<\/p>\nGood day all. One of the major policies president Trump has been pushing is securing elections. Part of this was the SAVE Act, which hasn\u2019t passed the Senate thanks to John Thune, the Democrats and the RINO\u2019s who are ignoring that most people want it passed. Then there is the problem of noncitizens who are registered to vote.<\/p>\n

Recently, New Jersey was forced to admit<\/a> that they had found at least 6500 people who were registered to vote who were not American citizens. Other states, some actively working with the Federal government, have also found noncitizens on the voter rolls. In most cases, these people had no idea that they were registered and never voted. Some did. Then we have Kalifornistan.<\/p>\n When it comes to illegal aliens, potential voter and election fraud and sheer incompetence, Kalifornistan is, if not at the top of the list, then very close to it. They have been fighting the Trump Administration over cleaning their voter rolls of ineligible people. Now it\u2019s come out that Kalifornistan doesn\u2019t know how many noncitizens are on the roles and has no policy to investigate illegal voting. Here are the details from the Federalist<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n For years, Americans have been told that concerns about noncitizens voting are a myth, a right-wing talking point unworthy of serious attention. California\u2019s own secretary of state and attorney general have proven otherwise, however, not by admitting the state has no idea whether, or how often, it\u2019s even happening, but by indicating the state isn\u2019t bothering to track it.<\/b><\/p>\n A few weeks ago, the ACLJ submitted two California Public Records Act (CPRA) requests \u2014 one to the California secretary of state<\/a> and one to Attorney Genera<\/a>l Rob Bonta\u2019s office<\/a> \u2014 seeking records on how the state maintains the integrity of its voter rolls. The Attorney General\u2019s Office took an extension, ultimately responding on Aug. 10.<\/b><\/p>\n And the response? Considering that it\u2019s Kalifornistan, it was about what you would expect.<\/p>\n The Secretary of State\u2019s Office responded first, but refused to provide any records responsive to our request. According to its answer<\/a>, the statewide voter registration system simply \u201cdoes not contain\u201d a specific cancellation reason for non-citizenship. In other words, the state cannot tell us how many noncitizens have ever been removed from its voter rolls \u2014 because it doesn\u2019t keep that information at all.<\/b><\/p>\n I know that there are legal resident aliens who never registered to vote, at least not knowingly, who, when they found out, were very loud to get their names off the voter lists. They all know that voting in American elections as noncitizens is a great way to be booted from the country. These registrations happen enough that the Immigration service doesn\u2019t hold it against the immigrants as long as they never voted. Why? The opt-out registration systems in place in many states under the Motor Voter laws.<\/p>\n The Federalist then goes into what their actual requests were and what the responses were. The responses show that California has no interest in securing their elections. The responses were things like how many registrations were canceled because the people weren\u2019t citizens. The answer? Basically, we don\u2019t know. The fourth question was the outcomes of investigations into illegal voting. The response should anger anyone who believes in and wants fair and honest elections.<\/p>\n California said it simply \u201cdoes not maintain\u201d those statistics.<\/b><\/p>\n The Federalist then put in a second FOIA request, and the responses were even worst than the first ones. I really recommend that you go to the Federalist story and review<\/a> just how bad the state\u2019s responses were. Additionally, it looks like the State of California is actually breaking federal law.<\/p>\n The problem for California? Federal law requires every state to maintain records showing how it safeguards the accuracy of its voter rolls and to make those records available to the public. Specifically, the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), 52 U.S.C. \u00a7 20507<\/a>, requires each state to retain, for at least two years, and make available for public inspection, records showing<\/a> how it works to keep its official voter rolls accurate and current.<\/b><\/p>\n But California\u2019s secretary of state just admitted in writing that it keeps no such records regarding the removal of noncitizens from its rolls.
