Good day. The Saga of ActBlue<\/a> has been ongoing since President Trump returned to office and is now being investigated by the Department of Justice. Their officers have also been raked over the coals by various oversight committees in Congress. With all that\u2019s going on, you would think that the Democrats would move away from them.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

You would be sadly mistaken. ActBlue\u2019s money laundering system is way to valuable to the Democrats to give up that source of funds, especially since the DNC is basically dead broke. Even with the potential for criminal charges, the Democrats are still taking their money. Here are the details from the Daily Caller<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Many progressive 2026 candidates continue to accept campaign funds through ActBlue despite ongoing congressional inquiries and allegations from Democratic donors that something suspicious is happening on the mega-fundraising platform.<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Recipients of the funds include not only Democratic national figures such as New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed, but also more than 9,000 candidates<\/a> in state, county and school district elections.<\/b><\/p>\n

I am absolutely not surprised that Sanders and AOC are taking money from an organization that has a long and shady history. Like all communists, they are the \u201cEnds always justifies the means,\u201d and for them, the ends is keeping their seats in congress, and anything that can help with that is justified.<\/p>\n

However, a late-July video sheds new light on investigations and Republican complaints of corruption after ActBlue cited an 88-year-old woman living in a Michigan mobile home as having donated more than $150,000 in 1,500 donations over the last five years, according to a video<\/a> by Michigan Enjoyer.<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cHell no. I don\u2019t have that kind of money,\u201d Elizabeth Waffle said, later adding that she is living in the trailer as her house had burned down two years ago, and even accepted money from the reporter who offered to pay for her to get her overgrown lawn mowed after she complained she wouldn\u2019t have the money to do so.<\/b><\/p>\n

Waffle said that she had used ActBlue on several occasions, but that \u201c$150,000 is very abnormal, I think it\u2019s wrong, there\u2019s something in there that\u2019s off.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

There have been many accusations of ActBlue using fake donors, but those were learned about under the Biden Maladministration. The Garland DoJ had no intention of investigating the claims. It was only the reelection of the Greatest President in the 21st<\/sup> Century, Donald Trump, that got investigations started. It\u2019s only been a couple of months since this video came out, but I won\u2019t be at all surprised if FBI investigators have spoken to Ms. Waffle and are using this as the information they\u2019ll need to secure the proper warrants and subpoenas.<\/p>\n

Since 2004, ActBlue has raised<\/a> more than $19 billion in donations for almost exclusively Democratic and progressive candidates, but over the last two years has faced joint House committee investigations alleging illicit foreign donations and the failure to prevent fraud in the company.<\/b><\/p>\n

Almost exclusively? What is this almost thing? Perhaps they\u2019re referring to Comrade Bernie Sanders since, technically, he isn\u2019t a Democrat. As to the foreign donations part? One of the things that was discovered regarding ActBlue\u2019s online donation system was that they had deliberately disabled all the systems used to verify things like a donor\u2019s actual location.<\/p>\n

A joint interim staff report from the Committee on House Administration, the House Judiciary Committee and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform determined<\/a> that ActBlue had become \u201cmore lenient\u201d on fraud despite allegedly being rife with it.<\/b><\/p>\n

The committees reached that conclusion after finding internal documents suggesting that ActBlue executives and staff were exploiting the platform and had taken steps to hide those changes, with staff instructed to \u201clook for reasons to accept contributions.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

So what are you going to do about this? When are the indictments being handed down?<\/p>\n

In 2026, the same committees released<\/a> a second part of the joint interim staff report that revealed the legal and compliance teams had left the company after the 2024 election and that the five current or former ActBlue employees pleaded the Fifth a total of 146 times during their depositions.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cPut simply: every member of ActBlue\u2019s legal and compliance team appears to have left the platform after the 2024 election because of its \u2018knowing and willful\u2019 acceptance of illegal foreign contributions, and the subsequent cover-up,\u201d the committee\u2019s report said.<\/b><\/p>\n

I wrote about the resignations<\/a> as part of a general post on their problems. I also made a prediction that ActBlue would be shut down by the end of the year. (2025) So much for my career as a prognosticator. Regarding the current issues with their joke of a verification system, ActBlue issued a denial.<\/p>\n

In response, ActBlue released a statement<\/a> denying allegations that the donation platform had obstructed the committee\u2019s inquiry and claimed it had gone above what was legally required to cooperate with the House.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cActBlue is a safe and secure fundraising platform that enables millions of Americans to participate at a grassroots level in the most fundamental pillar of our society: elections,\u201d the statement read. \u201cFor 21 years, we\u2019ve been a vital part of the infrastructure of our democracy.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Despite these allegations, no major Democrat had stepped back from ActBlue, continuing to fund their campaigns, with some Democratic lawmakers suggesting the criticism of the fundraising giant was hypocritical while suggesting that the Right is ignoring fraud found in Republican fundraising, while others argued that targeting ActBlue was just an act of racism targeting the group\u2019s Black founder and CEO.<\/b><\/p>\n

When the Democrats throw out the \u201cWell the Republicans are doing it too, what about them?\u201d and don\u2019t bother providing any evidence, you know they\u2019re really worried. The GOP is doing something that the Democrats avoid like the plague. They\u2019re bringing receipts.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know what the various investigations are doing. You have the Federal one, and I think there is enough \u201cThere\u201d there that they should be lowering the boom on them. I know that several states were also looking into ActBlue. One of the investigations is now dead. This was one by the previous AG in Virginia and the current one is a corrupt thug and is busy going after Republicans and \u201cEnemies of the Party.\u201d We also had the Blonde Blunder as Attorney General. She was just incompetent. Perhaps the new AG, Todd Blanche will finally go after them. We shall see.<\/p>\n
