Good day all. I just saw this little item come over the wire. It’s a story about a restaurant owner who put a sign in her window regarding the carrying of firearms. It seems that her sign generated a massive response.
What is different about this sign is that, unlike many other places, this sign welcomes those who are lawfully exercising their Second Amendment rights. In a story on Fox News, (and no where else of course):
A Tennessee restaurant owner has placed a sign in the window of her business welcoming gun owners — a move she says has brought in more customers and saved her business from closing. Shiloh Brew and Chew owner Sharma Floyd says put up the sign after seeing a news account of a business being robbed after posting a sign saying guns were not allowed in the building. The Maryville restaurant owner opted to go in the opposite direction. Floyd told WVLT-TV in Knoxville that “business exploded” and the response from customers was overwhelmingly positive.
And what does this sign say?

I can see why her business has improved so much. Many stores that try to ban lawful gun owners not only see a decrease in their sales, but an increase in crimes on or near their places of business. Now Ms. Floyd does use common sense when serving her customers. If they ask for a beer, (Which she sells), she will ask if they are carrying a firearm. If the customer indicates that he or she is, Ms. Floyd will politely inform them that beer and bullets don’t mix and that she can’t serve them an adult beverage. It appears that her customers are just fine with that too.
Now I expect the more “Progressive” members of Knoxville are passing ceramic building materials, but somehow, I doubt they would be frequenting her restaurant in any case. If I ever make it to Knoxville, I think I’ll pay this establishment a visit for a meal.
