Attorney General Designate Loretta Lynch

Good day all. For the past few weeks, people have been looking into Eric Holder’s replacement, Loretta Lynch ((Loretta Elizabeth Lynch)). She is now testifying before the senate confirmation committees and her answers are giving a lot of people pause.

something-smells-fishy-and-it-certainly-isnt-fish

First, there are a few questions regarding Lynch following the rules and laws while the US Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t fully understand what that all means and I recommend reviewing a post on Powerline Blog about it. The writers there are lawyers and are better suited to commenting on this possible breach then I am.

Another issue, in my opinion disqualifying, is her remarks under oath regarding Obama’s granting of amnesty to criminal aliens. Here are a few details from My Way News:

Challenged by Republicans, Attorney General nominee Loretta Lynch on Wednesday defended President Barack Obama’s decision to shelter millions of immigrants from deportation though they live in the country illegally. She said that under the administration’s policy, the Department of Homeland Security is focusing its efforts on the removal of “the most dangerous of the undocumented immigrants among us.”

“It seems to be a reasonable way to marshal limited resources to deal with the problem” of illegal immigration, she said.

Ms. Lynch made that statement early in her testimony. Another and more worrying issue was Lynch’s apparent remarks stating that Illegal Aliens have the right to work once they get into the United States. According to the National Review Online, Senator Sessions, asked a followup question regarding Obama’s “Executive Amnesty.”

When Sessions followed up by asking whether she felt the action afforded illegal immigrants a right to work in the U.S., meaning the Department of Justice might have to ensure employers are giving them equal treatment alongside citizens, Lynch dodged the question.

And Lynch’s response?

With respect to the provision about temporary deferral, I did not read it as providing a legal amnesty, that is that permanent status there,” Lynch said. “With respect to whether those individuals [illegal immigrants] would be able to seek redress for employment discrimination, if that is the purpose of your question, again I haven’t studied that legal issue. I certainly think you raise an important point and would look forward to discussing it with you and using, and relying upon your thoughts and experiences as we consider that point.”

double-facepalm

This was a simple yes or no answer. The fact that Lynch tried to dodge it tell me that she does support Obama’s illegal actions regarding illegal aliens. She also dodges other very important questions that frankly, should be simple yes or no answers.

Lynch also attempted to dodge Sessions’s questions about whether she supported the president’s executive actions on immigration, and whether she considered citizenship a civil right. She declined to answer whether or not she supports the president’s action, and answered that citizenship is a privilege only after Sessions asked the same question three times.

It’s looking like Loretta Lynch is nothing more then Eric Holder in a dress and should not be confirmed. However, the RINO’s in the senate are already getting their “Approved” votes ready for casting. Here is the quote from Orrin Hatch from Hot Air.

Following this morning’s hearing of the Senate Judiciary Committee on the confirmation of Attorney General nominee Loretta Lynch, Senator Hatch said:

The Justice Department is in dire need of new leadership. For too long its decisions have been politicized and its leaders have facilitated executive abuses by this President rather than upholding the rule of law. Throughout her confirmation hearing, Ms. Lynch has demonstrated her qualifications and made specific commitments to work with Congress. I plan to support her nomination and will seek to help ensure that she upholds her commitments to enforce the law.

dead rino

Orrin Hatch is a lying Establishment RINO who only cares about keeping his seat in the Senate. He has outright lied to his own constituents. That’s the only reason he’s still in the senate. The other positive vote for Lynch is from our old friend, Lindsey Gramnesty. With those two, and the democrats who will always vote for a democrat, Lynch’s nomination will go to the full senate. Once there, I think we can count on McConnell to ram it through. It’s not like he cares one whit about the Constitution or the Rule of Law. Voting for the GOP to take over the Senate has proven to be a waste of time. It’s now time to start looking at an Article V convention ((convention to propose amendments to the United States Constitution)) to start removing power from Washington and returning it back to the citizens and the states.
