More stuff from the IT caverns

Greeting People! It is I, the BOFH of Anger Central. I’ve been busy the last few weeks working on things around the office and trying to keep that moron Webmaster from downloading the latest virus.  Because of this I haven’t had a lot of time to work on the back end of the blog.

Well I’ve been doing a few odds and ends here. I’ve just added a connection to Last.fm so you can see what we like to listen to in the office. As you can see we’re a rather eclectic bunch and listen to a wide range of music.

You WON’T find rap music, or as I call it, crap music. Also you won’t find C&W, or opera. No one here likes it. At the moment, we have Kodo playing in the background. Later it might be Enya or The Who. You’ll just have to look at the widget to know for sure.

Speaking of that widget, we are looking for one that updates in real time and doesn’t require a refresh. Also, we’ve junked Winamp on our system and gone with Atunes. It has a better interface that Mozilla like app I can’t recall at the moment.

In other tech news, WordPress has a new update. I’m going to hold off a bit to see how other sites handle their upgrades. I really don’t want to  go through another recovery like last time, thank you very much.

Micr$loth has finally released Windows 7. Just like last time they are selling 9 million different versions. Yuck! I liked it better when all you had were 2 choices. One for home networks and one for business networks. Made it nice and simple. Of course that greedhead marketing idiot Steve Ballmer can’t do things in a simple manner.

I’ve played with the RC versions on a virtual machine and I think it looks rather good. I loathe the interface, but the back end is a heck of a lot better then the last disaster M$ released. I’ve help off getting new systems that couldn’t handle Windows XP for the simple reason Microsoft Vista was the lamest piece of crap since Windows ME. Now I’ll consider moving to the new OS.

Speaking of new computers, Anger Central’s budget got blown out this week with plumbing problems. I’ll let the Angry Webmaster fill you in, but let’s just say that good plumbers ain’t cheap.
