Meriam Ibrahim safe in Rome

Good afternoon one and all. It’s time for some good news for a change. You may recall that Meriam Ibrahim, a Christian mother married to a naturalized American, had been convicted in a Sudanese court of not being a Muslim. Those barbarians sentenced her to be flogged and then hanged.

Ms. Ibrahim was about 8 months pregnant with her second child when this travesty of justice came down, and was locked up in a prison. While there, she gave birth to a daughter while chained to a wall. After months of pressure from everyone, with the notable exception of Il Douche, Ms. Ibrahim and her family were freed. She then proceeded to the nearest airport, and was stopped and accused of having forged documents. She then hid out in the American Embassy while the civilized world, (Which excludes Islamic countries, and the White House apparently), worked to get her out of Sudan.

Well, I am happy to report that Meriam Ibrahim is safe in Rome with her family! What’s more, she has been granted an audience with Pope Francis. She’s going to spend a few days in Rome recovering from her ordeal and hopefully indulging in some really good pasta. Once she’s settled down, (And looking at her picture with Pope Francis, you can see the relief in her face), she and her family will be coming to America.

Now lest you think that she is acting like the walking pestilence factories crossing the southern border, noth bothering to go through the immigration process, Ms. Ibrahim had been waiting for her visa to come into the United States when she was arrested by the barbarians. In other words, she was waiting her turn like all law abiding immigrants when events occurred that put her life and the lives of her children at risk. Also, her husband is an American citizen, (Naturalized), and her children should be citizens by birth. (I freely admit ignorance on this part of the law)

I understand that the Wani family, (Ms. Ibrahim’s husband is Danial Wani) will be coming to New Hampshire, since her husband lives in Manchester. Since Anger Central is based in New Hampshire, I would like to say to all of them, Welcome! We’re glad to have you here! And if anyone gives you problems, Anger Central will be the first to step up and help.

I hope they enjoy the snow this winter. *grin*
