially. He\u2019s just another spoiled trust fund brat. I checked Wikipedia and he was born in New Jersey, but grew up in Turkey. It sounds like he was one of those Tourist babies. His mother came to the United States. Had the little brat, got the American birth certificate and then left. I may be wrong of course.<\/p>\n

CodePink cofounder Susan Benjamin has made her mark as an activist gadfly who stages media spectacles at Congressional hearings, defense industry trade conferences and the homes of government officials, yelling invectives, chants and slogans, branding herself as “anti-war,” but actually running a pattern of messages denouncing the U.S. and uplifting communist and authoritarian regimes from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Chinese Communist Party and the Communist Party of Cuba.<\/b><\/p>\n

She\u2019s basically a traitor. Since the United States is technically not at war, charging her with treason is, sadly, a no go. However, there are any number of other things that she could potentially be charged with and violating American laws regarding Cuba is one of them. It isn\u2019t just criminal charges these commies could be hit with either.<\/p>\n

The Office of Foreign Assets Control can impose civil penalties under a “strict liability” standard, meaning the government does not have to prove intent.<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Justice Department<\/a>, by contrast, generally must show that a defendant willfully violated the law in a criminal case, often through evidence of concealment, evasion or knowing participation in prohibited transactions.<\/b><\/p>\n

I have a suspicion that the DoJ may not have to much of a problem proving criminal intent. These moonbats are not noted for being mental giants, and being the spoiled, self centered, brats that they are, I doubt they actually bothered to look into the laws. I think this is why Piker and Benjamin are feeling a bit nervous. They probably talked to lawyers and were basically told that they are screwed. They have been Fucking Around for years, and now they are entering the Find Out phase. Stay tuned!<\/p>\n
