Algore huffed and puffed but CO2 levels stayed the same

For the last 15 years, the Global Warming cultists have been screaming that we “Have to reduce CO2!” and that “The Earth will turn into Venus!”

These cultists have even managed to get the United States Supreme Court to rule that Carbon Dioxide is a pollutant. This has led to the Obama run Environmental Agency to start the process of regulating the vary air that you breathe.

Well, it looks like a rather large monkey wrench has just been thrown into the works. A news story on Science Daily reports that CO2 levels have remained unchanged for the last 150 years.

Oops! Now how did THAT get past the AGW cult censors?

No Rise of Airborne Fraction of Carbon Dioxide in Past 150 Years, New Research Finds

Most of the carbon dioxide emitted by human activity does not remain in the atmosphere, but is instead absorbed by the oceans and terrestrial ecosystems. In fact, only about 45 percent of emitted carbon dioxide stays in the atmosphere.

Only 45 percent? How is that possible? After all, The Pope of the Church of Global Warming has stated that we are all going to burn up and die because CO2 levels will soon rival those found on Venus.

However, some studies have suggested that the ability of oceans and plants to absorb carbon dioxide recently may have begun to decline and that the airborne fraction of anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions is therefore beginning to increase.

Well, I knew they wouldn’t stay off the reservation for long. I’m sure the Grand Inquisitors from the Church of Global Warming paid the people involved with this study a visit. No doubt they had a nice little chat with them and convinced the editors to make a few changes to the story.

Now what else did they have to say?

Many climate models also assume that the airborne fraction will increase. Because understanding of the airborne fraction of carbon dioxide is important for predicting future climate change, it is essential to have accurate knowledge of whether that fraction is changing or will change as emissions increase.

The first problem with the above paragraph is the word “assume.” When You Assume, You Make An “Ass” out of “U” and “Me.” The first rule of real science is you don’t assume anything. You observe, test and verify.

There’s more of course and I recommend that you follow the links and read what Wolfgang Knorr of the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol has to say. He seems to be someone who knows what he’s doing and not just another raving loon or a corrupt scumbag claiming to be an objective scientist.

More and more things are coming out showing that the Anthropogenic Global Warming is nothing more then an attempt to wreck the western world economically in general and the United States in particular.

The story on the hacked emails from the East Anglia Climate Research Unit has been largely ignored by the Mainly Slimy Media. However the Fox Network has been covering the story to some extent as well as Telegraph in England. I would recommend reading a column by James Delingpole titled Climategate: the final nail in the coffin of ‘Anthropogenic Global Warming’

While researching this posting I recalled hearing something about the North American Carbon Sink and did a quick Google search. I came up with a few things including this article from the NASA Earth Observatory web site. Titled Rain helps Carbon Sink, it has a great opening sentence:

Contrary to popular opinion, when it comes to greenhouse gas emissions, the United States cannot accurately be labeled as all give and no take.

It goes on to say:

In fact, of the 5 billion tons of carbon dioxide our consumer driven country coughs up a year, roughly 15 to 30 percent is reabsorbed back into the land. Scientists refer to such a draw down of carbon as a carbon sink. Though researchers have known of this North American carbon sink for the better part of the 20th century, they do not understand precisely what is causing the sink or why the amount of carbon absorbed seems to increase over the years. (Italics mine)

They don’t understand what is absorbing the CO2? Hello?!?! You ever hear of trees you clowns? Read the whole thing for yourselves. I went through it and there’s a lot of scientific gobbledygook that I will admit I don’t fully understand.

I know from personal experience that forest lands in the North Eastern U.S. have increased in the last century. This is due primarily to farm lands being abandoned as uneconomical to work. Since the fields aren’t being plowed, the forests are moving back in.

Why were the farms abandoned as uneconomical? This is an easy one. The land around here is very good at growing granite and other assorted rocks. The farmers simply pulled up stakes and went west where there was a lot more open land and better soil.

I think that 2010 will be the year that a stake is finally driven through the heart of Anthropogenic Global Warming, better known as AGW. This will be a major financial blow to the likes of Al Gore and Gorge Soros since those two have been neck deep in phony baloney carbon credits and useless green technologies.

Now I shouldn’t say that Green Tech is useless, but the fact is it isn’t financially viable without massive government intervention. The first thing Soros and Gore want is the complete shutdown of the coal industry.

Coal is a major producer of air pollution and “Evil Carbon Dioxide,”  however it is also a cheap and plentiful source of energy. With the technology today, coal is cleaner then at any time in history. If you want to see what burning coal is like without the filters used today, visit China. The Olympics last summer just gave a hint of how bad it can be. I speak from personal experience.

One bit of clean energy the members of the Church of Global Warming won’t even look at is nuclear power. Nuclear power is absolutely free of CO2 with the possible exceptions of the fire extinguishers.

Oh no, we can’t have nukes! Why we will have wall to wall Three Mile Island’s and Chernobyl’s all over the Earth! We will all die of radiation and our children will have three heads and glow in the dark!

Right, and I have a bridge I’ld like to sell you in the Everglades.

Nuclear power is safe. The technology has been advancing for decades around the world. Not here of course. I won’t go into all the new designs that are being looked into. I will say that I recently read that some experts are talking about Thorium reactors rather then Uranium reactors. Apparently there is a lot more Thorium out there and it appears it can’t be weaponized.

Well I’ve said enough. It’s in your hands now. Are you going to let the ruling elite rob you of your livelihood just so they can feel good as well as get rich? Or are you going to fight them and vote their lackey’s out of office?
