Jonathon Gruber fired by Vermont

Good day all. This story came out before the Tyrant Obama demonstrated that he doesn’t give a damn about the Constitution last night. It seems that Jonathon “Schickel” Gruber has been terminated from his contract with the state of Vermont.

When Schickel Gruber’s remarks on how the Obama tyranny crammed Obamacare down America’s throat broke a few weeks ago, mot people were outraged. The exceptions were the Progressives who think just the way Gruber does with the same level of contempt for people that Gruber has. It’s also come out that Gruber has a number of contracts with various states to help implement Obamacare. Once it became known that Gruber, who is a confessed liar, was working for a few states, calls started to have his contracts canceled. Well, Vermont has just done so. Here are the details from Fox News:

Following an embarrassing string of missteps, Vermont has stopped paying controversial economist Jonathan Gruber for his work on the Affordable Care Act. A spokesman for Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin said Wednesday that the state would no longer pay the ObamaCare architect.

“As the Governor and I have said, the comments by Mr. Gruber are offensive, inappropriate and do not reflect the thinking of this administration or how we do things in Vermont,” Lawrence Miller, said Wednesday in a statement. “As we have also said, we need solid economic modeling in order to move forward with health care reform.”

I recall seeing a member of the Vermont Legislature on television, probably Fox, reporting that he was looking to get rid of Gruber.

Last week, the state’s Senate Minority Leader, Joe Benning, called on Shumlin to terminate Gruber’s contract following the release of videos showing the MIT professor intentionally deceived the public in drafting the Affordable Care Act.

“I join with my Senate colleague, Sen. Kevin Mullin, in urging the governor to terminate his contract,” Benning, R-Caledonia, told Vermont Watchdog. “If the powers that be attempted to trick them like that, then those people should be immediately removed from positions of authority, be they elected officials or hired contractors.

Benning is the second member of the Vermont Senate to call for Gruber’s termination. Last week, Mullin, R-Rutland, a member of the Health Care Oversight Committee, told Vermont Watchdog the governor should “terminate his contract immediately.”

Well now, that is a start. What I want to see is Gruber hauled up in front of an oversight committee and asked a number of pointed question under oath. And it seems that Herr Schickel Gruber has been invited to talk to Congress According to the Daily Caller:

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chairman Darrell Issa is calling on MIT economist and so-called Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber to testify next month about “transparency failures and outright deceptions surrounding Obamacare.”

Issa also sent a letter to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services administrator Marilyn Tavener requesting her testimony as well on Dec. 9.

I have no doubt that while both Gruber and Tavener would love to speak before Issa’s committee, they will both be tied up with prior engagements. Probably a dental appointment or having to wash their hair or something. Well, these two and others are going to be paying their respects to Congress, either voluntarily or after being hit with a subpena, probably after the new congress goes into session. As more and more information comes out on just how corrupt the process was to shove this POS down our throats, the chances of an outright repeal climb. Granted, the Republicans can push a bill through the House and Senate next year, and we can take it as a given that Il Douche will veto it. The question is, will Obama have the votes in the Senate to sustain that veto, especially if the Republicans come up with something that most of the American people like?
