In 2008, Barack Hussein Obama was elected President after the housing bubble imploded. In addition the Democrats were given a filibuster proof majority in the Senate. The Republican Party was essentially out and might as well have stayed home for all the good they could do.<\/p>\n
With the hardcore left in control of the government, spending and regulation exploded out of control. The economy basically has crashed and is getting worse. Anyone with a brain would see that the immense amount of regulations and spending weren\u2019t working, but no one anticipated in 2008 that Obama was a communist.<\/p>\n
Actually I did along with 48% of the voters. We can thank Joe The Plumber ((Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher<\/a>)) for showing us that Obama is a true believer in communism and detests the United States. Since Obama took office he has appointed other true believers who have been doing everything they can to crush the economy.<\/p>\n The first thing they did was take advantage of the Gulf Oil Spill ((Deepwater Horizon oil spill<\/a>)) in 2010 and shut down virtually all oil exploration and drilling. The Obama Administration has been told in no uncertain terms that the actions of Ken Salazar<\/a> in blocking oil drilling were illegal. ((U.S. in Contempt Over Gulf Drill Ban, Judge Rules<\/a>)) Obama and his thugs flat out don\u2019t care what the courts say and have yet to allow drilling to any great extent. Now the drilling rigs are leaving the Gulf of Mexico<\/a>.<\/p>\n Recently, (So to speak) the Oil Companies have been exploiting a new oil find in Ohio….Or they have been trying to. The oil is in shale rock and can only be pumped out using a technique called \u201cFrakking.\u201d ((Hydraulic Fracturing<\/a>)) The process is controversial. Opponents have been claiming that the process is contaminating the water supply, causing earthquakes and might cause the Earth to spin out of orbit and plummet into the Sun. Ok, I\u2019m exaggerating a bit but the environmentalists have been making some of these claims in order to stop any use of the technology.<\/p>\n Well, they have succeeded.<\/p>\n Recently, the Obama Administration has put a stop to exploiting the new oil fields in Ohio. The Washington Examiner<\/a> wrote up an article by Joel Gehrke. The article is titled: Obama USDA delays shale drilling, up to 200k jobs.<\/p>\n President Obama’s United States Department of Agriculture has delayed shale gas drilling in Ohio for up to six months by cancelling a mineral lease auction for Wayne National Forest (WNF). The move was taken in deference to environmentalists, on the pretext of studying the effects of hydraulic fracturing.<\/p>\n \u201cConditions have changed since the 2006 Forest Plan was developed,” announced<\/a> WNF Supervisor Anne Carey on Tuesday. “The technology used in the Utica & Marcellus Shale formations need to be studied to see if potential effects to the surface are significantly different than those identified in the Forest Plan.” The study will take up to six months to complete. The WNF study reportedly “will focus solely on how it could affect forest land,” despite the significance of hydraulic fracturing to united proponents of the delay, “and not how it could affect groundwater.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n This is pure bull. The oil companies have been studying and developing the Frakking technology for years with two things in mind. First, getting the oil out of the ground as cheaply as possible, and second, not causing any irreparable harm to the environment.<\/p>\n The last thing the oil companies need is to ignore things like this. British Petroleum was hammered for their apparent carelessness with the Deepwater Horizons fiasco. Now I understand there were a few problems early on when the Frakking process was being developed but they have since been resolved. The actual process takes place thousands of feet underground, way below the water table.<\/p>\n Of course, this means nothing to the Moonbat Environmentalist Whackos.<\/p>\n Speaking of the WNF gas drilling, one environmentalist group spokesman suggested that moving forward with drilling “could turn the Ohio Valley into Ozone Alley,” even though Wayne National Forest already has nearly 1300 oil and gas wells in operation which this study does not affect.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n In case you haven\u2019t figured it out yet, these people detest things like the Free Enterprise system, liberty and humans in general.<\/p>\n “The President\u2019s plan is to simply say \u2018no\u2019 to new energy production,” House Natural Resources Committee chairman Doc Hastings, R-Wash, said to Interior Secretary Ken Salazar during a hearing pertaining to hydraulic fracturing. “It\u2019s a plan that is sending American jobs overseas, forfeiting new revenue, and denying access to American energy that would lessen our dependence on hostile Middle Eastern oil.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Salazar has proven he doesn\u2019t give a damn about anything but hugging trees.<\/p>\n Salazar denied that suggestion, noting the sales of mineral leases over the last two years, but he also affirmed<\/a> environmentalist concerns. “The increasing use of hydraulic fracturing has raised a number of concerns about the potential impacts on water quality and availability, particularly with respect to the chemical composition of fracturing fluids and the methods used.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Actually, it hasn\u2019t. Obama, Salazar and the other Communists are using this as yet another excuse to shut down the energy sector. Previously, the EPA put through onerous regulations that will have the effect of shutting down coal production as well as shutting down coal fired power plants.<\/p>\n The power plant owners asked to have a more realistic time-line to put in upgrades or build out new plants, but Obama wasn\u2019t having any of that. The end result of all this will be rolling blackouts unless Obama is stopped.<\/p>\n At this point, the only way this will happen is if the state governors get together and flat out ignore the new regs and instruct the energy producers to continue on, and that they will protect them from Federal bullies. This could go as far as to deploying state police and National Guard troops at affected sites with orders to stop Federal Authorities from interfering.<\/p>\n This would start a Constitutional Crises, and frankly I think we need to do this. If you recall back in 2010, Governor Jindal, (R-La) ((Bobby Jindal<\/a>)) was so enraged by the actions of Obama and his thugs that at one point there was talk of his sending State Police to arrest the Coast Guard.<\/p>\n I\u2019ve said it before and I\u2019ll say it again. We\u2019re at a dangerous point in this country. People are now talking about a potential civil war, and they aren\u2019t the \u201cUsual Suspect\u201d ((Flaming lunatics on the left and right)). These are people who are horrified at what is happening to our country and the corruption and criminality of the Obama administration.
