The reality is a bit different. Enough noncitizens have been found on voting roles that the Trump DoJ has been trying to look at both voter registration lists and voting records. One of the major problems has been states with Opt Out motor voter laws. People getting drivers license were automatically enrolled to vote, many times without their knowledge. This included noncitizens, both legal resident aliens and, in a few states, illegal aliens.<\/p>\n
Most of the legal aliens never actually voted and when they discovered they had been added to voter rolls, screamed to high heaven to have their names removed. They didn\u2019t want this to hurt their plans to stay in the United States and\/or become U.S. citizens.<\/p>\n
Most states have been happy to work with the DoJ to remove erroneous entries. Some states, such as California, have not only refused, they have threatened federal law enforcement personnel and passed laws to block<\/a> the federal government from making sure elections are secure and honest. (Two things that Democrats hate)<\/p>\n Now the DoJ has decided that enough is enough, especially with noncitizens being on the voting rolls. Here are the details from the Epoch Times<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n The Department of Justice (DOJ) has sent letters to election officials across the country, warning them that they could be charged if they let noncitizens receive ballots or vote in elections.<\/b><\/p>\n \u201cAny election officer, including the chief election officer of the state, who knowingly retains noncitizens on the state\u2019s [voter list] or facilitates noncitizens in receiving and casting ballots could be subject to criminal liability,\u201d Harmeet Dhillon, the assistant attorney general for civil rights, said in the letters, which were sent on July 7.<\/b><\/p>\n Dhillon also outlined various laws that set forth requirements for state and local election officials regarding voter lists.<\/b><\/p>\n \u201cWe encourage you to contact us to discuss what steps your state should take to maintain clean voter lists as required by law,\u201d Dhillon wrote.<\/b><\/p>\n I think we can safely say that the hard left blue states, such as Kalifornistan, are going to ignore this and double down on stupid. Some of these investigations have already seen election records being seized in several states. Kalifornistan, and a few other states with poor election reputations for honest elections, have been fighting the DoJ in court in front of COB judges.<\/p>\n A DOJ spokesperson told The Epoch Times in an email, \u201cThe Department sent these letters to all 50 states and the District of Columbia, asking for voluntary compliance in a timely manner with their obligations under federal law to ensure only citizens vote in federal elections.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n This is pretty standard. A polite request for information. Many states will be happy to work with the DoJ and may actually welcome the assistance. Other states? Not so much.<\/p>\n Several dozen, including Utah, have declined to comply with the request, sparking legal action from the department. Judges have so far ruled against the agency, including a judge who in June said<\/a> the request sought data that falls outside of records that the federal government may require states to produce.<\/b><\/p>\n Considering what has already been discovered, I have a suspicion that this judge, who is a Bush judge in New Hampshire, is probably going to be overturned. Honestly, the judicial branch has not been covering itself in glory for the last few decades if not longer and I feel that a day of reckoning may be coming.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Utah Lt. Gov. Deidre Henderson said in a post on Threads that she received one of the letters from Dhillon.<\/b><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sure I\u2019m not the only chief election officer of a state who is being targeted for following state and federal laws by resisting DOJ\u2019s demands for private voter data that have thus far been ruled illegal by at least a dozen courts,\u201d Henderson said. \u201cThis is truly bizarre behavior by the federal agency that is supposed to be protecting civil rights.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n You might want to consider that noncitizens voting violates the civil rights of American citizens. There was yet another noncitizen, one who has been in the United States legally for years, who was just arrested for voting<\/a> in multiple elections. As for those judges? Almost all of them are Obama and Biden judges, and, frankly, flat out can\u2019t be trusted to uphold the constitution or the law if it goes against the Democrat Party\u2019s goals of gaining absolute power. (Yes, I\u2019m going over the top here. Why do you ask?)<\/p>\n Dhillon also said on July 7 that the DOJ will send election monitors to six states\u2014Arizona, Michigan, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, and Virginia\u2014during primary elections this year.<\/b><\/p>\n As a resident of New Hampshire, I\u2019m curious about why the DoJ is sending monitors up here. New Hampshire requires ID to vote. It\u2019s been decades since I needed to register, so I\u2019m not up on any changes. I do know that there is same day registration and that can be a bit of a problem. The other states? Oh they\u2019ve all got some major issues going on, so that doesn\u2019t surprise me. I\u2019m curious on why Kalifornistan, New York and Illinois are not on the list.<\/p>\n The monitors will be focused on issues such as access to polls for disabled voters and whether voting locations are open for the amount of time that is required under federal law.<\/b><\/p>\n OK then. I still don\u2019t see this as a major issue for New Hampshire. My local polling place is in a school and those are all set up for ease of access as are all of the others as far as I am aware. Making sure the polls open and close on time? Same deal. I don\u2019t know of any issues in the past, but I could be mistaken.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s also important to make sure that our voting is accurate so that every citizen who votes has their vote counted equally without being canceled out by somebody who shouldn\u2019t be voting,\u201d Dhillon said in a video statement.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
