Good evening all. Angry Webmaster here. Last week the first tissue paper wall in Obamacare was torn open and the Obama Administration gave up on the CLASS Act. There is one small problem though. No one told Obama.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

What is the CLASS act? It was a really bad idea jammed into Obamacare by a really bad Senator, now happily deceased. From Ezra Klein’s Wonk Blog<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cCLASS\u201d stands \u2014 or stood \u2014 for \u201cCommunity Living Assistance Services and Supports.\u201d The idea was simple, or seemed to be: a voluntary insurance program that would cover home health-care options for adults who become disabled. It was Sen. Ted Kennedy\u2019s brainchild, but the White House was cool to it in public and hostile in private. \u201cSeems like a recipe for disaster to me,\u201d wrote one aide in a subsequently released e-mail.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The problem with this program was that people had to pay into it for something like 5 years before they could collect anything. Also it was “Voluntary” so people would have to want to join it. Of course, no one was stupid enough to do so.<\/p>\n

The problem with CLASS was well understood. It frontloaded its savings and backloaded its costs.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In other words, because people were paying into it and not collecting from it, it would look like it was saving people money. The problem would be in 10 years when all that money ran out. Then the costs would skyrocket.<\/p>\n

I won’t bother with all the politics of getting Dead Ted’s ((Fatboy finally kicks the bucket<\/a>)) stupid idea ((Dead Ted had good ideas?<\/strong>)) into Obamacare. Read what Klein has to say on the subject. What matters is, the Obama administration finally admitted this thing was a total failure and pulled the plug on it.<\/p>\n

The Republicans though this would be a slam dunk to repeal. It was shown to be a waste of money and an outright fraud. Even Obama would agree to this.<\/p>\n

Think again.<\/p>\n

From The Hill’s Healthwatch<\/a>:<\/p>\n

President Obama is against repealing the health law’s long-term-care CLASS Act and might veto Republican efforts to do so, an administration official tells The Hill, despite the government’s announcement Friday that the program was dead in the water.<\/p>\n

“We do not support repeal,” the official said Monday. “Repealing the CLASS Act isn’t necessary or productive. What we should be doing is working together to address the long-term care challenges we face in this country.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Judging from this, Obama is back on the coke again. ((Obama admits to using drugs<\/a>)) That’s the only logical excuse for this mind numbingly stupid announcement. Of course, this IS the Obama administration.<\/p>\n

“Following longstanding procedures,” Elmendorf wrote, “CBO takes new administrative actions into account when analyzing legislation being considered by the Congress \u2014 even if it has not published new baseline projections. Beginning immediately, therefore, legislation to repeal the CLASS provisions in current law would be estimated as having no budgetary impact.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, why should we repeal something that won’t work and that we aren’t going to implement? Let’s just leave this on the books in case we decided to come back to it.<\/p>\n

Actually I think the real reason is simple. Obama can’t admit his entire plan is a complete failure that an overwhelming majority of the people hated from the get go. The megalomaniac in chief refuses to believe that the taxpayers think nationalizing 1\/6th of the economy is a really stupid idea.<\/p>\n

In his twisted mind, he is the smartest man on Earth and we’re just misguided morons needing his benevolent community organizational skills to find our way to Socialist nirvana.<\/p>\n

In other words, he is delusional.<\/p>\n

In the Senate, Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) has a bill to repeal the CLASS Act that has attracted 32 Republican co-sponsors. In the House, Rep. Charles Boustany (R-La.) has a similar bill with 48 co-sponsors, including Democratic Rep. Dan Lipinski of Illinois.<\/p>\n

Even the Democrats are beginning to understand that Obamacare is the most detested piece of legislation to come out of Washington in living memory. I don’t think even the civil rights stuff of the late 50’s and early to mid 60’s was as despised as Obamacare. The problem is that Obama and the true believers on the left won’t let anything happen to “Their baby.”<\/p>\n

So, even if this bill gets through both houses, it won’t have enough to override Obama’s veto. We’re going to have to wait until that corrupt, incompetent communist is dragged out of office in 2013.<\/p>\n

Of course, we can still try and infiltrate Obama’s rigged “Town Meetings” and when presented the chance to ask him a question, verbally rip him a new one…In a respectful manner of course. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
