On the plus side, Anger Central has managed to get at least 2 women out of possible serious harm. ((The ladies in question contacted the Angry Webmaster directly<\/strong>))<\/p>\n Recently, the Webmaster started looking for a new Real World Job. The company that hired him back in 2008 was sold a year ago and the Webmaster is the only permanent employee left from his original group. He\u2019s been told that his job can\u2019t be guaranteed much past March. Needless to say he\u2019s very nervous. He\u2019s told me he\u2019s had only two face to face interviews in the last year and about a dozen telephone interviews. We\u2019re all worried for him if this job ends. He never really recovered from the 2008 year of hell when he was out for almost 10 months. This time, thanks to the current depression, he may not be able to find anything and could lose everything.<\/p>\n On the back end, things have not been smooth sailing either. Last year, Hosting Matters ran a special and we all decided that it would be a good time to update the service levels, and apparently not a moment to soon! Our bandwidth usage has doubled in the last year and appears to be slowly climbing. We\u2019re beginning to see more and more people stop in and say hello, as well as the occasional troll dropping turds in the comments section. ((Which is one reason we don\u2019t allow anonymous posts to the comments)) All comments are vetted before being allowed up, same as the postings that come in from the add page<\/a>.<\/p>\n Also, for the first time, Anger Central actually paid for its self. We have been running ads through several advertising aggregaters and actually made just enough to break even on the hosting bill. Of course we don\u2019t make enough to actually pay the help. Considering that we aren\u2019t able to use Google\u2019s Adsense, this is rather remarkable. We did lose one aggregater, but the other 3 are actually doing better for us.<\/p>\n In the last year we\u2019ve also set up a Google+ page. Actually we did this twice since Google killed the original page due to their demands that only \u201creal people\u201d create anything on the internet. We also have a Facebook fan page<\/a> as well as the Angry Webmaster\u2019s personal Facebook page<\/a>.<\/p>\n And now, the stats.<\/p>\n Due to space issues, we didn\u2019t keep statistics originally. When we upgraded our hosting service that no longer became an issue and I started keeping them. The stats go back to August and I plan on having them going all this year.<\/p>\n First, the Statistics for December.<\/p>\n We had 24,137 unique visits out of 36.162 visits in total.<\/p>\n 111,534 pages were viewed and we had a total of 1,029,024 hits. (Whatever that means)<\/p>\n It looks like December 16th<\/sup> was the busiest day of the month with 1,368 visits.<\/p>\n The top country for visits was the United States, (No surprise there), and the bottom of the pile was Italy. I\u2019ve created a graphic for you to view below.<\/p>\n Visiting nations<\/p><\/div>\n It looks like the main blog page was the most visited part of Anger Central. This was followed by the RSS feed we use for the main site\u2019s posts. It also looks like there are people who are angry at fat people and a bunch of really pissed off wives as well. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n The majority of systems viewing Anger Central were Windows based with Apple coming in a very distant second. That was followed by Linux users and then we have a mix of Blackberry and other Smart Phones.<\/p>\n The preferred browser was Internet Explorer with Firefox running a close second. Google Chrome was fourth behind Safari. Then there were the usual mishmash of other browsers.<\/p>\n For the year, such as it was, we saw a near doubling of visitors starting in August. It\u2019s been fairly levels since then, although I do see a slow creeping upwards. (Hey, the more the merrier I say)<\/p>\n As to what the new year will bring? I have no idea. Hopefully the Angry Webmaster will be able to leave his job on his terms for a change rather than the usual \u201cGet out and don\u2019t let the door knob hit you on the ass when you leave.\u201d However, since Mrs. Webmaster is heading back to China for 4 months, and with one exception, the Webmaster has lost his job when she has been out of the country, well…<\/p>\n So there you have it. (The News archives are missing and I\u2019m pulling out the backups as I write this) Anger Central also started up a blog, primarily for the Webmaster to vent his spleen, although I also post on occasion.
