Hillary’s next scandal, Clinton Cash

Good day all. There is a new book coming out in a few days that is already raising concerns on Hillary Clinton’s viability as a presidential candidate. The book, titled “Clinton Cash” is scheduled for release on May 5^th and early reviewers are already saying this could end Hillary and Bill’s dreams of a return to the White House.

The book was written by Peter Schweizer, a fellow at the Hoover Institution, lays out how Hillary was allegedly selling her office as Secretary of State. Here are some of the details from the New York Times:

The book does not hit shelves until May 5, but already the Republican Rand Paul has called its findings “big news” that will “shock people” and make voters “question” the candidacy of Hillary Rodham Clinton. “Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich,” by Peter Schweizer — a 186-page investigation of donations made to the Clinton Foundation by foreign entities — is proving the most anticipated and feared book of a presidential cycle still in its infancy.

I have not read this book, obviously so I can’t give any sort of an honest review. The very fact that the New Your Times is talking about it, rather then burying it as they usually do should cause the Clintons to worry.

The book, a copy of which was obtained by The New York Times, asserts that foreign entities who made payments to the Clinton Foundation and to Mr. Clinton through high speaking fees received favors from Mrs. Clinton’s State Department in return.

“We will see a pattern of financial transactions involving the Clintons that occurred contemporaneous with favorable U.S. policy decisions benefiting those providing the funds,” Mr. Schweizer writes.

And I believe that this is generally called a “Felony” in legal circles.

His examples include a free-trade agreement in Colombia that benefited a major foundation donor’s natural resource investments in the South American nation, development projects in the aftermath of the Haitian earthquake in 2010, and more than $1 million in payments to Mr. Clinton by a Canadian bank and major shareholder in the Keystone XL oil pipeline around the time the project was being debated in the State Department.

Obviously, the bank made a bad investment, considering that King Putt has blocked the Keystone XL pipeline yet again. Of course, his biggest contributors run alternative pipelines and transportation systems that would directly compete with Keystone, so Hillary’s influence here was limited.

In the long lead up to Mrs. Clinton’s campaign announcement, aides proved adept in swatting down critical books as conservative propaganda, including Edward Klein’s “Blood Feud,” about tensions between the Clintons and the Obamas, and Daniel Halper’s “Clinton Inc.: The Audacious Rebuilding of a Political Machine.”

Well, the Clintons are utterly corrupt and do make a nice target. Still, I can see how the Moonbat Media would move to protect them from the general swats at their “reputations.”

But “Clinton Cash” is potentially more unsettling, both because of its focused reporting and because major news organizations including The Times, The Washington Post and Fox News have exclusive agreements with the author to pursue the story lines found in the book.

Uh Oh! If the information is that specific that even the Times has agreed to look into it, can a congressional investigation be far behind?

Members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which includes Mr. Paul and Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, have been briefed on the book’s findings, and its contents have already made their way into several of the Republican presidential candidates’ campaigns.

Forget Paul and Rubio, I want to hear what Representative Trey Gowdy has to say about this. I have a sneaking suspicion, he will be asking some rather pointed questions of the former secretary of state when she finally deigns to put in an appearance.

The Clinton Foundation has come under scrutiny for accepting foreign donations while Mrs. Clinton served as secretary of state. Last week, the foundation revised its policy to allow donations from countries like Germany, Canada, the Netherlands and Britain but prohibit giving by other nations in the Middle East.

Locking the door after the horses have already made their deposits to the Clinton’s bank accounts I see.

There is a robust market for books critical of the Clintons. The thinly sourced “Blood Feud,” by Mr. Klein, at one point overtook Mrs. Clinton’s memoir “Hard Choices” on the best-seller list.

Hard Choices was an utter failure. It ended up on the seconds table even before Hillary finished her book tour. Now, if you read through the remainder of the Times story, you will see them moving in to protect their Progressive pals, the Clintons. They are already starting the process of denigrating the book. However, if this book is as focused and sourced as the Times is leading me to believe, Hillary Clinton not only won’t be president, there is a good chance she could be charged with accepting bribes.

If you look back on the Clinton’s past behaviors, other then Bill’s proclivity of screwing anything in a skirt, you will see how they will do almost anything for money. There is also Hillary’s belief that the rules do not apply to her. There is a long trail of deception, obstruction, deceit and fraud following the Clintons and this, hopefully, will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
