Good day one and all. Once again, His Royal Stupidness, Mayor Michael Bloomberg of the blacked out and underwater City of New York has once again shown the world just what he thinks of “the little people.” As usual, not much at all. As you know, last week the East Coast was hit by Hurricane Sandy, and the storm pretty much scored a direct hit on New Jersey and New York City.

***UPDATE***

Place like Staten Island and Cony Island were flooded by the storm surge. Roads are blocked and debris is all over the place. There is no electricity and food and gasoline are in short supply. What is Emperor Bloomberg’s plan to deal with all this? Take care of the New York Marathon first.

Here are a few details from the New York Post:

As hundreds of thousands of Big Apple residents suffer in homes left without power by Hurricane Sandy, two massive generators are being run 24/7 in Central Park — to juice a media tent for Sunday’s New York City Marathon. And a third “backup” unit sits idle, in case one of the generators fails.

What the hell is this idiot thinking? The Marathon should be either canceled or at the very least, postponed until the city gets power back on for all those people now in the dark. People are actually dumpster diving looking for food.

As of Friday morning, five generators sat outside of the park along with electrical stations and transformers.

In addition to the generators, a food services truck dropped off hundreds of cases of water, sparking angered responses from hurricane victims.

Didn’t this idiot learn anything from Hurricane Katrina and just how badly Mayor Ray “Chocolate City” Nagin botched the recovery? Apparently not! The arrogance and incompetence of Bloomberg almost rises to the levels of Obama. (Who Bloomberg worships the water he things Obama walks on apparently)

While looking around for more details on this mess, I found a report on Breitbart you may be interested in:

[T]hose urging the city to halt the run believe that the thousands of Marathon volunteers could direct their efforts towards post-Sandy relief and cleanup, “and they also argue that the event will divert thousands of police from important hurricane-related duties.” But despite petitions circulating, work started up again yesterday on the Marathon route.

A tipster, who wishes to remain anonymous, told us there were lots of workers in and out of the park today, who had “started before the storm and then came back starting yesterday.” Trailers are lined up from around 71st to 66th Streets on Central Park West, a food truck was set up today, and “generators have been sitting there at least a week.” The tents that were taken down prior to the storm have also been set back up, and there is a stage set up near 73rd Street.

Considering all the volunteer help and NYPD attention that’s already being diverted to the Marathon, the added sight of generators and food being channeled to the event is probably going to strike some New Yorkers as a little misplaced—we’re thinking of the ones who are currently lined up waiting for the National Guard to ration out MREs and bottles of water.

Do you think the Emperor Bloomberg and his court of elitist jesters care one whit about the suffering and needs of their constituencies? Silly you. Of course they don’t care. Of course the local Pols are trying to do their job, but they need help from further up the line. For instance:

Staten Island Borough President Jim Molinaro blasted Mayor Bloomberg’s decision to divert needed supplies from Staten Island to this Sunday’s New York City marathon:

Molinaro urged New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg Wednesday to cancel Sunday’s New York City Marathon. The race’s staging area is on Staten Island and Molinaro said it would be “crazy, asinine,” to have the race after what has happened.

“My God. What we have here is terrible, a disaster,” Molinaro said Wednesday. “If they want to race, let them race with themselves. This is no time for a parade. A marathon is a parade. Now is the time to put your shoulder to the wheel. If they want to prepare for something, let them prepare for the election, not a marathon.”

“Do you realize how many police officers you need for a marathon?” he asked. “There are people looting stores on Midland Avenue. There is looting taking place in the homes on the South Shore that were destroyed. That is where we need the police.”

Bloomberg doesn’t care. He needs those cops for more important things, like busting vendors who sell Big Gulp sized drinks and restaurants that might use trans-fats and salt in their recipes. Stopping looters? Not in their job description I guess.

The New York Post also tees off on this moronic mayoral midget in this editorial:

Marathon is power mad!

Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers huddle in the dark each night after the most devastating storm in city history — while two massive generators chug away in Central Park and a third sits idle waiting to power a media center during Sunday’s NYC Marathon.

Like hell.

Those generators could power 400 homes on Staten Island or the Rockaways or any storm-wracked neighborhood in the city certain to be suffering the after-effects of Hurricane Sandy on Sunday morning.

Shouldn’t they come first? Shouldn’t the race just be canceled?

Damned straight.

But Mayor Mike’s trademark Manhattan myopia is back: While ravaged outer-borough New Yorkers shiver in the dark, he declares the race will go on.

As The Post reports today, the industrial-strength generators have been set up to power a marathon tent.

Meanwhile, NYPD vehicles — and cops themselves — were diverted yesterday to race duty. More than a dozen flatbed trucks used to shuttle people and supplies to and from devastated areas were dispatched to help put up . . . spectator barriers.

Meanwhile, the notion that so much as a flashlight battery would be devoted to a sporting event is outrageous.

Read the entire editorial. To say they are ripping mad is an understatement. Even the New York Slimes Times is covering this fiasco and they aren’t providing cover for Emperor Mike the Moronic. Many of the Moronic Midgets political allies are telling him this is a really bad idea and that the race should be canceled and the resources used for disaster relief.

Christine C. Quinn, the City Council speaker and an ally of the mayor’s, added her voice to a chorus of politicians calling for the race to be postponed or canceled. “The decision to move forward with the marathon is not a decision I would have made,” she said in a statement. “That said, I think we need to look forward and continue to focus on the task at hand — helping those without electricity, food and water and rebuilding our city.”

These cries are falling on tone deaf ears of course. Bloomberg has no intention of actually doing his job. As I recall, this will be his last term, and then he probably plans to buy the presidency of the United States in 2016 so he can piss off the entire country. (And send out his goon squads to confiscate people’s guns and junk food)

Well New York, you did it to yourself. Mayor Rudolf Guilani did his two terms and stepped down even though people wanted him to stay in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. He said that he had completed his terms and that the recently passed term limits only allowed two terms for Mayor. As we all remember, Bloomberg rigged the system so he could become mayor for life, and the people of New York let him get away with it.

Suck to be you.

I won’t even bother with President Photo Op’s quick pass through the area and New Jersey Governor Christy all but dropping to his news and performing fellatio on him the other day. That’s another post.

Thatisall

And a quick update.
