Good day, as the headline shows, the \u201cReligion of Peace ((The Religion of Peace?<\/a>))\u201d in the guise if the nut cases running Iran, is ready to launch terror attacks against American citizens.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I first saw this on Hot Air this morning<\/a> and started looking into it. They posted a link back to the originating story on the Washington Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

U.S. intelligence agencies believe that Iran is prepared to launch terrorist attacks inside the United States in response to perceived threats from America and its allies, the U.S. spy chief said Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper Jr. said in prepared testimony<\/a> that an alleged Iranian plot <\/a>to assassinate the Saudi ambassador in Washington that was uncovered last year reflects an aggressive new willingness within the upper ranks of the Islamist republic to authorize attacks against the United States.<\/p>\n

That plot \u201cshows that some Iranian officials \u2014 probably including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei \u2014 have changed their calculus and are now more willing to conduct an attack in the United States in response to real or perceived U.S. actions that threaten the regime,\u201d Clapper said in the testimony, which was submitted to the Senate Intelligence Committee in advance of a threat assessment hearing Tuesday<\/a>. \u201cWe are also concerned about Iranian plotting against U.S. or allied interests overseas.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This would be the height of suicidal stupidity of the Iranian regime, but having a grasp of reality is not something they have ever been known for. For decades, Iran has been waging a war by proxy against the Unites States, pretty much since the Shah was deposed in 1979. ((Thank You Jimmy Carter<\/a>)) The bombing of the Marine Barracks ((Terrorist Attack on Marine Barracks<\/a>)) in Beirut, Lebanon back in 1983 was probably bankrolled and planned by Iran. Recently, Iran has been aiding the Taliban and the Islamic insurgents in Iraq.<\/p>\n

So why is this report coming out? Mainly this is due to the Iran\u2019s working on developing a nuclear weapon. The United States and now Europe are trying to get Iran to dismantle their nuclear weapons program before either Israel, The United States or both nations decide that a military attack is the only recourse.<\/p>\n

Now a large number of people, primarily on the left as well as all Ron Paul supporters, don\u2019t see a problem with a nuclear armed Iran. After all, The United States, France, Israel, Pakistan, India, Britain, Russia and China all have them as well. There\u2019s just one teensy weensy problem with that type of thinking. Even in the depths of the Cold War, at the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis, neither the United States or the Soviet Union wanted to blow up the world. Both sides were ready to, but both worked towards a solution to the problem.<\/p>\n

Iran is run by fanatics who have flat out stated that once they have nuclear weapons, they will use them. Their first target will be Israel followed by the United States and then Europe. The only reason they would delay such an attack is logistical. They will want enough bombs and the time to get them into the United States to cause as much damage and confusion as they can. Israel is in missile range and Iran will use those against them.<\/p>\n

Now why would these lunatics want to do this?<\/p>\n

The theocratic clique running the show are true believers in the Twelfth Imam and the need for a conflagration to produce him, and the promised result of Islamic rule throughout the world. Starting a war with the US won\u2019t bother them as they believe that (a) the Muslim world will find itself in such a conflict anyway, and\/or (b) they can hasten the arrival of the mahdi<\/em> by kicking one off. Now if Iran actually did this, and managed to hit Israel and probably destroy Washington in a nuclear attack, what might the reality be? How about the annihilation of the middle east and most of the Islamic world? The Iranian missiles aren\u2019t accurate enough for a counterforce ((Counterforce Theory<\/a>)) strike on the Israeli Jericho missile silos so if Israel were hit, they would remove the Arab world from existence. Not just Iran would be blasted, but every Arab city and military installation within range of their nuclear strike force would be hit.<\/p>\n

That wouldn\u2019t include what the United States would do. By the time the nuking was over, most of the Islamic world would be rendered into radioactive ash, glass and fallout. The surviving Muslims in the target areas would be dying of radiation poisoning, blast and heat effects, disease and starvation. Those in areas not hit would more than likely be rounded up and either placed in camps, or deported to the dead countries to make do as best as they could.<\/p>\n

If you want an idea of what the United States and the world in general could turn into, you should read the novel by Tom Kratman <\/a>called Caliphate<\/a>. He sets up a scenario similar to what I\u2019m writing about and what could happen. Another writer would be Lee Boyland <\/a>and his trilogy on a similar nuclear attack on the United States by the Islamic fruitcakes.<\/p>\n

With the current administration, I really don\u2019t expect anything that will actually protect the United States. Obama is in the process of gutting our military and in a nuclear attack that destroyed one or more cities, I don\u2019t see him actually doing anything to retaliate.<\/p>\n
