Romney reads the tea leaves…

And decides he doesn’t have a prayer of being President. Mitt Romney, who has been making a lot of noises about running for President, has announced that he will not be seeking the nomination for the Republican candidate for the 2016 election.

I would have to assume that the screams of outrage from the conservative base finally sunk in to his thick RINO head. Here are the details of his announcement from Associated Press:

After a three-week flirtation with another run for president, Mitt Romney said definitively on Friday that he will not seek the White House in 2016.

The Republican Party’s 2012 nominee plans to tell supporters about his plans to pass on another national campaign during a conference call. He first let his staff know in a separate call that he was out of the race.

From what I’ve been reading, that will a very small meeting. A lot of his 2012 staffers have been jumping the sinking ship and going to that other RINO, Bush.

“After putting considerable thought into making another run for president, I’ve decided it is best to give other leaders in the party the opportunity to become our next nominee,” Romney said in a statement, which he planned to read to supporters on the call.

Meaning he’s going to back that other RINO, Bush. Still, this is good news since so many RINO’s loved the feeling of impending doom and crushing defeat. Now all we need to do is get a few decent candidates in and destroy Jeb Bush’s hopes and dreams of continuing the failed Bush dynasty.
