Good afternoon, Maine just held it\u2019s caucus yesterday and Mittens Obomney won, breaking Santorum\u2019s winning streak.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Big whoop.<\/p>\n

Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich didn\u2019t campaign in Maine, and didn\u2019t have that much of an infrastructure on the ground. Crazy Uncle Ron Paul did campaign and almost defeated \u201cHis Inevitableness.\u201d In fact, once again the Not Obomney vote outweighed the Obomney vote by a wide margin.<\/p>\n

Mitt Romney 2,190 39.2%
\nRon Paul 1,996 35.7%
\nRick Santorum 9891 7.7%
\nNewt Gingrich 349 6.2%
\nOther 611 .1%<\/p>\n

But never fear! Mittens won the CPAC straw poll with a whopping 38%! WooHoo!<\/p>\n

And therein lies the rub. Even at CPAC, with Ann Coulter<\/a> performing fellatio ((Fellatio explained, NSFW<\/a>)) on anyone who would vote for Obomney, he still couldn\u2019t top 40%, and Ron Paul didn\u2019t put in an appearance. Since he wasn\u2019t there, the Ronbots didn\u2019t bother to rig the vote like the last two times. ((Ron Paul wins CPAC straw poll in 2010 & 2011<\/a>))<\/p>\n

Maine is a New England state and it would be a major surprise for Obomney to lose up here. Still, Obomney hasn\u2019t yet broken 50% in any primary or Caucus. Now the western states are queuing up for their turn and generally they do not trust Mittens Obomney. The see him as a Massachusetts RINO who doesn\u2019t represent them. They were burned in their support for Scott Brown, and now they have other choices.<\/p>\n

Me, I\u2019m still hoping for a brokered convention. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
