Diamond declined to disqualify the entire district attorney’s office.

I don’t know much about the Dennis Johnson case. Usually, this happens when new evidence is found showing that the convict didn’t actually do the crime, or that the case was badly mangled by the State when he was tried and hes showing that his rights were violated. However, since this is Krasner? He was probably doing his “Free the guilty and punish the Republicans” bit again.

Krasner, a liberal prosecutor whose campaigns have received backing from billionaire George Soros, said Tuesday he “respectfully and vigorously disagree[s]” with Diamond’s findings and plans to appeal “as soon as the law allows,” according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. Newsmax provides some details.

The controversy stems from a 2022 filing in which Krasner’s office conceded Johnson was entitled to federal habeas relief because his trial attorney had been ineffective. Five members of Krasner’s office testified against their boss? That tells me a few things. First, that they aren’t on board with his soft on crime policies. Second, I think it shows that there are a few ethical individuals remaining in the D.A.’s office. Third, it looks like this Stiegler character was going to not just throwing one of the staff under the buss, but was going to literally manufacture evidence to get that staffer and get the criminal out of prison.

According to Diamond’s findings, Stiegler proposed searching former Assistant District Attorney Jaclyn Mason’s other cases for mistakes so she could be portrayed as a “rogue” prosecutor responsible for errors in the concession filing.

First, honest prosecutors, (And yes, there are some out there), are human and they do make mistakes. The honest and ethical ones will acknowledge the error and move to correct it once they become aware of it. If they aren’t aware of the mistake, and you try to use that to call that prosecutor a “Rogue” prosecutor? Yeah that’s not going to work the way you think it will.

Krasner later called that a “really good idea” and urged four supervisors to pursue it, Diamond wrote. At worst?

Diamond said the alleged threat “could amount to obstruction of justice,” while Krasner and Stiegler’s alleged effort to persuade prosecutors to present a false account “might amount to criminal conspiracy.”

Now a referral to the DoJ is not n actual criminal charge. Judges are limited in actually ordering someone arrested. We have a number of criminal referrals from Congress to the DoJ that have yet to be acted on. However, this is from a sitting judge and it looks like there is witness testimony and hard evidence to back up his referral. This is all on top of other issues that Krasner is facing.

The case comes amid broader scrutiny of Krasner’s handling of post-conviction cases. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled in May that the state attorney general must be notified when Krasner’s office seeks to overturn certain convictions, citing what the court described as repeated failures of candor by the office.

I mentioned that at the beginning of this post. Krasner is a corrupt and evil individual who puts criminals and illegal aliens ahead of low abiding citizens and legal resident aliens. Frankly, the state of Pennsylvania should have removed Krasner from office some time ago. Apparently, this was tried before against Krasner and he was protected by the Commonwealth Court claiming that you can’t impeach and removes a sitting DA over “Policy differences.”

Somehow, I think a criminal referral to the United States Department of Justice by a federal judge might carry a bit more weight this time.
