Tax Freedom Day? What is that?

Good day all. As April 15th closes in, people are attempting to finish their tax forms and pay their taxes. Thanks to the out of control spending By Obama and the Progressive Liberal Democrats, not to mention a few moronic Republicans, the day that we stop working for the government and start working for ourselves is moving further out.

Between federal, State and Local taxes, some people, actually a growing number, are paying more then half their income to government. And what are the getting for this? Does the word “Bupkis” ring a bell? Here are some of the rather annoying details from the Daily Caller:

The day when the nation collectively has made enough money to pay its total tax burden for the year is three days later this year, according to a new report. According to a report released Monday by the Tax Foundation, this year Tax Freedom Day falls 111 days into 2014, on April 21. By April 21, to group says, Americans will have made enough to pay the $3 trillion in federal taxes and $1.5 trillion in state taxes — more than they will spend on food clothing and housing combined.

The most interesting man in the world on paying taxes

And where does all that money go? Well it certainly isn’t going to constitutionally mandated agencies, that’s for certain. No, it’s all going to things like Wanda the Welfare Witch and her 8 bastards, none of whom know who their father is. And of course, there is the Obama Vacation Plan. Millions for Maui, not one penny for defense is their motto. To continue:

Tax Freedom Day is later than it was last year, due in large part to the slow economic recovery, the tax policy research group argues.

Tax Freedom Day is three days later than last year due mainly to the country’s continued slow economic recovery, which is expected to boost tax revenue especially from the corporate, payroll, and individual income tax,” authors Kyle Pomerleau and Lyman Stone write. If federal borrowing is included, the group calculated that Tax Freedom Day would fall 15 days later on May 6.

If further broken down by state, residents of high tax states would see their Tax Freedom Day later than residents of lower tax states.

Oh yes, the states also want their tens pounds of flesh.

“This means a combination of higher-income and higher-tax states celebrate Tax Freedom Day later: Connecticut (May 9), New Jersey (May 9), and New York (May 4),” the authors write. “Residents of Louisiana will bear the lowest average tax burden in 2014, with Tax Freedom Day arriving for them on March 30. Also early are Mississippi (April 2) and South Dakota (April 4).”

Well, it looks like Governor Jindal and the Louisiana legislature are doing rather well done there. This could be due to the Progressive Liberal Democrats getting the boot from various elective offices and a new crop of Republicans taking over and NOT looting the treasury for their own personal uses.

Historically, Tax Freedom Day has bounced around on the calendar. The latest Tax Freedom Day was May 1, 2000. In 1900, when Americans paid less than 6 percent of their income to taxes the day fell on Jan. 22.

Oh for the days when we only paid 6% of our hard earned money to the government. You know, one of the battle cries during the American Revolution was “No Taxation without Representation!” for years, actually decades, people have been demanding that the size and scope of the government at ALL levels be reduced. In the last 4 years that call, actually an outright demand from the taxpayers has only gotten louder. The only problem is that our so-called “Representatives” won’t listen to us and have been known to tell us to shut up.

For those that won’t, they like to sic their pals in the IRS and other agencies on freedom loving Americans. People like Senator Charles Schumer actively call on these agencies to suppress any dissent. Senator Harry Reid takes the floor of the senate and flat out lies about people who stand in opposition to him, and make false accusations towards private citizens. He does this knowing that no action can be taken by the people he attacks.

Perhaps these people should review the sales figures from Sturm Ruger, Smith & Wesson, Glock and other firearms and ammunition manufacturers. The American people are frightened, and they consider their own governments to be a threat to their freedom and security. Whenever a population reaches this point, and they have the means of doing something about it, bad things can happen. Why don’t these tax fattened hyenas try actually listening to their constituents for once in their miserable political careers? Bad things can be avoided if they just stop acting like the tyrants our founders warned us about. We have one last chance to fix this in the correct ways.

Remember in November!

And pay your taxes.
