Stupid educators being stupid

I saw these two stories over the weekend and, like everyone else, wondered why these so called “Educators” are allowed anywhere near children. Both of these stories deal with the idiocies of “Zero Tolerance” systems put in place years ago. The correct term would “Zero Thought” or Zero Common Sense.”

The first case is not only stupid, but downright dangerous. A student managed to take a gun away from another teenager who was threatening to shoot someone. He was suspended for his actions. Here’s the story from Fox News.

A 16-year-old Florida high school student says he was suspended for three days for wrestling a loaded gun away from a teen threatening to shoot. Fox4Now.com reports that the student, who attends Cypress Lake High School in Fort Myers, tackled the 15-year-old suspect on a school bus after he allegedly pointed the weapon at another student.

“I think he was really going to shoot him right then and there,” said the student, who declined to be identified.

So, how did the school treat this young man for risking his life and potentially saving the life of others around him? Did they give him an award and say “Well done!” Of course not. This is the modern American public school system.

According to the referral the student received the following day, he was suspended for his role in an “incident” where a weapon was present and given an “emergency suspension,” the station reported.

And what was the excuse for this “Emergency” suspension?

The boy’s mother told Fox4Now.com her son was suspended because he refused to cooperate with the investigation, adding that he was scared.

I’m going to take a guess and rather then sit down with this fine young man and say “Well Done! Now we need you to tell us what happened for the paperwork. Oh, you aren’t in any trouble.”, it went more like “OK, why did you attack that other boy?” I’ll also wager that when he perceived that he was going to be railroaded by those incompetent morons, he exercised his right to remain silent. I will further wager that his parents were not contacted until after he was suspended.

In the second incident, an even stupider group of “Educators” demonstrated they should not be allowed out of the house unless escorted by a competent adult. Of course, this incident took place in Maryland, which is just to the left of North Korea politically. Again, from Fox News.

A 7-year-old Maryland boy was suspended from school for two days for shaping a breakfast pastry into what his teacher thought looked like a gun, according to his father.

FoxBaltimore.com reports that Josh Welch, a second-grader at Park Elementary School in Baltimore, was eating a strawberry tart when he decided to shape it into a mountain.

“All I was trying to do was turn it into a mountain but, it didn’t look like a mountain really and it turned out to be a gun [kind of],” Josh told the station.

This group of so called “Educators” need to be fired. They have demonstrated that they are so utterly incompetent that I consider them to be a danger to the children they are supposed to be teaching and protecting. In both cases, if I were the parent, my first call would be to these morons to find out if they had failed their drug tests. Obviously, they failed lunch when they were in school, which, in the minds of the Liberal Progressive Education Establishment, makes them perfect to be education professionals.

When they blow off the parents, call a lawyer and let slip the dogs of litigation. None of this “I want to clear his record” nonsense, it’s time to go for cold hard cash. The goal is to bankrupt those school systems and their city governments, then offer them an out. Pay for the lawyer and your time and fire every single one of the morons who have shown their complete inability to use their brains when it comes to situations like this.

In the case of the young Florida lad, he deserves a hearty “Well Done!” In the case of the boy eating the pop tart, the obviously incompetent teachers and administrators should have simply said, “Josh, take a bite out of that. Some stupid politically correct imbecile might think you were trying to make a gun.” This would be followed up with a nice pat on the back and a few jokes with the boy.

Now, I don’t have any children, but I have seen some of this stupidity on parade with my niece and nephew. Mrs. Webmaster used to teach in China and when she hears about things like this, she just rolls her eyes and says “Stupid Americans.” When Mrs. Webmaster was a teacher in the “Old Country” she was more concerned with teaching her charges how to read, write and mathematics. If one of them acted up, the parents would be called in to deal with the issue. That kid would then be introduced to the real “Board of Education” or if it wasn’t available, the “Belt of Education,” just like I was back when children actually learned things in school.

It’s far past time for parents to stand up to these “Professional Educators” and run them out of town on a rail. I mean that literally. These teachers, principles, superintendents, etc, need to be, if required, thrown physically off the school property. Those politicians that back them and their union thugs? Use boxcars. They hold more.
