Congress forced to live under the laws they pass?

Good day all. I’ve been sitting on this for the last few days and though it would be a good time to bring it up. Now that Obamacare has crashed and is in the process of burning, people are beginning to notice that Obama, in violation of that very law, imperiously allowed Congress to be exempt.

One of the reasons for this exemption was the staffers on the Hill figured out they couldn’t afford Obamacare and were going to quit and find real jobs elsewhere. This through the Politicians Democrats into a blind panic since most of them couldn’t tie their own shoes without help. If I recall correctly, when Obamacare was passed, congress was not exempted from this disaster. In fact, one of the issues after Il Douche ignored the law, (again), during the Obama/Reid shutdown was to force Congress the Democrats to suffer right along with the rest of us.

There is a long history of Congress specifically exempting themselves from the laws that force on the rest of America. When people find out just how many privileges these weasels have, people start looking for tar, feathers and a good supply of rope. Unfortunately, the only way we can stop these scum from exempting themselves is by constitutional amendment. Rand Paul is starting to push for just such an amendment. Senator Paul’s amendment reads:

‘Section 1. Congress shall make no law applicable to a citizen of the United States that is not equally applicable to Congress.

‘Section 2. Congress shall make no law applicable to a citizen of the United States that is not equally applicable to the executive branch of Government, including the President, Vice President, ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, and all other officers of the United States, including those provided for under this Constitution and by law, and inferior officers to the President established by law.

‘Section 3. Congress shall make no law applicable to a citizen of the United States that is not equally applicable to judges of the Supreme Court of the United States, including the Chief Justice, and judges of such inferior courts as Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.

‘Section 4. Nothing in this article shall preempt any specific provision of this Constitution.’

Getting this through Congress is not easy. The amendment will need to pass both the house and the senate by a 2/3 majority before it can be sent on to the states. Then it will require 3/4 of the state legislatures to approve the proposed amendment before it can be ratified and made part of the Constitution.

Now I suspect that if this amendment did arrive in the state legislatures, it would probably pass. They are just as fed up as everyone else is at the 535 little barons of the United States House of Representatives, (435 members), and the United States Senate, (100 members). The problem is getting it through the House and Senate in the first place.

These arrogant slime, people such as Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John McCain and others truly believe that they are special and that they aren’t answerable to their constituents. I also don’t see the party Grand Poohahs endorsing this either. It’s really going to take a grass roots campaign to get this started.

One of the problems with getting any support from this is that most people won’t know that Senator Paul has actually proposed this amendment. There is no way the Obama Steno Pool will cover it, unless it can be used to suck up to Obama and the Progressive Liberal Democrats and bash the Tea Party. It would be nice though, to see people who meet with their representatives, (House and Senate), pointedly ask them if they will support Paul’s amendment and work to pass it in both chambers. I suspect the Tea Party and conservative members will agree and the Progressive Liberal Democrats and RINO’s will hem, haw, dissemble and lie about this. The last thing this walking turds want to do is give up their special privileges and be forced to live like the rest of the serfs. And they wonder why people are talking about civil war?
