<\/a>Good day all. Once again, Mayor Michael Bloomberg has made another one of his totalitarian decrees. In this case, he has decided that people will no longer be allowed to by supersized soft drinks. Bloomberg has a long history of elitist\/totalitarian views, along with a firm belief that the rules he rams down other people\u2019s throats do not apply to him. In this case, the mayor with the Napoleon complex wants to ban any drink with sugar in it over 16oz.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Here are some of the details. First, from the New York Times<\/a>:<\/p>\n New York City plans to enact a far-reaching ban on the sale of large sodas and other sugary drinks at restaurants, movie theaters and street carts, in the most ambitious effort yet by the Bloomberg administration<\/a> to combat rising obesity.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Did anyone bother to ask the citizens of NYC about this? Are you kidding? Bloomberg and his elitist friends can\u2019t be bothered to actually talk with the peons about what they might want.<\/p>\n The measure would not apply to diet sodas, fruit juices, dairy-based drinks like milkshakes, or alcoholic beverages; it would not extend to beverages sold in grocery or convenience stores.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n So, I can still buy quart of scotch, or a nice, supersized, (Or in the case of Michael Moore, small), sugar laden milkshake?<\/p>\n Here\u2019s what His Royal Shortness has to say.<\/p>\n \u201cObesity is a nationwide problem, and all over the United States, public health officials are wringing their hands saying, \u2018Oh, this is terrible,\u2019 \u201d Mr. Bloomberg said in an interview on Wednesday in the Governor\u2019s Room at City Hall.<\/p>\n \u201cNew York City is not about wringing your hands; it\u2019s about doing something,\u201d he said. \u201cI think that\u2019s what the public wants the mayor to do.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n How about we start with the fat sitting on top of your shoulders moron? This utter insanity is yet another in a long list of totalitarian abuses by this scumbag. Mayor Bloomberg has gone after things like:<\/p>\n Bloomberg is one of those people that despises anyone enjoying themselves. He firmly believes that since he is rich, he is automatically smarter than everyone else. He is also a complete hypocrite. Apparently there is a court ordered curfew on helicopter landings at the East 34th<\/sup> street helipad. ((Mike catches heli over post-curfew landings<\/a>)) Bloomberg can\u2019t be bothered with curfews and court orders and has been photographed violating the curfew repeatedly.<\/p>\n As to firearms and self defense, Bloomberg goes off the deep end. In his world, he would send out the police and military to confiscate every privately owned firearm in the country. He has been repeatedly chastised regarding sending out \u201cinvestigators ((Breaking The Law In The Name Of The Law))\u201d to try and catch gun stores doing straw purchases ((Straw purchase<\/a>)).<\/p>\n When it comes to the peons being able to protect themselves from criminals, Der Fuhrer is totally opposed to the idea. In his mind, the self defense laws along with the \u201cStand your ground\u201d laws are nothing more than a license to kill. It has to go before the Bureau or Rubber Stamps<\/em><\/span> New York City Health Department for hearings and then they will issue the latest diktat from the megalomaniacal midget. Isn\u2019t any wonder people are voting with their feet and leaving New York for areas that value individual rights and freedoms?
